You can't make a great content using a Redmi Note 10 Pro like I'm using right now. The only way to start RU-vid from scratch is to have an iPhone. Any iPhone will definitely do.
Got the scripting for success template, been watching and taking notes of every single one of Vanessa's videos. One of my latest videos had over 50% audience retention halfway, and 40% at the end!! I obviously did a lot of behind the scenes work but the template is like 15 hours of research in one. I'm kinda emotional because I've been really dedicated to growing my RU-vid channel and this was genuinely worth it. This is not a promo or anything - If anyone reading this is doubting if the scripting template is any good, yes yes yes it is!
I completely agree. This is the 2nd video I've watched of hers and it's got me really thinking and excited to get my channel organized so I can start growing it on a faster level.
One more tip: notice how much b-roll, text, pictures, and sound effects went into this video to make it more engaging. Then go to edit your videos and make them *more engaging!* said with love :) (something I recently learned)
I typically never comment about looks of a person, but holy! you're glowing ! you look fantastic, this is probably the best hair color/makeup/skin match i've ever seen !
So glad I found you, and your channel! This is some of the most thought out and transparent information I have seen on RU-vid! You deserve all the success you have achieved and some! This was super helpful for me and just makes a person want to support what you're doing even more. I need to simplify my video making process as I don't like to make videos where I talk to the camera. So I do a lot of shooting and voice over. I need to simplify my process so I can create more content!!! 😩I love how organized you are. Your channel is amazing, thank you Vanessa. - 🌳
Unless you're a naturally fantastic speaker (and I am most certainly not) filming your video in chunks instead of one long video is such a great timesaver!

OMG Thank you so much for this! I've been so overwhelmed with editing my youtube videos that I just completely gave up but have so much footage. This really pushed me to find a video editor to help take the load off. Also love the tip about recording in shorter clips!
Desperately need to follow these tips! I have only just started and still learning so much as I go. I do feel like I’m getting better after every video I produce
Awesome! your potential seems limitless. I'm fascinated with investing but being a single mother and juggling all these things are quite difficult. how best can I start and what sector to engage in?
@Bryan Thanks for sharing, just looked up on google and I'm super impressed with her credentials. I dropped a massage on her webpage and hope she replies soon.
Am not good doing it alone but getting into the market has been my best decision so far in my road to financial independence as it turns out to be lucrative for me and Personally I have multiple streams so I just enable the use of an investment advisor to navigate and secure the returns
Woah, Though this is the first time i would be reading comments about my financial advisor Ms. Melisa on RU-vid comments and it is quite a memorable insight.
Vanessa, I’ve been watching you for years and your content is literally the best in the game. Your different POV to all thing content creation and business is so eye opening. I couldn’t even think of any criticism if I tried. You are always so on point! Also SO much respect for how you changed your mindset to taking a lower paying job but felt richer since you gave yourself time and flexibility to start your business.
This is absolutely insightful. I never did a lot of the things you mentioned, that why I struggle to find my routine with content creation. Thanks for the video, I still can't believe this is free information. ❤
I've been filming in sections for a while now. Thank your that tip! Combing through 15 Minutes of footage sucked and now I am more inclined to film and edit immediatley.
Great video! I am Super obsessed with WORK FLOW! (The processes through which a piece of work moves from start to finish). When we define HOW a piece of work is completed, accountability is established.
RODE mics are great - but you may want to use some dampening material around when you record. It will reduce the *hollow / echo* sound and give your voice a *richer* tone.
I'm a new RU-vidr and I find this really helpful. I struggled with the flow but I wasn't scared because I've been posting videos on Instagram and TikTok for a while. It's fun for me and I can't wait to see what comes out of this new phase
I think it would be helpful to say if you’re not monetized, you will not see the Community tab. You’ve elaborated a lot on that but someone like me who is currently not monetized yet can’t see that. Thank you for the other tips.

This was SO HELPFUL Vanessa. I picked up a few tricks instantly and will implement some others next time I’m filming. Thanks!!
This is the best video so far. Thank you. I find difficulties talking consistently in English, english is my third language, so even though I can talk, but sometimes I have problems to pronounce words. I hope with time I will improve my english.
Awesome tips. Totally agree that creating more videos help you get better. However, it is important as well to analyze your content and identify areas that needs improvement.
Love it. I watch those I am inspired by, bullet points, and anything I mention e.g. like RU-vid Buddy if I learned from someone else - I credit + mention them, I use ClickUp, shift order to tie to launches etc + often adjust, yes to filming days - I usually do Wed/Thurs, and yes to blocks on the calendar!, same I order the outline before + set intention!, As always thanks for the tips!!!
The tip about recording different sections I learned pretty fast by myself. it's not easy to make a full vid in one take. It's also a good way to perfect each section better. My longest video is now 1:29 so I'm progressing slowly towards my 5 minutes goal in September. As a musician I wonder is it possible to upload like 21 tracks of an album and then make the whole album into a playlist on RU-vid? I like the seriousness on your channel.
Really useful information Sister... actually no one explained like this in detail... really learned a lot from this content. Hope it will help me to grow my channel. Thanks again.
Wow posting it as unlisted before scheduling so You can do a pinned comments was epic advice. I just schedule the videos right away so i cant do pinned comments and then i have to remember to do the pinned comments When it uploads. Your advice is soo much better ☺️
This is yet another great and helpful video. I so many questions! 1. When you have your team schedule your YT videos what does that look like? Do you give them your log in info or is there a way to set up a team login kind of thing? Also, how much should hiring a videographer look like? I recently got a quote from a company that does all the editing, repurposing for socials, and scheduling everything and it was around 5k a month. 😱 Lastly, in your Bossgram Academy, is there an element of coaching with you live? Even if it's group coaching?
Hey Vanessa, I use a ZV1 as well and I have a dummy battery so I never run out of juice. I know you like mobility while filming, but consider having a wired dummy battery for the portions when you’re stationary. Cheers!
thanks vanessa for the tips on how to optimize your youtube content as well how to pre plan content! really feel like this will help me with my own video planning process!
I started at the beginning of 2022 and I stopped because I was facing some hard times, but I am planning to grow my channel before 2022 ends, wish me luck ❤🔥🔥
Hi Vanessa, I am binging your videos and it’s giving me inspiration to start my own channel. I have a question. You talk about finding your target audience. Can you have 2 target audiences or should you stick to one? I’m a newly graduated nurse who started 2 businesses out of school. One, an IV hydration business and a health coach. 1 target audience could be nurses who want to become entrepreneurs or 2 I coach female entrepreneurs who want to lose weight. Can I try to do both or stick to one? Should I have 2 different accounts?
How to do write scripts so good, could you please make a video on it. Like you have very good mental clarity on things you are talking. I also want to learn that please teach me the workflow for that also. You are best. Your Amazing angle 😇
My only issue with upwork and similar sites is that they often pay very very small amounts and makes it MUCH harder for creators/designers/artists to get paid a liveable wage.
