After struggling to pick a class, I freshly rolled to valk, as I've for some reason been very curious and interested in her. This guide helped me gain an understanding on an extremely confusing and not-straight-forward class that hopefully I'll fall in love with.

I just recently re rolled from sorc three days ago because i always play tanks, played lancer in Tera which is the main reason i'm doing valk and i gotta say i loved it, i just got one question out of the whole guide, valk play style will mostly be on awakening right ? unlike sorc which needs to swap too often, if so, do i still need to grab all the pre awakening skills you showed in the vid ? like shield chase considering chasing on lance is infinite if you got enough stamina ~ hope you can answer and bad ass guide btw !
Im glad to hear you liked it!! and unfortunately no, valk is one of the classes that weapon swaps the most! maybe more than sorc, especially in pvp. in pve maybe not so much but you still need to ^^
Recently got into playing valk coming from playing lahn. I guess I will break my fingers at some point due to all these button u have to press to be a good valk. But it also seems to be super worth it and I am eager to learn! Thanks for sharing this with the community Amouu :)

Great video ty. How do you feel about valk succession? I think it looks amazing but cant decide between that and succ sorc. Especially mobility sorc looks better
@@amouutv after pvp abit in trials i decided on succ valk. Although i had no idea what i was doing, it felt easier and i felt like i could be aggressive where as i found myself just running away and trying to bait as sorc.
What gear would you recommend for pvp? I'm currently running an ap monkey build with 270 kutum for pve, which is fine but might not be the best choice for pvp. I'm mostly looking for RBF and 1v1s, not so much for nodewars etc.
Hey I don't know if anyone else has commented this/if you just misspoke, but in your basic movement section you mention that A/D + LMB or RMB gives 20% movement speed, but if you use RMB it actually gives 20% critical hit for 10 seconds. Also, this video is so thorough and amazing it completely changed my understanding of how valks work. I have so many new things to try and I want to set up my skills and crystals totally different from how I'd been doing it prior. Thank you so much for putting this out here! My guild (Daedra) doesn't really have any veteran valks to teach me so I've been running blind for the most part, and this is definitely useful ;0;

Best valk video out there! Loved it! May I suggest a slow motion video of the combos, possibly up close so we/I can really see what it's like. Everything's so fast, it's hard to take in the combo and mimic.
@@amouutv I love my valk, but also love being a perma-red player. As a valk its hard to open world pvp, and so i'm slowly transitioning into a Ninja. I found this video and it really helped. I really enjoy the slow motion that the author used and the way he did it. Take a look. It really helped me understand and learn the Ninja. Maybe you could take something away. hiya! i would recommend judgement of light / skyward strike / heavens echo / just counter / lucem fluxem flow / shining dash on hotbar if possible. make sure just counter and heavens echo are easy to hit
Wonderful job on your guide! Do you not like using Absolute SoJ in pvp at all? i noticed you didnt have it in your skills. I feel like its a strong cleave but i understand its situational. I feel like its nice for PVE in higher end grind spots and ive used it in PvP but wondering if I should stop. I should add i use it for the quick cancel after Celestial spear, NOT the long animation.
It's very good for pvp! and decent for pve. however in pvp there is better skills to use nowadays considering scaling changes and all. you may be better off using the cspear. ty for watching and i appreciate the kind words! ♥

rerolled from myst (since release, no metaroller) to valk and im so much more satisfied cause this class has so much to offer. I feel like i accomplished something and learned something when i learn new mechanics and actually use them in proper situations. I tested almost every class now and i must say, valk is the most satisfying for me. (Myst 62, Mage 61, Lahn 61, now Valk 62 - damn proud and happy.)

K.K hello! thank you for watching ^^ it is combine 3 black claws and use them to pierce a costume. the crystal is from crafted costumes in game like orwen travel + tailor coupon. then melt that costume. basically a 15 dollar crystal.
I just played the Xbox beta for bdo and I liked Warrior the most out of the classes we had. Valkyrie looks really fun and like Warrior with a different flavor. I really can't decide between the two. I don't know if it's possible to answer, but if I enjoyed Warrior do you think I'd enjoy Valkyrie, or are they more different feeling than I think?

Awesome video dude. But i still have a question. Grind on valk to lvl 61 is a pain because i really feel slower close to my other party members. Maybe nagas is not a best choice because the distance between mobs packs? Or im doing something wrong?
rafael baani sadly no): its just how valkyrie is, we are not very good grinders until very late game when we can do hystria/aakman/gyfin/mirumok. but thank you so much for watching!

@Amouu. I love your videos. Thanks a lot. I play a 62 245 kutum ap Valk and did not know a lot of the stuff you presented in this tutorial. I would love to see some PVE specific content like for say the combos you would use against tougher mobs in hystria, aakman, Trees and manshums to some extent. I have watched some of your PVE on twitch and your abilities seem to come out impossibly fast and it’s hard to see what you are actually doing. I’ve been going back through the Valk discord and some of it makes more sense after watching your video, but I still feel there are things that are lacking, and maybe some stuff that is just wrong based on your video. For instance I have adopted your terra Sancta addons and agree that the cast buff /target de buff seals the deal. Where the Discord BDO Valkyrie guide just says those debuff skills will just annoy your opponent and makes it seem not useful. I see This video in the discord and the other one you’ve just released needs to be there too! Great job man. You have restored my faith in this crippled class. I’m highly interested in anything I can do to help. Especially if it helps me learn more about Valk. Wheldrake NA

Heard a lot about valk being apm heavy and that's a bit why I started maining it with kuno and tamer. But I was never able to find a very comprehensive guide for it since most of top players in my region do not show most of their techniques. Thanks a lot for this very pedagogic display, I hope I'll be able to hold up in pvp with more of that sweet practice.

