I disagree with the complaints that say it's too clean and upbeat for Rogueport, it's split in half like the original song where the start represents the grand treasure hunt and the part that starts at 0:37 acknowledges that the town has a darker side to it. If anything this version emphasizes the difference more
A trumpet? Odd choice, but catchy. I was shaking back and forth to the melody involuntarily when I was first hearing it. Took me a few seconds to realize I was doing it lol
I like this so far but it does seem a little "too loud" for my taste. I feel like that trumpet will annoy me after repeated listenings to it. Im happy there seems to be a toggle to switch to the OG music. Edit: After repeating this a few times i think its starting to grow on me lol
that’s why the part of the song that represents it being a crook paradise represents it being a crook paradise the song has always been structured with a part with a grand sense of adventure and a shady crook town
@@bluerious5475 yeah but idk, it feels way too grandiose in this one, I guess i'm just not used to the new instruments. (same with the way it look in-game). I think i wouldn't mind it as much if the song changed after each crystal star kind of like Origami King to show your impact on the town as you progress and this was the "final" version after you got all of the crystal stars.
Imo way too overproduced and upbeat for a theme about a grimy, shady port town with a noose hanging in its plaza. Much prefer the original. I feel like it captures the tone that they were going for much better
Its too much, im gonna use the remake music on my first playthrough but for playthroughs after that ill definitely be using the original music. You just cant beat the synths of the original ost imo
I don't see the problem tbh. I like both. There's a toggle too, so you can just... not use this music if you don't like it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it doesn't work, it just means you don't like it...
