My own interpretation for hydro is that, it requires sacrifice much like justice. Each hydro character sacrifices something within their pursuit of life Barbara sacrifices her individuality to become an idol Ayato sacrifices his childhood to become head of his clan Tartaglia sacrifices his time with his family for the tsaritsa Kokomi sacrifices her desires to become an advisor to lead Watatsumi island Xingqiu sacrifices his own desires for his family's prosperity Yelan sacrifices her reputation in order to protect liuye. Each hydro character willingly loses an aspect of their life for the betterment of others in some way
@guiscardaddams8745
@guiscardaddams8745 Год назад
Actually that makes a lot of sense.. Many other characters did lose something important, like Kazuha losing his entire clan, But... They weren't given that much of a choice? While hydro always had to make the decision themselves. Mainly a change of "individuality". And always in the service of people.

@@guiscardaddams8745 exactly! Each one had to choose between their own desires and what would be better for otger people, funny enough- most of them get their vision after making that selfless choice. Mona sacrifices her well-being or being well off (because we learned she actually does have quite a bit of mora in the 2.8 event) in pursuit of divination or being a better diviner possibly? Cryo is the duality of heart. Every Cryo user goes against to their own hearts and preferences to do the right thing. They are also lack of warmth of love in their lives. Just like Tsaritsa who has no love left in her heart but also seeking for love and peace in this world. They sometimes regret their actions for being selfish while doing the “right thing” but have to freeze their hearts to overcome with sadness. Pyro is the burning passion and never ending ambition. doing whatever makes you happy in this life is more important than others’ opinnion. They are actually more self-centered when it comes to their passions and they don’t accept critisism. Murata lives for fighting although it brings nothing much in the end. Being happy for what you’re doing is the most important for them. Hydro is related to justice most of the time. Finding out the problems of others and helping them out when they are in need while doing it without showing their weaknesess. For Hydro Archon, she is the last judge of everything and she is always right and equal with her judgments. She’s never wrong and spreads justice with excellence, but that’s all in her mind. Anemo is like the wind, they are free with their choices and alone in this world when it comes to their ideals. The dead friend joke is actually makes sense because they all receive their visions after losing someone who shared the same ideal with them. Venti had his bard friend who started to war in Mondstadt but died afterwards. Continuing the bard’s ambition granted Venti the power of Anemo and made him the Anemo Archon. At the end, this ideal they have is not belong to the Anemo user but to the person who they loved and cherished the most. They are the carrier of “others’ dreams.” Geo is assocciated with order and rules. It represents the mountain like ambition and straightforwardness. They are following their heart and do whatever they find right. Zhongli sluttered all these Gods during the Archon War to protect his people. He is also aware of that actions are not right, but at the end he did what he believed to be done. His desire to protect his own people and not giving up on his ideals is the core of Geo Vision. Electro represents stubbornnesss. Not giving up on your ideals even if no one agreed with you, or even the holder knows it is not the best option. They are selfish but people’s opinnion are important for them. Not because they actually respect them, but they see an opposite opinnion as a threat. Changing others to preserve your opinnion for an eternity. Ei didn’t want to lose anyone else and forced Inazuma to stay as it is. She knew what happened outside of Plane of Euthimia and her actions were not the best. But she refused to take actions because she wanted to protect what she loved/desired the most. Her goal was more important than anything else. Dendro is still tricky. Since it represents the God of Wisdom, people thought it should be related to seeking never ending wisdom. But at the same time, Dendro might represent selflessness. Putting others before you. Helping other before yourself but at the same time not being too reckless. They are smart and wise. Their judgments are more objective, but when the time comes, they might give up on themselves as the last option. Edit: After checking some dendro vision stories and knowing the Greater Lord’s story, it seems like Dendro is related to a sacrifice indeed. And after that finding peace, a sense of accomplishment. Being content about someone’s decision even if it puts you in a difficult position. Unlike hydro, they are calculative and try to find the best solution. Hydro users tend to jump into the conclusion without a further calculation and make great sacrifices (Focalor did calculate the future but she didn’t try to find another solution or gave up but it’s also important to analyze Furina’s actions too since she was considered as the Hydro Archon. So maybe visions were garnted to those who were similat to Furina, not Focalor). Dendro users, just like Nahida, first observe, then calculate and find the possible solutions after testing them. So they are think more sciencificly.

It felt like visions are not given based on overall personality, but instead there’sa scale of selfishness and selflessness. Depending on how much you priorise others or yourself, your vision will change. While Pyro and Electro are on the selfish edge, Hydro is on selfless edge, following by Anemo. Dendro is right in the middle while Geo is close to middle on selfish side and Cryo middle on selfless side.

This actually fits well for what I’ve been thinking about visions for quite sometime now. And in fact, puts some perspective on another thing as well. Maybe not important, but I’m gonna rant XP. I made a character that was going to have two visions, there’s backstory to explain but not now, the vision he had back when was a pyro one. Then, things change and his “passion” was taken from him. (His lover.) After some time, he desired to gain his love back. You’d think this would be a new passion or ignite the old one (which maybe it should but I’m not going to), but I instead had it be a new vision granted to him to pursue this endeavor. I made in a Dendro one cause I wanted a Dendro OC, but thinking on it again (and I was considering it before) but electro makes more sense. (Since I still want the dual vision thing for this character) That’s the end of my rant, just thought I’d share XP

I always thought that Geo actually could just be characters that pursue their ambition methodically, cuz then it applies Itto and Noelle. Itto founded a gang of his own because he lives his own life in his own way, and he doesn't bend to other people telling him that he should get jobs, back off, stop causing a ruckus etc. Noelle continues to work in her own way to become a proper Knight of Favonius in her eyes (as seen in her hangout, all of her training was pretty much her idea) even when others around her already see her as an amazing maid. And coincidentally, this also kinda gives a reason why Noelle didn't get an Anemo vision that she wanted. Since she is also willing to accept advice and help from others to pursue her ambition, she didn't share Anemo's self-made, isolating way of achieving her ambition. All the Geo characters are also usually in the midst of doing their own thing consistently and a vision happens to be granted to them.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming Год назад
Yeah, we're more or less saying the same thing but calling it in different ways. About Itto, I see him more the way I did, someone who started achieving his own personal goal by creating the Arataki Gang, because in his vision story they highlighted the fact that he received it once his life became a little bit more stable and the fact that his life has been marked by both the story of the red and blue Oni (so he wants to honor the blue oni's sacrifice for them) and the fact that his entire family was driven away because people instantly thought that the thieves in that town were them just because they're oni so "once an oni, always an oni". Itto basically represents the endless, personal, individual fight against bullies and discrimination. A fight that will bring him the benefit of being recognized as a normal person (as the Arataki Gang see him) but also a fight that will probably never end. Same for Noelle. She's so dead set on becoming a knight that, even when she'll be able to become one, she won't stop over thinking things and trying to be a better knight even though she's already better than most knights.

Your takes on the visions are extremely interesting, especially the electro one, I've heard a lot of theories about electro being eternity and not normal but they always sound like a strech but with your take, not giving up everything makes so much more sense and fit into place. Your take on anemo is also quite unique, people have joked about how they all lost someone (will lose in Jean's case but it sounds like a strech) or that they represent freedom/legacy. But to think that it's because they persue their goal alone and found peace, oddly enough it is very very fitting, I don't think I've heard that one before
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming Год назад
It's because I based my theory not on the character as a whole but on the moment they received their vision. I thought about this because when Diluc received his vision, he was very different from who he is right now, this means that he met his requirements for a vision when he was a very passionate young man who joined the knights of favonius. That was the peak of his ambition and he was rewarded for it. Then I read each characters' vision story and it made even more sense. I'm glad you found my theories interesting!