I heard a lot of people talking about valkyrie's "high dps", but how are you able to parse damage in this game with no actual UI that contains a combat log, damage calculations over a window of time? Or anything else that allows one to conclude valk is the highest dps in the game?
ʜᴜsʜʙʟᴀᴅᴇ hi! there is damage numbers on a test server of bdo called “global lab” but its also been tested against monsters and players by various different members of the community. valk is one of the highest burst classes in game

Hello... great video thanks for making it! It has helped me a lot as a new Valk. :) One question... you stressed that we lock Evasion, but you did not say why, and as a new Valk I do not understand the importance of why I should lock Evasion. Would you please elaborate a bit?
Webby Gaming im happy to hear! ( ^ω^ ). we mainly lock evasion because evasion roll is unprotected, and only gets casted when you have no stamina, the animation is long and unfortunately isnt very good in pvp): this applies for every class though. always lock evasion! ty for watching!

Great video man! I have one question. I was checking crystal set up in BDO planner and it's showing me AS and CS +6. Is this intentional? Because you can remove one crystal from Bheg put Hoom on it. So you would have another slot on shoes for +2 movement speed. if you do not want to buy outfit. Or I could be all wrong and you are doing it for accuracy. (Sorry if I am being stupid and not seeing something).
haha its alright man! the casting speed and aspeed comes from the gloves. the jin vipers are meant for the +40 accuracy when running both and that's where the extra +1 is coming from. any other questions feel free to swing by the streams or jump in the stream discord!
Is there something I'm doing wrong with valk movement? I'm mimicking the button pressing and none of the movement works at all? I really need help understanding
I was wondering about rerolling my lv 60 kuno into valk. I got 210 ap on the kuno, but I feel like I miss something on it. I would use the exchange coupon for my tet zarka, that would be a good start for a valk?
Could you do a slowdown comparison of speed cancel terra vs normal? I dunno, it just doesn't feel that different. By the way, would you know the specifics behind speeding up Verdict? It's something I've known was possible since awakening but I've never figured out whether you needed to get hit before the activation or during it. I'm not sure if it's possible to intentionally do it but every now and then it happens when I grind/in mass pvp and it bugs the hell out of me not knowing how I did it.
menkara gamble If you go back through the recent stream vods its the 2 hour bdo vod from yesterday i believe, i do an in depth 1 on 1 with a valkyrie looking to learn and i explain the terra sancta cancel to him a bit more in that vod. as for the verdict cast increase as far as i know its just random. i also have not figured a way to speedcast it. ty for watching! ^^
For the Counter add on, you mention that the evasion +5% is the only defensive stat you can get for it, but couldn't you roll with the all defense +15 for 10 sec. for self instead? Or does it not stack with the Heaven's Echo dp buff? Just tested it and it does stack with Heaven's Echo.
hahaha. holy shit this game is still alive? memories man, i used to play this game on japan server when i was in college. that was like what? 3 4 years ago?i stop playing right before they reveal the dark knight. i don't pvp much because i never get to the endgame but i remember back then valk have this ridiculous burst damage. i'm downloading the game again, probably going to pick a different class than valk to grind but i have to say pro valk is scary.

The community of this game is still quite big, especially when they remastered the game recently. Be honest, I came back just to see the stunning graphic, but eventually I got hooked up into it again.
Heya. Thanks for guide. But I still have questions. Im playing valk on GamezBD. My current Rs is 578. And Im struggling about boss helmet. For me they are kinda the same. But all ppl around are telling me that Griffin is better(I have both). I would like to know your opinion about which boss helmet better suites to valk
great question! the only reason we pick griffon helmet over giath helmet is that valkyrie has low base evasion. every class in bdo has x amount of base stats at level 1 with no gear. valkyrie has more damage reduction than evasion at that level and continues to scale higher with dr instead of evasion. so evasion while we CAN use it, we should preferrably always go DR heavy items like griffon urugon etc. ty for watching!♥
Amouu but they are giving the same amount of evasion (in description its like that at least). Just giath is giving +100 Hp and griffins +5% resistance +6 DR. Thats why im asking
When will JOL be important and wouldn`t echowalk speed be increased by Casting speed since your pretty much just doing promptness over and over again ?
as the previous comment stated, move speed does help! but cast speed percentage such as from addons will also help. JOL can be useful if you have the absolute version or if/when it ever gets buffed. ty for watching!

in pve depending on your skill rotation it can be very good! valk is good at harder spots where mobs die slower. places like gahaz / sausan / bashims its not so good. too much moving. ty for watching! ^^
Not many valks to learn from on BDO SEA or BDO in general so I have been pretty much freelancing it since I started playing. Watching this video really helped a lot in understanding the class even more and I learned a bunch of new combos. Thank you very much for this and I hope to see more! :D
Kaladin Stormblessed personally i take it to min/max damage but i dont believe it adds more distance i need to double check! just be sure to have ultimate ^•^
