Carly gets to choose where we are going for Valentine’s Day. She decides to go down under to the Outback Steakhouse. We are going to review the 3 Course Meal offer that is the current promotion. Outback Steakhouse is an Australian-themed casual dining restaurant chain known for its hearty and flavorful steaks. Ours too! This is a good deal for $16.99. Normally if you add soup instead of a salad it is an upcharge but you had your choice with this deal. Plus you get dessert too. Thanks for watching. We enjoyed it!

Outback Steakhouse is a favorite of ours. We went there for Valentine's Day like a decade ago when we lived in Virginia Beach. There was a 3 hour wait. It was next to a movie theater - so we just went to a movie for a couple hours, then came back to the restaurant and still had a little while to wait. But the food at Outback is worth the wait. It is a favorite of ours. Especially if the bread is hot and you ask for honey butter. And the steaks are good. Jack likes their ribs and chicken on the barbie. Another great restaurant review!

Wow! Had time for a movie! When we got there it wasn't a wait but it was when we left. The bread is delicious at Outback! I usually get the chicken on the Barbie or Alice Springs Chicken. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

OUTBACK has always been my favorite. I ate there about 3 weeks ago. I had sirloin and coconut shrimp sweet tea yum

We don't like dressing. I (Cindy) will occasionally eat dressing if the restaurant has one that I like. David never eats it. Carly enjoys dressing when she eats a salad. Everything was delicious. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Looked great! We haven't been to Outback in years. Loved David calling out all the "A-1 Haters". I used to love the fried mushrooms as the appetizer.

Good choice by Carly! Hard to go wrong at Outback. Liked the Intro! At least yours is one of the "classic" locations and not one of the "new" smaller ones. God Bless!

You can't go wrong with Outback, the blooming friend chicken is very phenomenal and while it's an extra upcharge their chili and steakhouse Mac n cheese are both really delicious! I 100% recommend trying them!

I've had the steakhouse mac n cheese many times. You're right it is delicious. Will remember about the chili and the blooming fried chicken. If you get a chance check out our video from Val's Comfort Kitchen. I think you would really like this place too.

Yes, the potato soup. The salad depends on how fresh the ingredients are in it. We have some amazing experiences at Outback and then we will have some that are not very amazing. lol The service and food this night was on point. Thanks so much for watching!

We had a very nice Valentine's Day. You definitely want to go when they have a special going on. They run different ones at different times. I see that the Roanoke location is open everyday for lunch. The Lynchburg one is only open on weekends for lunch.

Went for lunch today. We both had the 3 course meal... house salad, 6 ounce sirloin, & mashed potatoes. 2 diet cokes. 2 raspberry cheesecakes. Food was good, but my experience soured when I got the bill. Waitress had asked us if we wanted loaded mashed potatoes or regular. We both opted for loaded. She neglected to mention that there was an UPCHARGE for the loaded version. The $14.99 entree options were a burger or (2) seafood options... neither of which we wanted. The 6 oz. sirloin was $16.99. We were charged $7.58 for two diet cokes & 39.96 for the two entrees. With tax, the bill came to $50.64. With tip... SIXTY DOLLARS! They added SIX DOLLARS to sprinkle a little cheese, bacon bits, and sour cream on our potatoes. Yikes. Lesson learned... doubt we'll go back. Better deal at Applebee's... steak quality is not quite as good, but MUCH more afforable... like 30% less! Texas Roadhouse has a better deal too.

Restaurants have ways to put extra charges on things. I have learned that if they ask if you want anything loaded that it’s going to be an additional charge. I will ask if something is additional and how much of an additional charge. Drinks are another item that add a lot to a bill. I drink water mostly. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.

Carly is such a sweetheart! I thought it was a deal for the price but the beverages is where where they get people. Cindy, I like your name, lol as well as your beautiful Valentine sweater. Yeah it’s better to have a hot potato but the pre- made reheated baked potatoes are the worse. I enjoy David’s southern accent being that I am from the North. It’s snowing outside now and the plow trucks are out and about. I wish I lived in the south! Burrr! Have a nice weekend family.

We thought it was a good deal for the 3 course meal. One thing to note is you could get soup with this deal without having to do an upcharge for it, like the normal menu. I am with you about the reheated baked potatoes, I do not like them at all. David definitely has a distinctive accent. I've been wanting some snow, so I'm jealous. We have cold temperatures this weekend but no snow. ❄ Is Cindy a nickname for Cynthia? It is for me. Stay warm this weekend!