Hehe here's my take on visions and their meaning: [Pwease don't take it seriously ehehe nothing personal] Pyro: *Keeps going, following their passion.* You are the kindof person who takes your goals seriously. You make everyone around you know who you are not by status, but by your work. Some of you may be cold outside but there's a warmth within you that only your dearest can see. There's literally a fire within you!! (And you can call urself hawt it's fine 😂) Cryo: *Desire and Elegant Façade* You are a warm soul despite of your element. You probably had a pretty uncomfortable upbringing, in a way that you didn't experience a happy or normal childhood compared to majority. You have secrets, and you're good at hiding them. You have hard time opening up to people. You often feel lonely. Your naive nature easily makes people take advantage of you. But.. you just want to be accepted. Hence you develop a hard exterior or a façade if you may~ to avoid being broken, not to be vulnerable again. You may not have a set path or goals to pursue... But eventho the people who care for you are rare ...you cherish them, and they cherish you despite your differences. (You guys need HUGS!! 🤗) Electro: *Reality is in your hand* Never give up, Loyal to your goals, ambitions and dreams. You are strong, either physically or mentally. Traitors are those who u despise the most. You might seem intimidating at first, but when someone knows you personally, they become your allies. You love your companions and believe in what you like to believe. (And i think electro people would LOVE competitions QwQ) Anemo: *Freedom sworn* You're an Outcast (and you don't mind being called as one), in a way that you like doing things from the sidelines and don't seek popularity or attention. You do what makes u the most happiest and you don't like relying on others for it. You're chilled and go with the flow and you believe in present, not past or future. (I think there's hardly anything anemo vision bearers are scared of ehehe.) Hydro: *Through you, Justice is served.* Knows and does the right thing. Becomes successful in life, as in a professionally, to what you love doing. You are open-minded and tactical when you have to be. You like learning new things. People trust you. You believe in equal exchange, may it be money, life, family, knowlege or freedom... for the goals you want to achieve. Sometimes, hydro vision holders stay far away from their personal needs to pursue their goals. (Take a break, have Snickers, let's chill :D) Geo: *Dedicated Will of a Rock* Will to achieve something regardless of the hardships faced. You have a will so strong that it can forge a path for you, no matter the sacrifices. The knowledge you have in your area of expertise is incredible and respected! Your goals are your priority! (You are the guys i know will always help me out with my homeworks eheheh jk don't kill me-) Dendro: *A Cursed Blessing* Knowlege is both your friend and foe. But above all, Change is what you seek. (Sorry.. for dendro, that's the only logical reasoning i could come up with as there's very few characters to evaluate from^^')

Theory time: Visions are granted based on HOW the characters will be a danger to Celestia. It’s sorta like categorizing the threat types. I had this theory growing when Mona started talking about defying/altering her destiny in the GA archipelago quest. We learn that visions aren’t necessarily ‘gifts’ from the Gods but a way for them to observe the more troublesome mortals during Dainsleif’s quest.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming Год назад
Still, you need a specific reason why a person receives an element rather than another. Like I said in the vision, I didn't talk about what visions are but only the reason a specificelement is given to a specific person. I also believe that Visions are not benevolent gifts from the gods but your theory would clash against the fact that Visions make people allogenes. If granting a vision makes you a potential God that can ascend to heaven, how can visions be granted to check on people who are potential threats against Celestia? Celestia would be giving further powers to people they deem dangerous to them, a contradiction. This allogene concept is already strange on its own since there was an Archon War to reduce the amount of gods, which was probably started by Celestia since most gods just lived their lives peacefully with one another before the war,they weren't fighting over land as we saw with Zhongli and Guizhong who just found a place for them and their people, Havria who didn't even want to fight, other gods who lived as friends like the God of Wisdom and the God of Flower but also simply Makoto and Ei. Also, if every God was killed except for the 7 Archons, you wouldn't have substitutes in case on of them died. If that War was needed to reduce the amount of Gods, why give people tools to make them Gods? There are too many contradicting aspects of visions, that's why I chose to focus on the elements, otherwise the video would have been 40min long

I always thought that Electro could be for those who have confidence, a certain "arrogance" per se. In all the Electros that we know of, they all act the way that they want, despite what others expect from them. And looking at that, I may have an Electro vision. I am very, very conceited lmao.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming Год назад
The problem is that 99% of the time we look at who the characters are now, how they behaved and what they did throughout their lives but we ignore what happened, who they were in the exact moment when they actually received their vision. Confidence and arrogance can be applied to a lot of characters if we consider who they are. If we look at the moment or at the events that led them to receive the visions, we see that they just needed something that would have helped them, especially in that moment, to keep going and not surrender. Razor is actually the best example because he received his vision as he was being dragged away by an abyss mage and his lupical had been defeated. He needed something that could free him from the abyss mage since he was basically helpless, so he received his vision. Same with Fischl. She managed to keep her imaginary life going because her parents supported her. When even they told her to grow up, she didn't have anything to support her dream, nothing that could sustain that life, until Oz and her vision appeared. Thanks to them, she could keep being Fischl and live in her imaginary world because her dream was recognized and even her parents had to accept it (as seen by how they accepted Oz during dinner)
@arcallium
@arcallium Год назад
I can see that they all seem to have a "bending other's will" moment. For Fischl, she refused to let go of her imagination. For Razor, his lupical. This may be reaching, but I think this supports my "arrogance" stance a little. They see the impossibility of their obstacle and refuses to budge. But alas, a theory is still a theory. Though I have to say, your take on it does make use of their vision as a tool to achieve a goal.

Beidou, as it is said in her story, struck Haishan down with Electro and then the Vision appeared. Still, she used the element of the vision to struck Haishan. Which makes me think..... Someday I will make another video about vision, but this time it will be about why people receive Visions and if they already have them from birth but they "materialize" them through their life, or maybe everybody is assigned an element at birth as well as a constellation that decides your overall destiny and, if your ambition grows strong past a certain requirement, a vision materializes....

I have a couple of beliefs that I've been trying to go over in my head and will just put them here for ease of access and for the similar topic. 1. I believe that an Archon's ideals and those who are given visions are directly correlated. But not only the current Archons, but the past ones as well. This helps us make sense of the Anemo element's influence to be something similar to 'giving up one form of freedom for the pursuit of another.' We see this easiest with characters like Venti (who gave up his freedom when becoming an Archon, but gave it up so the people of Mondstadt could be free in their own measure) Jean (she's overworked and definitely isn't free from her job, but that is her choice, taking on the burdens of basically running all of Mondstadt so those in the city can live peacefully) and Xiao (got freedom from Rex Lapis and promptly gave it up again to serve Liyue as a Yaksha in thanks for Rex Lapis' actions). This would also make sense with Geo and Zhongli valuing contracts, as they are a means to an end to getting what you want. However I also think there is some basis of it being a fair contract to all parties rather than simply self interest. But the reason I believe that it is not noly the current Archon's ideals, but also the past ones, come from the Electro element. Eternity for Ei is the standard view of eternity, while eternity for Makoto could best be described as eternity in transience. Immediately Fischl, Sara and Razor are easy to in terms of eternity. But of all the electro characters, Beidou, Keqing, and Lisa don't really match up, but they certainly match up better if it's eternity in a moment. Beidou conquering the seas, which was something she had been gradually working toward, in a single moment. Similar things can be stated with Keqing and Lisa. Can't say much about Dendro since we still have more story to go and only two Dendro visions out at the moment, and three is a trend not two. Though if I had to wager a guess I'd say one of the two relates to Nahida's 'jail bird' personality. As for Hydro, Justice seems to work for most of them, but a couple are kind of weird. So I'd want to say that Destiny might be the former Hydro Archon's ideal, which would work best with Kokomi and Mona. Though again, three is a trend so we'd need to wait for more information on the Hydro Archon. As for Pyro, my main theory is in reference to death and rebirth, as it is a theme repeated in most of their stories. Hu Tao is easy, somewhat similar affect for Diluc, Bennett received his vision when he was close to death and was only able to keep going due to his vision, Thoma essentially got a rebirth in ideals when he dedicated his life to the Kamisato clan. Plus the Pyro chapter is going to be called 'Incandescent Ode of Resurrection' and jury is still out on the Signora 8, Moth, Cryo and Pyro connections which could reference her coming back with the burning of the old world. Personally, I believe that Cryo's ideal is 'rebelling against something for the love of something.' Seen with Kaeya rebelling against the abyss for the love of Mondstadt. Eula is rebelling against the Lawrence clan for the love on Mondstadt. Diona rebelling against the wine industry for the love of her father. Chongyun rebelling against his yang energy for the love of exorcising demons. However, the duality aspect you picked up on is definitely something to consider, especially if in the future there are Cryo characters who fit duality but not the rebelling aspect.

