Note: if you do get to Catarina fight, before she dies, consume a Kalandras Craft prophecy, which will result in Catarina dropping copies of whatever rares she drops. It'll greatly increase the chance of getting the veil.

There's actually an easier way to get the AS and DoT multi bow. First, get ilvl 82 Thicket Bow. Alt spam until you get either AS or DoT multi and then augment for a random prefix that doesn't matter, then regal and pray that you get the the other suffix that you don't have (DoT if you have AS and vice versa). Then, craft suffixes can't be changed and scour. Next, craft Cannot Roll Attack Mods and exalt slam. It is a 100% chance to get +1 to socketed gems. Next, craft multimod and then slap on +2 to support gems and chaos DoT multi and celebrate your ridiculous bow. Whether or not this is any cheaper than your method is a toss up, but it at least guarantees you have the AS mod. This method usually costs me around 15 ex depending on the league so take that as you will. Looks like these bows currently are selling for 25-50 ex so could be worth

Very useful, I'm doing my bow which is a higher lvl base, but with +1 socketed gems and +2 arrows. Currently at 20+ imprints, not losing hope yet

So if you want a "cheaper" +3 bow you can ignore either attack speed or dot multi.. so you would alteration spam for 1 of those mods, at league start i go with attack speed since its about 4 times more common than dot multi, when you hit attack speed, you have 3 options, regal right away, which gives you around a 40% chance to save 2 ex by hitting another suffix, then craft cannot roll attack mods, exalt slam and multimod, OR augment regal, and clear the prefix. your best bet is if you hit attack speed or dot multi, then you instantly regal and hit a prefix, you dont need to spend 2 ex to remove it, just get a prefix to suffix beast (also gives you around a 1% chance to hit that other suffix lol), i quit the league so idk what they go for but yeah it saves you currency in the long run. ALSO you CAN roll tier 1 attack speed at item level 50 so if youre going for a speedy bow at an early point, porcupine cards short bow is the base for you till you can afford the big boy.

The chaos damage over time multiplier can be obtained from all weapons but the highest chance to get it is actually from Staves and Bows

in my opinion you focus too much on the +1 socketed gems which isn't really important since you can force it later on with "cannot roll attack modifiers" (1ex cost). the best place to start would be by getting the T1 dot multi suffix, then depending on the price of craicic chimerals you make an imprint (at this time the average cost in alts to hit T1 dot multi is higher than the cost of the beast). you work your way towards a rare with no prefixes and 2 suffixes (dot multi and a random one for the cheap version, a good one for the top version, getting a good suffix will of course require a lot more tries). at this point you craft "cannot roll attack modifiers" and use an exalted orb (or lvl3 leo's bench in research). you have all the suffixes blocked so you will get a prefix and the only non attack prefix you can get is +1 all socketed gems. remove craft and multimod.

Serberus has intensively tested and found that a Quill Rain is almost equally good as the high end +3 bow you can craft. The attack speed makes it so insanely strong. And it just costs a few chaos.

If you wait until last to get the +1 socketed gems, you can first craft a temporary "cannot roll attack modifiers" and then exalt slam for a 100% guaranteed chance to get +1 socketed gems.

Cant u just regal instead of aug and do beast split? So u have bow with? +1 or maybe even multiple once?

In 3.13 there are few option that make sense. First the base, either you use +1 implicit synthesis, if you don't use one, you want to fracture one of the side mods and usually you'd want to fracture a T1 damage over time mult or buy one. Then it is about spamming shrieking essences for +2 gems, until you get 1 good suffix and are able to cannot roll attack modifiers slam the +1. Then you clean up. At this point the bow should be +2 bow +1 all(prefix) damage over time mult(suffix) / whatever you chased or something that is harvest craft and easy to remove. Then the spicy part. Go take aislin to put you 2 veiled mods on there until you get your 2 mods, it's fully deterministic. Alternatively you can use fossils to try and get a +2bow +1 +1 dex, if the base is fractured on dot multi, you'll just have to hopefully cleanup the underdesired prefix/suffix and aislin your way into a 6mod bow. Elder bows can have up to 20% inc aoe wich is spicy too on toxic rain.

I thought there were methods of using an essence to upgrade the level for a bow, but maybe I am just remembering that the physical added damage requirement for level is bypassed for using the specific highest level essence for added phys?

So if I get just +1 socket gems and imprint it with craicic chimeral, then keep doing that until I get attack speed and +1, can I then imprint the one I get with +1 and attack speed, or is the imprint not copyable?

I've turned in 3 sets of the porcupine this league. All from stacked decks from running mass deception contracts haha.

And now we need a guide to get: +1 socketed, +2 support, +1 dex gems, +1 str gems, AS, chaos dmg over time multi bow :-)

I feel like you should have included the fact that u can craft can't roll attack and slam for +1 (or cheaper beast craft). For my TR characters I usually 1. Roll for t1 or t2 dmg over time multi 2. Try to get the bow to a state where it has 1 prefix and two suffixes (one of the suffixes being the dot) 3. Craft can't roll attack, slam. 4. Now u can multi mod

Or, buy Quill Rain and call it a day. Quill Rain is nearly equivalent to perfectly crafted bows for TR builds. Pods don't do as much damage, but you're putting down more than double the amount of them, which ramps the damage just as high.

