Hey everyone, I really appreciate all the new eyes on this video, but I do have to say that this video was made BEFORE the Avalon update and is therefore outdated. I'm working on making a new, updated tier list, so in the meantime, subscribe! I will also be making other tier lists, such as items, a character tier list for multiplayer, etc.
Thanks for this!! Just started playing this ! its amazing, hopefully they will add more multiplayer control over the lobby, like regions to chose. ive played with some pretty laggy people these past few days.
Interesting, I've actually had the most issues when playing with my friends, who live in the same city as me 😅 but this most recent update fixed that. I do shell out a lot for internet, tho, so that could be why I have a generally better experience. It should improve, tho. Thanks for the comment and good luck in your runs!
About Geppetto. He is difficult, yes, his mechanic is very specific. But I play really much with him, and I beat everything down with my dummies, even on Nightmare difficulty. He needs a lot of skill to be strong, that's all
@@SyphroPlays hehe, as I say, practice, practice and practice. Or, as Geppetto says, even a triangle can be made to roll. Who said that you need them to live for long? You place a dummy, use power and wait, trait and power have same cooldown. If dummy dies, it's fine, you still have an infinite amount of them. If not, he just deals some passive damage. Your main weapon is power. Yes, there is a bonk build, where you make their attack very strong, but usually only power deals really much damage
I play multiplayer most, and Gepetto is insane at reanimate your mates, and is most of the time the charachter who delt the more damages over time. I just miss something to jump a frame or two over the attacks, not to die against the boss 2 and 3 in nightmare
I'm a fan of Scarlet, but it feels like 50% of the time (werewolf form) she's broken, then in human form she just feels very underwhelming unless you get lucky with her build. I think Wukong has a lot of potential, he's definitely my highest win rate.
I think if we're just talking about power and consistency, they did a great job at balancing My own list would probably be: B: Aladdin (needs tornado jump/dive or a power talent to get to the same level as others) A: Piper (if he gets chorus he's S tier) S: Gepetto, Snow Queen, Scarlet, Melusine, Beowulf, Wukong (this is ordered "weakest" to strongest but all top tiers imo)
That's definitely fair, I do think a lot of the characters CAN be strong. And tbh, they can all have stinkers (see the good/bad Beowulf video for a perfect example of that)
nice, I think Gepetto is weak in hardest level. a lot skill need more scarecrow. but always beoken fast. Piper have no damege special and defense skill start. weak early.
Yeah early with Pied Piper is rough, but he is really fun, in my opinion. I do remember liking Geppetto a lot more in the lower difficulties, too, though.
Just dropping a comment to let you know (as someone who hasn’t played the game) this was a very informative video and I just subbed your channel so I can be on this journey with you - keep it up my guy!
It's definitely true, I just think his parry is kind of janky and unreliable. Trying to parry something only for the enemy to miss you and then you're screwed, for example. But I could see him being S tier for some people who are more used to his play style.
I haven't had a chance to play the Avalon update yet, but I'm excited to try it! My favorite characters to play on the hardest difficulty goes: Melusine, Beowulf, Scarlet, Geppetto. (in order) I've got about 150 hours into this game and the times when I reliably beat Nightmare in 3-4 player parties is when everyone understands that avoiding damage is the higher priority and protecting feathers over taking risks on difficult nodes too early. My favorite build with Melusine is going Spring Water and building around special with Backwash and Water Communion. Then taking Wisp Ballet (2nd ult) and hopefully receiving Waterlogging and Submerging Attack. Both apply to Wisp Ballet (at least prior to the Avalon update). I think one of the lessons I've learned is when to get my damage in. On Nightmare difficulty, the 2nd boss can catch her during animations (bosses are faster and stronger) so I switch to waiting for the boss to attack first then counter. Happy Hunting everyone!
I found love with Scarlet human form. I thought it was weak until I got used to her defense which is pretty sick. It made her so much better once I learned and then the ability Double Strike makes everything so much better.
I did an Aladdin carry run where i got Hope Diamond early on and didnt die. The extent to which he can power up allies with that much income is insane, especially when you realize HD doubles the shards he gets from wishing too. He's also phenomenal with HD because he can spend his shards in the field, minimizing what you might otherwise lose to bad luck, mistakes or lag.
Yeah, Hope Diamond is OP as hell. I do plan on making a multiplayer specific tier list, so keep an eye for that ;) Aladdin is pretty high on that one for me