Yeah, like I told another viewer, I intentionally left out the connection to the Archons and I believe that the connection has something to do with the original Archon rather than the new one. I think that people receive their vision because their ambition resonate with an Archon's gnosis. We were told that the gnosis is a direct link to Celestia as well as visions are something like an inferior version of a gnosis. Also, gnoses are passed down to the successor when an Archon dies, they don't get a new one. I can't say that I completely agree with your interpretation of the elements and personalities but I welcome people's personal opinions and theories. I will be able to explain why I disagree as soon as I get to my computer. From my phone I can't read your comment while writing, so it gets really hard to reply.

Kaveh - Got his Vision after the destruction of the first palace of Alcazarzaray, after he went home and made a dish from his childhood. Collei - Got her Vision while keeping a child safe from beasts in the forest. The child had gone wandering off on her own, and without Tighnari there to guide her, Collei had set off on her own to resolve the issue. Your perspective on electro visions is interesting :O I have a different one (their desire is to protect, preserve for eternity), but yours is very intriguing too. One curiosity: the "vision shell" section of the story says that Kazuha had the help of his friend and the proof of it was the vision turning on. About Kazuha's friend, who I'll call "Tomo" for convenience, in the 2.8 event it was confirmed that he already had a vision long before he heard about the existence of the Musou no Hitotachi (although only in Chinese, Spanish and Japanese, I don't know why in English they removed that), so his ambition for which he received his vision was *not* the MNH. In Kazuha's story number 4, it is said that Tomo asked for the duel *to show the meaning of »courage« to everyone.* Which may fit in with what you say about never giving up. And well, Tomo said "there must be one who can withstand it... There will always be those who dares to brave the lightning's glow." Which can be translated as "There will always be those who will never give up". I found it curious how your idea can also fit very well in Tomo ( although not so much if you consider his poem on his grave in Japanese, German and Chinese, but still fit in some way) and I wanted to let you know, hehe ouo Great video! I love your editing and you deserve more subs! GL! «3

And he was, his sword broke as a sign that he protested against her and the decreed until the very end. Not giving up even in the face of a death sentence. I see it differently, it's not courage, but desire, the archon's ambition to stop 1 blow, Kazuha's friend was sure to be a genius at fencing, he lived for him and in his world, to the point that when they wanted to take away his vision, surely he asked for a duel to the death of shogun raiden herself and she accepted only to prove that she could take 1 hit from her, that's why kazuha said the same thing as him at that moment and that's why she activated it, then when he already achieves it and sees what he did, he loses his power. The electro appear to be geniuses at something, but they live in their own world and this can bring them problems, even lead them to death due to their obsession with that world, unlike the pyro, who if they know when to stop, the electro takes them to the extreme, example Emy or fischl and her peculiar way of being, if it is known that she is an excellent researcher almost a genius, but her way of being.
@clover.8147
@clover.8147 Год назад
@@Rozherhn I think you should read my initial comment again because your perspective of Kazuha's friend ("Tomo") is absolutely wrong due to lack of information. Tomo's ambition, *was not* to block the Musou no Hitotachi, Tomo already had vision long before he even knew what it was (this confirmed in 2.8) His goal to ask for the duel was to show the meaning of courage to everyone, to inspire people to fight and protect themselves. He *never* did it thinking of himself, the poem on his tomb in Chinese, Japanese and German confirm this: "Even if the spring thunder is directed towards me, cutting me down and making me ashes, it is for the sake of the world of all". That is why Kazuha's story number 4 in Chinese, refer to Tomo as "his heroic friend", as Tomo was totally altruistic and kind-hearted, trying to protect everyone's ambitions, even at the cost of his own life. He put the welfare of others above his own, it was his enormous kindness that led to his death. And the reason why Kazuha activated "Tomo's" vision is because Tomo gave him his aid from somewhere, this is said in the "vision shell" section of Kazuha's story profile. On the other hand, as this video says, the important thing is to identify the desire of the characters, not the personalities even though they may have similarities. For visions are given by desires. While your idea fits with Fischl, it doesn't fit with other carriers. But well, I hope I have clarified some things for you. «3

@specturv9836 Год назад
I’ve thought about this a lot and I love to see what others think about this topic. So here’s my thoughts which actually will help explain characters like Noelle. anyway Anemo: willed Geo: devoted Electro: protective Dendro hasn’t been here very long but if I had to take a guess: boundless Hydro: selfless Pyro: passion Cryo: conflict To explain anemo is willed because to stay true to your ideals and your interest even after life hits you dead friend clause is very hard and would take a lot of will power. Also trying to change the mind of anemo character on there ideal is like well literally punching the air. Geo character are very devoted to their craft. Making the like anemo characters but more stern. Flowing a specific set of rules even if self imposed thus explaining Noelle and Itto. Devoted to becoming a night and devoted to the arataki gang respectively. Electro is always trying to protect or safeguard something typically something in relation to time. (results may very tho) this also fits with them not giving up whether it be not wanting to grow up or defeating entire sea monster. Dendro like I stated earlier hast been in the game that much but from we see nothing gets them down. No matter if its an over barring akademiya or Elezair nothing gets them down and silence there dreams. Hydro out there also being of use to others. Like how many times do you hear one talk about themselves. Like the literally poster child for hydro is Barbra who singed their hart out to make someone else feel better. Also take note how I said of use instead of helping this is for characters like tartagels. Pyro is well everting stated in the video just truly passionate about their work. Cryo is again everything stated in the video they live very conflicting live. Just ask the alcohol hating cat child that works as a bartender. Btw I also boiled all these down into characters archetypes which are meant for the archons so… Willful singer, devoted worker, timeless guardian, boundless dreamer, selfless ruler, passionate warrior and conflicted soul.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming Год назад
I kinda agree except for Electro because I can't see them protecting much. Take Lisa for example. She didn't get her vision to protect the books in the library, which is the only thing she protects. About the Archon, yes, I wanted someone to do what I intentionally left out of the video, linking the elemental personalities and the Archons. There's one thing I believe (according to what I think, obviously) you got both wrong and right: we shouldn't take the current Archons into consideration, rather we should see the original ones. I believe this because I think there's a connection between the Archons' gnoses and visions. The Archons still have no jurisdiction when it comes to who gets a vision, but I think gnoses are part of the process. Gnoses are passed down from archon to archon. When an archon dies, the new one doesn't receive a new gnosis, they use the one that already exists. So, Barbatos is more like "people should achieve their goals on their own, so I'll leave them be" rather than willful singer. Morax, perfectly said, devoted worker or, like my theory would say, he's just doing what HE thinks that must be done to achieve HIS goals, i.e. Contracts. Electro, here comes the problem. I consider electro a tool to never give up. Makoto welcomed change as a means to reach Eternity, so something that will never end. As a consequence, Ei can use electro and she uses the puppet and the Musou no Hitotachi as tools to never surrender to erosion and achieve eternity (this is something that another viewer made me realize). Hydro as selfless rules perfectly applies to the original Hydro Archon since he/she wanted to connect everybody through water, was loved by the people and loved everyone. The current one just wants to be considered exceptional, a Saint, but that's just what she wants people to think. The way she imposes her will on the people is definitely not selfless, it's egotistical. Pyro, yeah, most likely a passionate warrior. Cryo, the Tsaritsa is a conflicted soul but so would the original Archon. My theory on the Tsaritsa (if you haven't watched my video on the Archons) is that she lost her son/daughter in the cataclysm and he/she was the original Cryo Archon. If we think that Cryo represents duality, it may mean that this kid was probably half what the Tsaritsa is and half some other race and I honestly think he/she was half Khaenri'ahn at this point. There would be nothing that would scream duality more that would also push the Tsaritsa to go against Celestia. The Dendro Archon, I still think my theory is somewhat acceptable. Rukkhadevata seems like a God that wanted to do right for her people and she probably decided to fight alongside Khaenri'ah and die there as it was the right thing to do. So, I don't really think "boundless" to be right, but that's still my opinion. Also, dreamer would apply to Kusanali alone rather than Rukkhadevata, who was a true God of Wisdom.