You can easily obtain the Craft +2 supports By killing catarina on item lvl over 80 and activating the prophecy kalandras craft. This makes ist so catarina drops 4 instead of 1 item With her veiled mod

I just make a +3 bows much easier (without AS and DoT) using fossils, is still good cause you have the most important stats (+3) and it cost me like 48 chaos

Is it a big difference between +1 socket and +1 bow gems? I just started playing the game this league... I barely managed to buy the 82 thicket bow with bad stats, scoured it and got 34% DoT in 20 alterations, after that I got +1 bow gems and +19 dexterity. I am completely broke so I will use it like that for the time being. Are those stats worth keeping and using 4 ex to mod it later on?

My advice add this to your filter loot at the start of the file: Show ItemLevel = 82 Rarity = Normal BaseType "Thicket Bow" "Crude Bow" SetBackgroundColor 88 22 7 SetBorderColor 175 80 37 19

the thing about the empty prefix is unnecessary: "xxx's veiled" are always prefixes and "of xxx's veil" are always suffixes. you won't ever find a rare with catarina's veil and no space for prefixes since the veiled prefix will turn into a crafted prefix. the same applies when you try to unveil chaos damage over time multiplier since the veiled mod itself is a prefix (veiled = prefix, of the veil = suffix), using bows is a good idea because the veiled prefixes they can have are fewer than other bases making it more likely, also the mod doesn't spawn naturally so it's another thing you don't need to pay attention to.

Did you really hit the tier 1 damage over time multi and +1 to socketed gems just by using alteration orbs? according to poe.db there's roughly 1 in 55.6 chance of hitting the prefix, and a 1 in 255.5 chance of hitting the suffix, so getting them together is a 1 in 14,206 odds. 14,206 alteration orbs is worth about 43 exalts. Since people are selling this bow for way less than that, I gotta think that this is not actually the best way.

Playing your TR build now. Pretty nice so far into yellow maps, but even without any of the DOT modifiers on your rare items, using Silverbough, your PoB still shows like 3mill damage. My build does 300K and i dont understand where you get the extra damage from. Currently level 89, no clusters following your 90 Endgame passive tree.

not that updated but if your going for the version showed in the video you go for +1 into 2 suf into multi mod if you go for the double dmg over time multi version you go for MULTI first 2 suf then you craft cannot roll atk mod SLAM exalt for garanteed +1 remove the craft multi mod on top and it done way cheaper and more reliable and you can beast craft to speedup the process

eyyyyyyy help on some really fun toxic rain bow help thanks man! i worked hard last league in heist to farm my own crafts and exalts for the ed/c spellbow in sc trade and was so happy. but now im playing TR mines os nnow i want ot really dive deep into making it amazing LULULULUL. preaty solid guide and happy to have it ofr reference later. i think for my broke ass self who will be suffering in t12-14s for a very long time im going to do the mid way jump. grab a nice lil 2 exalts or less bow from sc trade market thats ok with +1 gem +2 bow gems and 40% chaos dot multi craft~ maybe few extras or harvest craft it as i go. could always upgrade it more later on with multimod if i play my cards right. only reason for this is because i need ot save money. but after everything else in the build is sert and its working well i might evne push for a super hard self cast TR bow like the giga craft esp here and consider swappnig from mines to attacks. just hard for that juicey AS on trickster so idk. if i ever get alot of money i want ot meme around super super hard on a giga onslaught pushing toxic rain self cast raider using triggered debuffs and such with the asenaths chant strat AND the maloney quiver combo for some clear and FRENZY so that i can drop raiders frenzy node, go full ele ailment immunity and still push hard on max frenzy charges~ would be a ton of fun but man im going to need 20ex+ to push that monstrosity so time will tell hahahahaha. CHEERS!

Stop recommending porcupines as fast farming, unless you do a vid onto itself. The card is notoriously hard to drop, make a special guide only for that if you wish. Or recommend the obvious alternative of 6 link imperial cards, that have a greater chance to be farmed in ssf.

I just used 10 Alts and got 1+ socketed gems and 17% attackspeed ... And im not even streaming... wtf....

So this isn’t a guide for any1 league start as just having 600 fusing is way off any1 1st getting to lv 70-80 in a league if there is a way pls enlighten me

This is a really bad way to craft this bow (high end version). You should not be rolling for +1 gems, you can force that onto the bow with cannot roll attack mods and an ex slam. If you alteration regal spam for dot multi and attack speed u can make the high end bow for ~11ex

For the same price u have a non-corrupted non-crafted +3skill 1.75as 6L that u can annul to perfection. This is just a SSF tips that absolutely not apply to the reality of trade league, simply because if you could just craft the best bow for 4ex why would you sell a random item for more.

I remember many years ago, when ppl who are actually good at a game and know what they are doing would make content. Nowday it seems every pleb is making content on youtube or twitch. I just watched 2 Vids of you because my youtube was recommending you to me and all I can think of after finishing the 2 Vids is "why is this guy making videos about PoE, he has no clue what he is doing". I've been playing PoE for over 7 years and also playing TR for multiple season now and all the advice I got from your 2 Vids was bad advice. You said things that are just wrong, you did not say important things for example with rogue gear (watched that Video too), your bow and your bow crafting method is bad (with bad I mean there are alot better bows and there are better crafting methods) and on top of that, your chars overall gear + rogue gear was/is really bad. Again this is no hate and nothing personal, I could not care less about you, in fact I did not even know you before today. I just simply dont get it, why would you make a already noobish community even more noobish by giving them bad advice in how to play the game. Or why would somebody create content and guides and give out advice to new players while he has not even mastered the game himself? Maybe I'm just getting to old for this world but I really dont get it