Carly made a wonderful choice, David and Cindy. Easier on the pocketbook too! The bread and soup looked wonderful. The salads as well. But, the entrees stole the show! I would have went with the steak, but the chicken looked delicious too. Lovely Valentines dinner. Nice about the gift cards too. Thanks so much for bringing us along! Carly's choice was definitely easier on the pocketbook than David's and mine. We thought the 3 Course meal deal was an excellent deal. David had got an email about that deal. The night we got there they had a Valentine's deal but it wasn't as good of a deal as the 3 course so we went with that. We wouldn't have known about that deal if he hadn't received the email. Carly loves their bread at Outback. We enjoyed our meals. Hopefully they will have a good promotion when we go back and use their $10 off and free blooming onion card. I'm sure Carly would love to help you with your outros. lol Have a good weekend!

That looked like a very reasonable special offer. With prices so high on everything, it's nice to get a break. Everything looked good & yes, a sirloin is not as tender as a ribeye. Sirloins are lean & Ribeyes are marbled with fat & more tender. That's why they cost more. Lol. Carly made a great choice & Belated Happy Valentine's Day!

We thought it was a good deal for all 3 courses. On this deal you can get soup without an upcharge. On their normal menu it's always an upcharge now. I like a filet or sirloin but David definitely prefers a ribeye or prime rib. We think Carly made a really good choice too. Thanks for watching and commenting.

This is definitely a good deal. The food was very tasty too. A Big Mac meal at $18 sounds so crazy. I have heard people say that this is the price at some locations. @@vafunseekers northern NJ here. I love the outback in edgewater new jersey. I used to go there all the time. It looked like someone didnt like the way the steak was cooked. if I do a six ounce, what do u recommend? do they still have garlic mashed potatoes. I say i do a six ounce potato soup and side of garlic mashed. do they offer those sides with the cheese cake - caramel? strawberries? lynchburg Tenn. no?

@@subaruamazon They still have the combo deal with the cheesecake. I'm not sure for how long. When I (Cindy) order a steak I like it medium well with just a trace of pink. David and Carly like it medium (more pink). So I would recommend one of those depending on your preference. I see loaded mashed potatoes on the menu but not garlic mashed potatoes. They have a good baked potato, steamed broccoli, steakhouse mac-n-cheese, and sweet potato. They offer caramel and chocolate with the cheesecake. They bought Carly strawberries on the side because she asked about strawberry cheesecake. We went to the Outback in Lynchburg, VA. It was a good meal that night. @@vafunseekers the one in edgewater is right on the hudson river. if you sit outside, you have a great view of Manhattan. used to go all the time. since covid, not so much. they also have one on Staten Island. I will let u know. I love a good baked potato with butter. yummy.

I think the Outback does a better job preparing their broccoli than most other chains. We thought the 3 course meal deal was an excellent value. We definitely enjoyed it.

I love A1!! No hating here. The only thing I don’t like about outback is all the ice berg lettuce in the salad. Gimme dat romaine. Y’all’s means looked nice and healthy overall. Lynchburg !

I prefer a spring mix or spinach instead of the ice berg lettuce. The greener the lettuce the better for me. We enjoyed our meals here and thought the 3 course special was an excellent deal. Hope y'all have a fantastic week!

I have not been to the Roanoke location. Quite a few of the Outback locations have closed the last couple years. We enjoyed our dinner there that night and thought the 3 course meal was a good deal. We talked with someone yesterday from Roanoke when we were doing a video and they suggested a few places for us to try in Roanoke. They suggested Lews Restaurant Southwest, Mama Jeans BBQ, and Basil Pizza to name a few.

Had outback steakhouse in 2001 and thank God it was free cause it was just nasty 🤢. There out of business now so glad you all think it's good

Probably out of business because they were nasty. We have been to different Outback's throughout the years and they are not consistent at different locations. You would think they would be more consistent. I know they have had lots to close. Thanks for watching and commenting.

The steaks were 6oz. so the definitely were not big steaks. The cheesecake slices were smaller than their normal cheesecake they serve because they were personal size. We thought they were a good size for that. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

Outback has flopped. You should go to Melito's in the West End Henrico County Va if you want a good steak! Very good food.

I have not heard of Melito's so I just looked it up. It has a huge menu. The prices looked reasonable too. Will add that to our list of places to try. I noticed they had hot dogs on the menu, which you don't see that often on a menu other than a kids menu. Must be good hotdogs. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I commented but I don't know where the comment went. I am hard to please with steak and all of their steaks have been wonderful at Melitos. I did try the hot dog and didn't think it was very good but that's just me. I like the ribeye and I've also had the crab cakes. It's usually crowded so a lot of people must feel the same way I do. I've never heard of that before. Will stay away from the hotdogs then. Too many other things on the menu that looked good anyway. lol

I miss the croutons they use to make in house. They were the best. The ones they use now are good but nothing like the homemade ones. We enjoyed our meal and thought it was reasonably priced.