@@ShadowX5452Gaming ok ok let me dissect this you have some very valid points I’ll say. But for starters Lisa is protecting something you see its time for lore. Lisa use to got to the go to the “wonderful” sumeru akadamiya which apparently just has cursed books lying around I know weird right anyway. Lisa read from one of these books and *snip* there goes half her life spand. Now Lisa has a lot less time to live and by living in mondstat and being a librarian she protects the little time she has left. On top of that and I say this nicely you’re thinking to physically. Like Fischl protects her childhood by basically peterpaning the situation. Refusing accept change to an extent this is also what I was talking about when I said protecting something in relation to time. Moving on from that tho time for the other point “We shouldn’t take the current archons into consideration” Ya no let me tell ya something the statuses of the seven are depictions of the current archon and changes accordingly. a change that represents how the ideals are the archons and characterizations of the elemental are changeable. yes the gnosis is passed down but that’s just a gnosis all it does is represents what piece the archon play on the chess board. Next the archon archetypes Venti: would be willful the fact that he believes people should achieve things on their own is his will of freedom. which can not be changed because of his chosen ignorance. Venti goes around pretending he knows less than he actually does and of course trying to debate that would be incredible difficult. especially with the amount of changing topic he’d do. Ei: what is a tool more than a means to an end an end in which is (overbearingly) protecting something for all eternity. Hydro archon: I agree with this but many hydro characters still shows traits of selflessness so… maybe characteristic along with ideals can stack? Tsaritsa: the idea of archon having children is interesting and wired. sense most of them tend to appear for seamlessly nowhere like the electro twins. I do agree with the theory tho that the Tsaritsa lost someone dear to her by the hand of celestia. I was thinking more romantic partners tho fitting for the god of love right. Also how would the child be the original archon that doesn’t really make sense. Rukkadevata&kusanali: like I said statues depict the current archons so again kusanali’s ideals matter and well she is obviously a boundless dreamer and dendro characters thus are never held back from chasing their dreams Also to explain to use of the word ignorant and overbearing all archon ideals are exaggerated element characteristics which we have Venti: ignorant Zhongli: stubborn Ei: overbearing Kusanali limitedness (I had an thought what if certain archon’s exaggeration is just the opposite of element’s characteristic) Hydro archon: egotistical (thus why the hydro archon doesn’t feel selfless the ideal still there it’s just been warped beyond recognition) Pyro: dictative Tsaritsa:emptiness (kinda like how the Tsaritsa use to be the goddess of love)

That's why I think it's a tool. Her story is like saying "I've read about gardening, I know everything about it on books but, to become a better gardener I need to do gardening for real. The only apparent outlier might be Xingqiu, though he is dedicated to be a just hero for the people. Tartaglia, aggresive as he is, cares very much for his family as much as he cares for battle. As for Electro characters, they're all ''people that don't fit in'', in a sense. Fischl is eccentric, Keqing openly defied the beliefs of the majority of Liyue, Razor should be obvious, Miko is a youkai in a time where they're mostly gone... etc. About Cryo and Pyro, yep, we share thoughts.

My theory on Hydro was that it was based on “purity”. Barbara wishes to heal others through song, Mona uses Astrology to ascertain the truth as a means to provide guidance without desecrating the art she uses, and while Childe might seem the odd one out, I say he still fits because while the Abyss made him a little cuckoo, his will to protect his family as well as all of Snezhnaya never changed since his childhood. So he uses his dirty and brutal tactics not entirely for the sake of his own enjoyment, character story made it very clear that he has a conscience. I can see why this could be incorrect since this is a pretty general take on the reasoning since the term “purity” casts a wide umbrella when it comes to discussion of “ambition”, but I figured it made sense since the word “purity” is heavily tied to both water as well as the concept of justice, the concept the Hydro Archon of Fontaine abides by.

I was actually thinking about this some days ago. So... First off, I think the circumstances in which a person receives their vision isn't directly correlated with the vision's element, at least not always. Based on what Zhongli said, I think people receive their visions at a critical moment in their life, if they stay determined enough, and the element represents their overall personality. And from the Inazuma arc we know that visions represent a person's wishes, dreams and aspirations. That's why I think awakening a masterless vision depends more on having the same goals and aspirations, and of course having a similar personality helps. For example Kazuha reawakened his friend's vision for a brief moment, because at that moment Kazuha's greatest wish was the same as his friend's - to parry the Musou no Hitotachi. That said, here are my interpretations of element-personality connections: Cryo - Rebellion or conflict - against odds, against fate, against family connections, against tradition, against the wine industry, or against gods Hydro - Sense of justice and responsibility, caring - people who strive to do the right thing and fight for the sake of others - their compatriots, their family and their friends Anemo - Freedom, individualism and taking matters into their own hands in their own way - leading their lives, their clans and their people in a way that agrees with their own beliefs Pyro - Passion, I think it's the most obvious one lol Electro - This one gave me some trouble, but I think it has to do with pragmatism and loyalty, staying true and loyal to your ideals, environment, etc. through methodical and honest work Geo - Perseverance, strength of character and self-improvement - striving to reach your goals no matter how long and tedious the road ahead will be, betterment of oneself through iteration and never giving up Dendro - Honestly haven't thought about this one lol I think there could be, and is, some overlap between the elements - probably because there are some characteristics that are prerequisites for obtaining a vision, but it's cool because while some of these elements share some personality traits, I think their users would approach problems differently. For example I think Geo and Anemo both make better leaders than for example Cryo or Hydro, but a Geo leader will have vastly different approach to leadership than an Anemo leader. But yeah, thanks for listening to my TED Talk. lol

Pyro characters also have a theme of family bonds and can be further taken on how their passion was inspired by parental figures. Most obtain their vision at a young age and are rather pure and innocent. It is even more interesting to think that Murata the Pyro Archon is the only Archon known to bear children. Hu Tao and Yoimiya are both raised up in their family lineage’s line of work, and consequently excels and enjoys them. Bennet is adopted into the adventurers guild and is thankful for the many father figures (he calls dads) for taking him in, and consequently loves adventure himself. Xinyan was encouraged by her parents to ‘rise like a phoenix’ though they were poor, discriminated against and her being a rock and roll artist, which was very disliked initially. Thoma is half Mondstater and half Inazuman. His father taught him the value of loyalty, and is what pushed him to side with the Kamisato clan though they were losing power. Yanfei is half illuminated beast and half human. She didn’t sign a contract with Rex Lapis, but she did with her parents, and it is to ‘live happily’, and does so by helping those in need of legal advice. Diluc, before his father died, was inspired by Crepus to be a knight as Crepus himself failed to become one. Amber has admired her grandfather for being the captain of the outriders before it disbanded and wanted to be in the same faction. Even though he disappeared, she still keeps this admiration. Klee and Alice have a very tight relationship. She loves spoiling her child. Xiangling’s father, Chef Mao is also a cook and being brought up in her household, takes the same interests as him.

