I got above 90k followers within two months but not with these techniques, for some reason it seems that all the RU-vidrs keep the "real" things to themselves. I understood that after reading an ebook.
@@stevekannan6076 For example, Mom\Child method. You have your main account which is the one you are looking to grow and tons of "ChiIds" with some content\posts of the main. These childs will do actions (Such as follow etc) to targeted accounts (An accounts that would be interested in your niche, for example followers of your competitors. That way they bring lots of traffic and exposure to the main account without any risk of being shadowbanned\limit etc.
Instagram's algorithm has changed from "being there to bring people together" into "being there to isolate people". You literally have to fight against the algorithm in order to reach people. The new algorithm is designed to put you down and get you to spend more and more time on the platform trying to grow. Appreciate the tips but using social media should not be this stressful. Its supposed to be fun. I think I might give up the gram soon.
@@oven5146 I feel this! As an illustrator myself, it's becoming increasingly exhausting trying to keep up. I don't want to spend hours creating content that is "digested" in mere seconds, I'd rather work on my paintings in that time. Social media is becoming a chore.
I hate reels so much. There is a reason I'm not on TikTok and I hate how IG feels more and more like a knock-off version of that crap. Plus, posting multiple times a week is impossible for many artists.
@@littledarlingwendy yeah. I know IG can be toxic in the way beauty standards and life styles are presented. But since I almost only follow art accounts it was always a quiet nook in the internet where I could just scroll through artwork, enjoy and get inspired. Now it's only fast-paced reels that either show no result (since artists have to post so often) or show it for only a split second. I actually like progress photos or videos, but they used to be an extra to the finished piece you could swipe to if you want. It feels all too hectic
Tips are ok, but this DOES NOT work for creative artists and designers. We are way too busy making high quality work than posting 10 times a week, getting the "right angle" for a "like". Instagram has turned into an "entertainment app" for clicks, rather than being creative, bonding with new friends, family, photos, etc. Its lost that workshop feel.
Yep… it used to be a cool photo app, and now it’s trying to beat TikTok and RU-vid and is definitely not succeeding… it makes people rush to keep posting and people get burned out and tired from that
I find the time required to jump through IG’s hoops with more posts, reels more frequently might work for people who can mass produce their work like yourself. But for handmade arts & crafts and those that do renovations etc don’t have the luxury of time. Our creative endeavours take up so much time. I know for myself I spend as much if not more time making reels and editing photos with engaging captions than I do making my stuffies. I’m considering other platforms.
100% agree. I’m an artist as well and even posting 2 times a week is hard for me. Insta wants us to treat our creative work like a mass producible good and that’s just simply impossible when you also have a life out of social media :/
Seems like Instagram is changing so often and it's going to frustrate people. Not because they don't want to post but because they don't understand what they should be posting unless they are constantly keeping up with the trends and changes.
I am part of the artist community and my friend can sometimes not post for months and then do one post and get 5-10k followers. It's because her work is just outstanding so there are definitely exceptions lol
i think it has to do with individual interactions. I am less likely to comment and actively engage with an artist who posts every day, generic or similar drawings, but if the artist pulls out a masterpiece once a week i will coment and engage twice as much. It depends on which insta inner circle/community youre in at the end of the day
that´s pretty random. Because you can upload super high quality stuff and what happens if it does not get to the people?. If that day the algorithm is against you?
Yes I definitely see this aswell in the artist and creative community. I think people really forget that it's important to show something good. I've tried posting daily but noticed my content quality was getting worse and I didn't like the look of my feed at all. I think how your feed looks is very important for an artist. Now I try to post only quality posts as much as I can. Also... I rather engage with my existing followers and new followers who are actually interested in what I do than have a lot of likes from people who are just passing by. As an artist I think you've got to ask yourself what it's really about. Do you want to grow, no matter what, just for the sake of growing or do you want to grow a community that is actually interested in your art.
Simply put ...Instagram is a full-time job currently, not the recreational social media App you knew...too complicated to be fun. Just use WhatsApp status
I mean this is clearly directed at business accounts and influencers, not people that post for fun with their friends. If your friends need algorithm optimised content to engage with you you need different friends lol
This is again one of these videos saying "become a workerholic for your hobby". If this goes on, who can blame people for leaving these "social" media sites? Instead of saying "post the best photo of your week so that your followers get constant inspiration of very good photos" it is saying "just crank out everything you got for the algorithm". I mean, thanks for the info, but for most hobby posters, this is just leading into some kind of burnout, leading people to connect photography or videography with stress instead of joy.
My frustration now with reels using trending music ; the reach has reduced because everyone's now using this feature to grow. I used to have thousands of views with reels but my recent post only reached 6 people and the other recent ones reached a few hundreds . Frustrating
Thanks for sharing your experience with trending audios! Personally, we haven’t seen this pattern for our account, and find trending audios still help. At the same time, we diversify our content with original content as well. If I were you, I would look at past content that performed well and try to replicate those pieces to see if there’s a big difference.
I agree with Lizzy. Using the trending audios is no longer getting exposure as before. I think I remember reading or watching a reel where they said they are now prioritizing original content. I notice using original sounds like voiceover gets better reaches than I get when I use a trending audio. That’s just me experience
@@delmyvillanueva7669 True! Instagram did announce that they now prioritize original content. Recently I've posted a reel with my own music + voice over, it had the highest views. I'm going to try to replicate that and see if it works again.
Hi Vanessa💕 I was doing my research on Instagram growth tips yesterday and I found your video. I watched it while taking some notes. After watching it, I quickly went to my Instagram and posted a reel using a template, short caption and no unnecessary hashtags, like you suggested since my video and caption already had the important key words. It currently has 1.2k views 😍 My business page is still really small (192 followers only) and prior to following your tips, my reels were getting stuck around 100 views. thank you so much I'll keep applying your tips 🥰
Appreciate the tips! However I do find posting long informative captions on reels really works for me, when people do read it, the watch time goes up significantly. Especially when it takes longer to read the caption than watch the reel x

Posting manually or times takes exactly the same amount of time. I hear so many don’ts that are outdated and so many do’s that are very time consuming that I wonder if Instagram is still even valuable for small time artists like me. Instagram still has no clue what my niche is, after years of consistently posting the same content it still exposes my posts to the wrong people. Instagram is changing algorithm so often that it’s crazy to keep up with it. Instagram has no clue what it wants to be and that’s the real issue. It should have stayed a photo app, that worked well. Now, it’s just not working for most anymore.

