Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate this type of feedback! I'm still trying to find a good balance sound-wise and content pacing. Most of the times I plan the guides to be a bit lighter, but as I go about putting them together I remember some new bits and pieces of info that might be useful, so I add those in as well and end up condensing things a bit. But really, I love receiving this kind of feedback as it helps me identify aspects that can be improved 👍

I am quite sure, and it's pretty easy to test and verify: grab a hybrid body armour, so it's easier to roll different colors and a large number of sockets, and keep using jeweller's orb on it. Let's say you hit 4 sockets and it's something like R R G B, if you keep going and you hit 4 sockets again and it's anything else but that R R G B, and in that particular order, it means it is indeed random. What you've probably noticed was using a small sample on non-hybrid items. In that case it is more likely to see the same color of socket over and over again and it would appear like it's a preset. The same goes for links: you will not get the same linked (or unlinked) sockets over and over again. There is one exception however: the crafting bench recipes for # of sockets work slightly different, and those are actually used in more advanced crafting methods for obtaining a large number of off-colored sockets (e.g. 5 blue sockets on a STR body armour).

This was changed recently and items will now always show detailed/advanced info when holding Alt and hovering the mouse cursor over them 👍

I'll assume you're referring to my stash tab where I have all the currency items (like chromatic orbs or jeweller's orbs) - that is a currency stash tab which can be purchased from the MTX store.

Before doing any other crafting, increase the base quality to 20% and then you can use perfect fossils to roll quality until you hit 29-30%. After that scour and you'll end up with a 29-30% base.

Those are indeed various paid stash tabs: www.pathofexile.com/shop/category/stash-tabs While you can totally play without them, they do help a lot with organizing and sorting through stuff, so if you ever plan on supporting the game this way, I can definitely recommend buying some stash tabs. I think at least once a month there's a stash tab sale with decent discounts so it might be worth waiting for that