He only recently tried to find a solution for his clan but, still, he didn't really tried to solve anything other than just rehabilitating the clan's name and he, once again, went away. The clan is still done for. I don't think Xiao received his vision while he was enslaved, because back then he didn't have a purpose in life, he didn't even have a life to live as he wanted. He probably got it after he was saved by Morax and he found his "calling", which is what he still does now with the karmic debt. I think the concept of freedom shared by anemo users and Barbatos is something more like "you are free to find your own mission in life without a God telling you what to do".

geo from my obervation for what i can describe is they stand firm in there belief. noelle continuesly says that her way of dealing with things in a simple way is the correct way. zhongli even know techniculy since hes the archon isnt exactly subjected to this, but he stands firm on his contracts through and through. yunjins interpitation on theater is something she continues to practice and refine, and even accepts that this can change because of her belief being maluable but still stands firm for it. itto in his entierty always stands firm for his beliefs even if it has down sides to it to the point that he refuses to be treated any less because of something like positions. albedo stands firm in the fact alchemy can help in many ways if not unexpected(theres probably something better i could say about him, but hard for me to figure out atm). ningguang persute in money and the continuation of the system is something she always stand firm on. gorou, i think im missing something, but he continues to stand firm on duty throughout all his interactions even if slip ups can occur.

I think most of these are very apt-- I didn't think about Anemo and Electro that way before, but it totally fits! My personal take on Geo, though, is different: I think it's about the holder wanting to be reliable, and succeeding. Gorou wants to be the best general for his people and support his comrades. Ningguang was already the leader of the Qixing when she got her vision, and wanted to keep it prosperous through business. Yun Jin is the new director of the opera troupe, and wants to be as great as her parents were. Albedo's research is incredibly important to the development of Mondstadts technology, and he also wants to follow in his masters footsteps and be a good brother for Klee. Itto is the leader of the Arataki Gang, a band of misfits like him, and doesn't want other people to feel the way he did. And Noelle, of course, wants to be a knight of Favonius, but is already considered very reliable by the knights to the point that Jean has to reprimand people for relying on her too much. All of these vision holders want to be a "rock" to other people, the person they can come to in times of need. That's just my take, though ^^

I think, though, that we would need to Analyse the original Archon's Ambition, not the substitute, because when an Archon dies, their Gnosis is passed down to the successor, they are not given a new one. Dendro, and not because of the hype for the new region Sumeru, I've always imagined that my vision would be dendro before it was even cool, before Inazuma, when the only dendro appearance was in Baizhu, dendro slimes and the magician hilichurls, at the time I didn't even like dendro since it wasn't very "elemental" for an element but, as much as it bored me, if it had to do with curiosity for knowledge that would be me. I like theorizing. Edit: [ **There is nothing important to be seen in the following info, just me musing about myself. Consider if this is all worth your time** ] I don't fit with the doing the right thing against all odds directly, I can do it sure but my mechanism of action is more of a experimental personality, whenever something bad and unexpected happens to me I'm like "Well, this is certainly new" however I do have morals although any time I've stood up was for some average dispute in class or for wanting to follow the right proceeding or to justify why I do or did think my answer was the correct one. This leads to people thinking I am getting frustrated or in turmoil, that I complicate things though this only happens when extreme theorizing. Above that I'm an average dude and I don't think I would get a vision, with luck they would let me in Sumeru.

most of the personality trait of vision wielder can be seen in the flavor text of the elemental stone, the biggest one, and my take from it are Pyro: passion, the text literally said they're one who burn their life for their passion (wonder what diluc passion) Geo: effort, it's a vision granted for everyone that keep going with steady effort to reach their goal Anemo: Freedom, to do whatever they want without anything chaining them down (no idea how it translate to jean and xiao though) Cryo: endurance, it's a vision given to one who endure and keep going through the harsh fate (majority of cryo wielder have dark past one way or another) those 4 are the easy one, while the rest are more ambiguous, but most likely Electro: Control, it's a vision given to one who wishes for more control of something (Ei-Inazuma fate, Fischl - her own destiny, keqing-the future of the liyue city, beidou,-control over the ocean) Hydro: Ideal, people that strive to live in their most idealistic idea of the world (barbara world full of smiles, Childe Power is justice, xingqiu Knowledge is power) then dendro are most likely: curiosity

I could agree with most of what you said since it doesn't really go that far from what I deduced, except for Anemo (because, in my opinion, if the theory doesn't apply to every single character, then it's wrong so there's something else) and dendro because the way Tighnari, Collei and the one from the spoiler (I don't know if you played that part, so I won't say who this person is) didn't receive their visions in a moment of curiosity (that sounds more like Lisa's story, if anything) and their life is definitely not based on cusiosity in general.

What I believe the perfect twist would be and my own headcanon, is that people inherently have the power to control the elements at one point or the other. However, when people are about to achieve that elemental power, Celestia intervenes and plots a bug on them, the "vision". It could be meant as a means to control the person's elemental energy and not let them get stronger beyond a certain point. Traveler not having a vision makes them uncontrollable by Celestia, hence why Baal/Ei went apeshit and said he's an exception (because traveller is out of world and not under Celestia's control). Pretty cool theory IMO. Also explains why taking it from the person turns them mindless, so this might be Celestia's way of making sure if the bug is removed the host itself is rendered useless. By the way, this is a straight reference to Ichigo Kurosaki's substitute soul reaper badge, which was given to him by Soul Society to spy on him and rate limit his powers LoL.

I've always thought of geo as something like "dedication" or "dedicated towards a goal/interest" if you look at all geo they seem to not care what obstacles/issues they face they stayed in their path. They seem emotionally and spiritually hardened. Ningguang - wanted mora so she dedicated all her life to be successful Noelle - wanted to be a knight so she dedicate all her effort and training to be one Albedo - wanted to know more of the truth he wants so he dedicated all his life in that research itto - may not look special when it comes to background but base on his story he was an outcast, so he dedicated on making a gang/group for other people that seem like an outcast helping them so on and so forth. This seems to be a common thing that I noticed from geo characters they don't yield. what they want, what they promised they'll go through with it without regrets or doubts

I love this interpretation, and I'm also reading all the other comments and one of them I find interesting for pointing out Electro because we have multiple interpretations of Eternity, according to Ei vs Makoto. Now with Sumeru we find out they had more than one God before, and they all interpreted Wisdom in their own way, too. Commenting mainly on Justice, because that was a bit tricky for me to interpret too, the original Archon might also have the same ideal, but a different take on it as well, maybe in Justice in honor, Justice in objectivity, Justice in scrupulousness, or Justice in equitableness, those kinds of things, basically different flavors of the same ideal. Or even Justice that is rooted in what has been defined as good vs. bad, vs. Justice rooted in fairness for all people, for every identity, gender, color, class, etc. The fact we have multiple interpretations of a single Ideal might apply the same for Visions, in that a Vision being handed to a person doesn't mean they share one core ideal as reason. So people probably receive their Visions according to the heavenly ideal closest to their own, like a branch to a tree (I have to mention the tree aspect because og Irminsul but I digress). Not necessarily is Barbara's ideal Justice per se, Barbara was not a singer up until the point she was faced with a sick child, and her making sure to not simply abandon the child might be rooted in objectivity more so than love/care, or passion, or self-preservation, or duty. That's one example but yknow, that kind of thing.