I strongly disagree with hashtags being irrelevant. I can still get double or the reach or an otherwise significant boost on posts from hashtags, and hashtags are one of the only ways users can control their reach. I also still prefer hashtags when I search. I don't know how other people use the search/hashtags, but for travel, the hashtags are far superior.
Hello! What I meant on my video is that hashtags are not as important as it used to be but I didn't mention that it's irrelevant. Someone can still use it to help Instagram categorize their content. @@LuxeFilmography It is probably Reels that don't need hashtags. I post pictures, and I can get significantly more traction from hashtags than just posting into the abyss.
I heard doing stories everyday and then posting once or twice a week... I've been posting once a week or so and am slowing seeing results. If I try to post more than that, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference (whereas it made a HUGE difference in 2018 and before- so important to post once a day back then!!). I also rarely do reels though, so I need to make more of those
The niche I am in, reels don’t gather as much engagement as it used it (at least for my accounts) and I am growing by only posting single feed posts - got 100K in less than a year.

I don't believe that posts that grow your followers count necessarily lead to more sales. It depends where people are and how relevant you are to them to solving their problems and the relationship you've created with them.
Yes! I think there's definitely a difference in strategy here. Just constantly trying to grow your following in the hopes that enough people will result in a sale... or really engaging with a certain target audience so they'll want to buy from you because they know you and your product.
my bottomline here is: by looking at my own insights, reels is the only way you can gain maximum views these days on Instagram. Reels is the only thing you should be posting.

Ok you are freakin phenomenal. I know in the Asian culture how tough parents can be on their kids to succeed well your parents have to be super proud of you. I mean holy smokes your info is so stellar and on point. You rock!
I’m not a content creator but coming from my perspective this feels stupid, it seems as though if you want to grow your account you have to follow all these silly rules and basically lose your own creative freedom of how you actually want things to look. Also as a “viewer” I personally don’t like reels. I just want to silently scroll through the gram and see what my friends and favourite creators are up too without music playing every 2 seconds. It puts me in a bad mood going on Instagram these days hahaha
Main points mentioned at this video: 1. Increase your posting frequency up to five times a week, Monday to Friday. Once a day minimum. 2. Stop quote posts. Make a reel with a quote instead to reach more non-followers and fuel growth. 3. Stop writing long captions, especially for Instagram reels.
I’m saying this bcuz reels it not a search engine and more of a mood engine. Some days you can be in the mood for comedy and other days you can be demotivated and need to see some motivation reels. 🤷🏽♂️ I feel like everyone is not seeing this and that’s how I plan to execute my game plan by being diverse

@@jeangracekifwabala6470 If you can't post reels everyday, you can find the days that works best for you and your page (I recommend 2 or 3 days a week), and consistently post on those days. You can post short stories on the days without reels.
I've been real hesitant posting a [still] picture as a reel (I'm a photographer not wanting to do videos) because I fear it will annoy the audience, especially if I don't post audio. Lol. After your comment I may just try and see what happens.
hmmm...not sure about that first tip...I've noticed the more I post, the lower my engagement gets for all types of posts, stories, grid and reels. Recently went on a trip and have been posting to stories and my engagement when from 100 views in the beginning to about 30 by the end...ridiculous! it feels like the less I use the app, the more reach I get on my account which makes no sense as you'd think the app would want you to use it!
engagement goes down but reach and growth goes up. thats what we have found when you do a volume play. depends on what you value. likes + comments or actual growth and visibility for the acc as a whole (not the individual post)

There are some really good ideas in here. Some I really need to try. But there is a huge problem right now with types of accounts being crushed. I am professional photographer and have seen a MASSIVE dip over the last few months. I produce content my fans like.........but IG does not like it. This seems to have effected many many people. I feel like if IG doesn't loosen up people will start leaving.
1) what do you do if your caption is long and there isn't room to add the hashtags in the caption? Long captions work for the content I do so it's hard to shorten.... 2) Any suggestions for when you turn captions on for reels but they don't still don't show up? IG glitch?
The 1st thing I need to outsource are graphic design and editing. It takes up so much time. Especially creative time where I am taking way too much time editing right down to the pixel/second. That creative juice could be used somewhere else

Question: how do I use Instagram for my real estate investment business to generate leads? My intentions are to hire my children as models on payroll. As an active user of instagram I want to say that I don’t follow people who post 5 times a week and oftener…who literally is bombing with their reels ans stories🤦♀️ As people said above I prefer quality over quantity and let it be 1-2 times a week!
Same! I get really tired of seeing people that post more than 3 times a week let alone once a day. Especially since instagram only shows my posts to the same 100 of my followers anyway. Bless their souls.

Great advice but I have one question 🙋🏽♂️ Do you think Instagram wants creators to be more diverse? I see other creators complaining that their content don’t get as much views since they started the bonus program. Do you think it’s bcuz they niched their content that it limits the full potential to reach more users via reels?