My personal theory is it's less about the particular moment they get a vision that defines their element, and more about the character embodies the ideals of the element/archon. To run it down: Ameno The Ameno archon values freedom above all else, he is also someone who is pretty quick to help those around him in indirect ways. Thus all his Vision wielders are either people that are free-spirited types (Kazuha, Heizou) or require assistance that can help them gain some freedom in their life. To elaborate: - Jean: bogged down by her duties and responsibilities as a knight - Xiao: the chains and karma of being a yaksha - Sucrose: her intense social anxiety that stops her from connecting with people - Sayu: her own paralyzing fear from her weakness and burdens of her duties despite her age Geo The Geo Archon is the god of contracts, and Geo Visions are actually pretty straight forward. These are characters that have a code of duty, or contract, that they follow very seriously. The big distinction from this is to Hydro is that hydro tends to devote themselves to a CAUSE while Geo is more devoted to their code. Electro While the Electro Archon is the god of eternity, it's important to look at what the original Electro Archon (Makoto) valued. It was less consistency and more appreciating special moments - flashes of lightning, in a sense. As such Electro vision users tend to be eccentric and unique people. They are the outcasts, people who stick out from the crowd. It's when Ei started losing sight of the valuing exceptions did visions stop being handed out. Dendro Still working on this one, since there's only two Dendro so far and we're still working on the archon quest, so brb on this one. Hydro We know that the Hydro Archon is the god of justice. She is devoted to the cause of justice to the point of holding courts regularly and taking pride in it. Based on other hydro characters, I think hydro visions are given out to people who devote themselves to a CAUSE. Unlike Geo users, this cause exists outside themselves, and they will change their own behaviors in order to live up to that cause. Pyro Pyro Archon is the god of war. We don't know much about her, but based on the pyro characters she seems to value people who are strongly passionate about their interests and goals. There's no exact creed like with Hydro or Geo (Yanfei has rules but she tends to lawyer through them a lot when she wants to), just sheer enthusiasm. Cryo Cryo Archon was the god of love, but hardened after the cataclysm. So I think Cryo Vision wielders are either two fold: they are either people who have a deep love for something or someone (Ayaka loves her family, Ganyu loves Liyue, Chongyun loves his family and exorcism, Diona loves her father, Kaeya loves his adopted family even if he doesn't fully acknowledge it) or they are people who have also been hurt like the Cyro archon was (Qiqi getting killed, Shenhe getting sacrificed, Eula being treated poorly, Rosaria's entire backstory).

Such a fun and interesting video! I've been looking EVERYWHERE for one that goes in depth and detail, so I'd like to share my thoughts too. Cryo is my favorite element and I have spent hours dissecting it. I believe it represents Depth in Contradiction, Harmony in Difference, and so on... Cryo characters represent inner conflict, they put on a front outside to let people see what they want to see, and not the conflicted mess within. Ice and snow are very beautiful and alluring to the unassuming, but those who do know more about it know how dangerous it is, a sign of love and purity, we all know when it snows, it's Christmas etc and that means joy. But ice also brings the withering/decay of life, a dangerous and contradicting beauty that coexists in harmony. It's beautiful, only on the surface. The Cryo characters have a lot of depth to them, and it's the same contradictions that make them so great. I believe pyro is indeed burning passion as you say it. But the more I think about it, these burning passions burn bright, but that begs another fact. Fire eventually burns out. I think that their pursuit of passion will be short lived, and it's not limitless. They will burn in blazing glory, even for a moment, and leave their own burn mark on the world, but they will, just as fast, die out. Klee's child like innocence that allows her to make these bombs she loves so much will eventually come to an end as she matures and realizes the hazard, even if she keeps pursuing it, she will grow up no matter what. Diluc will eventually probably die or lose his ability to fight upon facing what I think would suit him, one final battle against his greatest enemy, whether that be Kaeya, the Abyss Order, or the Fatui, I don't know. But I think it's fitting that he'll burn bright in victory, right before his flame turns to ashes. Bennett can't always be lucky, to survive every misfortune. I believe the same pyro vision that recognized his ambition and drive, will eventually be the thing that leads Bennett to a final adventure. Geo I think is hard work, diligence and perseverance. Steady as a rock, slowly over time, they turn into mountains. Their consistent diligent efforts to better themselves, or to be themselves (Itto) without letting anything stop them. They're slowly but surely building their way to their goals, little by little, maybe. But progress is progress and you don't look down on progress no matter how small it may be. As for the inner conflict sides of the characters, well, mountains cannot rise without earthquakes, that's for certain. It's only through those times where they're challenged that their ability to push through and work hard like they always have, can shine and emerge even taller. Dendro I will go over it quick sorta? I still don't quite understand it, but in simple terms, what do plants do? Grow. And for that as my judgement as of writing this, that Dendro represents growth. And ya this is kinda weak cuz every character grows duh but I can't really find any other point. Tighnari grew as a person when he went against someone, and as a result, Tighnari is now not a person who holds back his thoughts, giving his honest opinion, being sure in himself that he will help. Collei is self growth, I believe. She used to be hostile and violent, but it was through her own acceptance and desire to break free of her trauma that eventually led her to wanting to save that child, even going against the warnings and doing what she believes is right, not only for the child but for herself. This also reflects into Nahida as a character, always kind and wise, but she no longer gets pushed around by the Akademiya, instead standing up for herself, after a long time of growth on herself, and now, these 3 characters stand tall and firm, like a tree that sprouted and grew stronger despite their conditions. Electro is the challenging one for me. I find so many contradictions and yet bc of Ei/Makoto's duality, I feel like that was on purpose. Electro characters are outcasted in some way, and through that they face hardship in trying to stay true to themselves, wanting the path and life they choose even if it meant going against the world (dk how this applies to Razor) Lightning is a brief flash of light amidst black clouds of thunder, yet powerful and frightening, deadly even. These electro characters received their vision in times where everything felt cloudy and hopeless to them, yet they received their vision in almost a flash of light, shining hope on their ambitions and letting them pursue and shock the world with their lightning, if they wish. Woo I'm getting sloppy don't mind me guys I haven't slept. Hydro to me represents responsibility and the ability to stay fluid and unmoving, in spite of times when their currents and tides might rage. You can move a boulder, you can uproot a tree, but you can't stop a river from flowing even if you tried. They're skilled at what they do and take responsibility for it, using it to their ideals and beliefs, always raging on even if the skies darken and mountains crumble, you cannot move an ocean. (I'm making no sense) Childe and his responsibility to his family. To protect childhood innocence, believing it to be his burden alone to carry. Same with Kokomi, who needs to be responsible and a great leader, and no matter what, she will press on. These characters do have their stability and unwavering spirit, but rather than the diligence and hard work of Geo characters, they have natural excellency, and with great power comes great responsibility, to use it for the right things that they believe in. Last I think is Anemo?? Forgive me if I forget any elements like I said I am TIRED Anemo to me represents acceptance, and freedom in self and soul. There's nothing to me at least, more truly freeing than to be able to accept your circumstances, your own self, and to be free with it. Wanderer might be literally free from his past, but that's wrong. He got his vision the moment he got his memories back, and by the time he stood up to protect someone, deciding to accept his fate. Accept that he can never be free of his past sins, but back then, he didn't accept it. He only ever denied it and provoked others who tried to make him aware. Now, he's more free than ever, accepting his sins and evil as part of him, but never will he be shackled by it. He might atone, but he accepts that as who he is and chooses his own path with it, over being shackled in anger and hatred again. Heizou is freedom in confidence and pursuit. He is confident in his skills enough to pursue whatever he wants, it's not that he's lazy and irresponsible to his job, but rather he recognizes it as part of his life and still chooses to pursue what keeps him going, his detective work. Xiao is tricky you might think, but he is absolutely free and accepting of himself, even in the cruelest ways. He was a killer, he devoured many dreams, he deserves to be feared, alone and isolated for that. But he never denies it. Even if it brings him great pain, he accepts his past, even if it wasn't his fault, he knows the weight of it and he will continue to bear it for as long as he lives. And even after being renamed, given a new identity, purpose and life, he still accepts his past, though more so in a guilt/sinner kind of way, he accepts it and knows it as part of him, and he might let it burden him, but he lives on anyways. Acceptance of his past, but not to let them shackle him to his new life, is acceptance of self and acknowledgement, of his current freedom.

I feel that the ambitions of users tend to share common ground with that of the archon's ideals. Seeing as visions are a manifestation of ambition i like to believe that rather than duality, cryo users are granted their vision as a manifestation of their rebellion against certain ideals. Diona despises alcohol but understands why people drink it and so as an act of rebellion she works in the alcohol industry to drive off customers, albeit not very well. Same with chongyun not being the best person to be an exorcist due to his yang energy but ignoring it and pursuing exorcism regardless. I think this could be the ideal of the tsaritsa too, breaking from the chains of society by rebellion. I feel hydro is more of an ambition of justice by every means. Seeing how yelan seeks to ensure no one else is hurt because of her and so she strives to be able to solve every problem by herself, hence endagering no one else. Dendro on the otherhand i feel is the wisdom of the user being realised in their work making their ambition realised at the same time. For tighnari he realised the wisest path to utilise his strengths is not behind the walls of the akademiya but tather in the wild actively helping others. Anemo then would be the freedom realised in the ambition to accept change within the user. Electro being the unchanging, eternal drive to excel in ones work. beidou refusing to back down even fighting a leviathan showing her unchanging ambition to grow stronger. Geo is the element of contracts, likewise its users seem to share an ambition that fortifies their ideals by making 'contracts' with themselves to never deviate from it. Yunjin choosing to write opera in her own way and noelle choosing to constantly train to be a knight of favonius despite failing multiple times. Pyro definately seems to just be a burning passion or in other words, strong ambition.

I've never really managed to find a good way to explain the 'geo character trait' it's easy to say 'ah yes, geo behavior' but it's a bit harder to really say it precisly, since saying 'albedo is just passionate about alchemy' doesn't work much, he'd be pyro then- So i'm glad I have a good way to put it now, at least until they give another geo, but seeing from what we got, we'll probably only get 2 with sumeru. Also, I do believe geo is more the way they go about things, more than the thing it self, the 'relentless work' seems to be shared for every characters. It's also fun to know that at least half the geo characters either didn't care or weren't really about about their visions (albedo sees it as a tool, ninnguang first reaction was 'i can't sell it' and noelle is a bit bumbed it's geo, and not anemo)

Those who choose to go their own way, go against what is expected but are capable of great feats in very specific critical moments. They will surprise you or be "shocking". dendro- philosophers. Highly intelligent big picture thinkers. They are guides. Geo - Stability. They are what binds society. Sturdy like a rock. Anemo- they are capable of letting things go. the free spirits that look for worthy causes. anemo and electro have a lot of overlapping. Anemo is electro, just without the rebellion. I suppose that's why Kazuha was able to trigger the electro. in that moment against the shogun he found his rebellion. Also, why the wanderer stopped being electro and became anemo when he lost his rebellion.

I am of the belief that whatever dictates what element you get has a lot more to do with the soverign dragons. I think visions are just elemental energy trapped and reutilised by celestia. The lore we have suggests elements are much more tied to the natural denizens of teyvat like slimes and vishaps versus celestial beings like the primordial one or archons. It would still make sense for dendro too since Apep seemed to seek knowledge of all else which is why deshret was able to trick her into consuming the forbidden knowledge.

For electro, I believe the requirement is to have undying faith in oneself, even in the face of insurmountable odds. This tracks with Lisa, since no one in their right mind would think that simply wishing for a vision would be enough. Despite this, Lisa had faith that it would work, and so it did. Similarly, Fischl knows deep down that her fantasy is just a fantasy. I don't believe she is so delusional as to believe that the things she say actually track to reality. Even so, her undying commitment to her own passion, even if it's ridiculous, granted her an electro vision. For geo, I believe the requirement is simply doing things your own way. It can be anything, so long as you put your own touch on it.

for lisa's, theres a theory going around that lisa learned too much about the gods and celestia, so celestia punished her by cutting her life in half. dont know how theyed let her know that they know what shes reading about, but here comes my part of the theory; celestia punished lisa by cutting her life in half, in the form of granting her a vision when she asked for it, to add to that, she needed to be 'seen' by celestia in some way in order to get granted a vision, and she achieved that by knowing too much. id say this also fits in the 'tools to not give up' with the vision as a 'tool' to warn lisa and lisa chose to not 'surrender' to this and live her life till shes satisfied. sorry if ya couldnt understand how i worded it or if the theory doesnt make sense but its just what i could gather

If it's not that, than I'm leaning towards it being about protection- either the protection of oneself or the protection of others. Ei wants to protect herself and her ppl, she just believed human ambition was the problem/was tricked. Razor protects his pack, kujo Sara protects herself, cyno is mahamatra for his ppl, fishl protects her dreams, tomo we don't know how or when he recieved but we know he protected everyone's ambitions, that's his heart, so he's probably done that before - maybe kuki is protecting her own ideals.. & Lisa is Lisa. Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed the video! Although protection does make sense, it is also a very broad ambition, since most people with different elements are also protecting someone. You could easily find at least one character for each element that is protecting someone. Jean protects Mondstadt, and she's anemo, Tighnari protects the forest, and he's Dendro, Ninnguang protects Liyue, and she's Geo, Candace protects Aaru Village, and she's hydro, Chongyung wants to protect the people from evil spirits, and he's cryo.

I don't completely agree but you made me think about Dendro. I said it was just doing the right thing despite the potential bad consequences, but maybe I should also add using your knowledge to do the right thing despite the potential consequences... But I have to say, for Electro, Beidou didn't end up in a dangerous situation, she went there herself so, in her case, I don't see her "choosing to survive". For Pyro, remember that Diluc's original passion was becoming a knight to be praised by his father and this was specifically marked in his vision story. His father's praises were what fueled the fire in his heart. He more or less lost that specific passion. He's still doing what a knight would do, protecting Mondstadt, but there's no father to praise him anymore.

Yes that makes sense until we realize that Jean and Ningguang are Anemo and Geo and not Hydro. They uphold an institution, probably the most important ones for their respective nations but they're not Hydro. Also, Nilhou, to my knowledge, doesn't uphold any institution at all, as well as Childe (since he's the lowest ranking Harbinger), while Candace is just the protector of Aaru Village, so not an institution anyway...

@@ShadowX5452Gaming true. Our theory is that vision users have more to do with their conversation to the archon than the element itself. Ninguang while upholding the qixing of liyue is most known for her wealth. Okay so our breakdown of the characters is this, anemo are tied to loss be it voluntary or otherwise they lose something of themselves. Electro are dedicated to a personal ideal, serving the shogun, Fischl to the Immernachreich or Keqing to moving Liyue without divinity. Geo seem to reflect Morax refinement in his later life with them polishing themselves in their respective fields, theatre, art and alchemy even Itto in his own way refines games and fun ( and might be the best representation of Morax before Guizhong came into the picture). While Nilou isn’t in any formal institution she does seem to represent the more arts inclined people of sumeru and Candace being a descendant of Deshret and Guarding the remains of his civilization can be seen as continuing the institution of his protectorate. Pyro all simple display a burning passion. For cryo it’s characters seem to have a hidden dimension to them ( much like how the tsaritsa might not be as she appears to the outside world) from Kaeya and his ties to Khaenriah, Eula’s gentleness hidden behind her haughty status as a noble or Shehe’s bloodlust and Chongyun’s overwhelming chi. Again this was just my friend and I looking for thematic links between the characters and their visions while remembering the current elements are as a result of the Archons.

It's tricky but I think that Geo Visions are granted to people who take second chances. People who see opportunity on the other side of hardship and who don't abandon old virtues, whether virtues of their own or those who came before them. I think back to Albedo picking up his master's work, Yun Jin finding new passion for her performances, Gorou leading a resistance to reclaim lost visions, Noelle constantly failing knight exams but always being the first in line to try again, Ningguang seeing untapped potential and an entire industry in the distribution of masterless visions

For me Pyro = Ambitious, passionate people who matching to reality but decided to achieve something else. Cryo = People who don't match their environment, they have "something" different in themself. Dendro = Seeking knowledge and improving themself. Anemo = Want to "run away" from something, not exactly physically, want to be free on their decision. Geo = Exchange something for something. Electro = Want to live in a moment or stop a moment (not exactly be free) Of course don't treat it stricter, more philosophically. ;)

I don't think cryo is duality, but contrariety in his actions, characteristics, what he says, his actions reflect this, he contradicts himself, example ayaka when he got his vision collided with what he really wanted, shown in his mission, to be a normal person but at that moment he gave that blow he stopped being a normal person, that's where his disappointment, the rest of the users are simpler like ganyu who wants a quiet and peaceful life but his life is really the opposite. Anemos all users had a loss, I know of someone, or something different, but they lost something, they also kept their faith or their firm belief, and some have the desire for freedom, sayu lost her mastery and when she was caught had "faith" in his teachings and getting a vision. the pyro is passion for something and must live for it, everything is like that, even hu tao that his passion is to take souls to the other world and he loves it. the electro if you look at everything are geniuses at something and normally live in their world regardless of whether this can give them problems or not, they also defend everything, Lisa is a genius among the best in sumeru and she was so into her thesis, in his world that fulfilled the vision, razor is a genius in survival, he managed to survive among a pack of wolves, he even managed to learn more or less human language among other things, but his story reflects that he does not want to leave his world behind, in living with the Wolves.

I disagree with nearly all of them except Cryo and Dendro, and Cryo to a lesser degree. I think that in reality, they're all representative of the archons. And I don't know much Dendro, since we only have two characters and I am still formulating my own idea about it. In my opinion the analysis isn't wrong at all, but it dismisses a side to the ambitions that is key: Where the ambition comes from, and how is it reached. If we see each character and analyze why they have the ambition they have, they resonate to the current archon that represents their element one way or another, even if stretching the definition a little. Cryo is an element of love, but as stated in the Teyvat chapter, "she is a god of love with no love left for her people, nor do they have any left for her". Rather than the duality as a whole, it is a means of protection. Those who love someone, or something, are bound to be hurt by it no matter what, and that's what I think the Cryo vision represents, the hurt of loving, wether it is a person, an art, a discipline, a nation, wathever. Qiqi loves life, Rosaria loves freedom, Eula loves Mondstadt, Chongyun loves exorcism, etc. They all have been hurt by it, hence why I think Cryo is most fitting, like "applying cold to the wound". We even see this with Signora, how she was given the Cryo delusion to quell her flames, a product of anger and hurt. Anemo is the element of freedom, and someone who is "free-spirited" is nearly always going on their own and coutning on themselves and little more. This would of course lead to a person who is mostly self-made, as being entirely self-made is impossible. That's why the joke of dead friend = Anemo, maybe that is what inspires someone to become self-sufficient, and hence "free" from needing anyone else in many situations. Hydro is the element of Justice. While everyone in the Hydro crew is excellent at something, there is someone who dedicates himself to two things: Xingqiu. He is not only an excellent martial artist, but also a succesfull light-novel autor for the people of Inazuma. I have not much to say about Hydro, mostly because someone already made a video on it, and I agree to everything said in it, sevii's video of "Hydro and the concept of Justice", I recommend watching it. But in short: Justice doesn't mean just being fair and always following the laws, but instead always following one single, personal moral code. The same can be said about Pyro and Electro, and even Anemo, but I have a slightly different viewpoint than her on it, so I put it there as well. Geo doesn't really mean self interest to me, as much as commitment. Every Geo character abides by a sort of contract. They pursue their ambition in their own way, but never step off the line, following a "law" of sorts. Ningguang follows money, Albedo follows knowledge, Gorou follows comradery, so on, so forth. In the case of Noelle, I think why she got her vision at that moment is because she decided not to desist, and would keep on "honoring her contract" with the knights. And about Itto, he doesn't follow any law imposed by the shogunate, but same as Gorou, he follows the laws of comradery and friendship, even if in a more personal way. They do everything they can to lead others in the best way possible, even if one leads soldiers and the other his friend group. And I have not much for Dendro.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
@ShadowX5452Gaming Год назад
I obviously disagree with your theory and the reason why is very simple: elements can't represent the current Archons because that would mean that, when the original Archon died, every single Vision given during that Archon's time would have deactivated. If anything, Visions may resonate with the original Archon even after their death since Gnoses are the only thing that belonged to that Archon and it's passed down to the successor. Still, when it comes to your explanation of the elements and personalities, I still can't agree with them, especially when it comes to the Tsaritsa, since everybody is 100% sure that she's the God of Love just because Dainsleif said that she doesn't love her people anymore, which means literally nothing. Barbatos, Morax, Makoto and Ei, Rukkhadevata and Kusanali all love their respective people, still that doesn't make them Gods of Love. It's kinda obvious for a God to love its people... I am still convinced that the Tsaritsa is the God of Peace and I'm basing this on what Pierro says in the Winter Night's Lazzo video and he seems to highlight the fact that she wants absolute peace, that that's the Tsaritsa's benevolence and gift, which isn't a proof (as well as Dainsleif's speech isn't), but it sounds more like a hint that was given to us about her. So, despite everything, I can't see Cryo as an element of love because many characters love something they pursue like Ningguang loves Mora, Tighnari loves the forest so much that he gave up on his position of prestige in the Akademiya, Klee loves making bombs, but none of them are Cryo. On the other hand, each Cryo user found themselves in a precise moment of duality when they received their vision, like Qiqi was about to die and the Adepti had already decided to revive her (and, of course a child loves life, who wouldn't), Kaeya received his vision the moment his two realities clashed in an actual fight, Rosaria received her vision when she defeated the evil bandit who kidnapped her but that had become a father to her in the meantime. Anemo as Freedom is an extention of what I said. If you alone are making your future with your hands, your freedom is necessary to do so. Also, I don't buy the dead friend thing because many other characters had someone they cared for who died (Diluc as a prime example, but also Hu Tao, Shenhe, I mean, people die in Teyvat very easily) but they're not Anemo. Hydro as Justice, once again, Barbara isn't really fighting or living for justice, she's an example for the people to follow ad well as it's Ayato for his clan (and he received his vision when it was his time to be the head of the clan), but he also fights for justice, but fighting for justice doesn't really seems the cause that gave them the vision. I believe that the moment a vision is given, holds the meaning of that vision. Geo, the way I said it is really bad. By self interest I didn't mean that they're egoistic people who only think about themselves. I meant that reaching their goals will primarily benefit themselves and later other people. Ningguang is getting richer and richer because she loves Mora and money. This benefits her first but also Liyue later. Itto wants to be accepted by the people first and wants oni to be accepted as a consequence. Noelle wants to become what she thinks being a knight means and she does everything to prove herself. Of course, once a knight, you'll help the city even more. But, like I always say, even thought I may not agree with people's theories, I am happy to see people taking their time to let me know what they think, so thank you!

@@ShadowX5452Gaming There are two beings that dismiss the whole archon ideal doesn't go to element meaning thing, and those are Lesser Lord Kusanali and Raiden Ei. Yes, in the case of Ei, it was kept secret that the previous archon, Raiden Makoto died, but Ei succeeded her still as a god of eternity. While in Sumeru, Lesser Lord Kusanali is stil a god of wisdom, even if approaching that subject by other angle that Rukkhadevata didn't. And as for the example of Barbara, that really means nothing, since justice isn't something to die for. I said I agreed with someone else's opinion there, and I said what the source was so I recommend checking it out before commenting on it. But the reason that means nothing is: Not everyone is dying for their respective visions in the rest of the elements either. Justice is not going out and being a hero, is just being transparent and clean to an ideal, or moral code. Barbara changes the world -or at least Mondstadt- with song, that is her justice, helping the people of Mondstadt in her own way. Also the dead friend for Anemo I said it as a joke, I've seen in a lot lately. But even though I disagree, I see what your point is, it is still good.
