There is a bit more of a story as to why Angelina performs barefoot. Here is the short version: When she was 6 and travelling in the Middle East (probably Iran) with her Grandmother, she met a girl in the street about her own age who made money by weighing people. They visited for quite a while, which led to Angelina giving that girl her shoes and committing to never wearing shoes while performing in public to help bring awareness about all of the barefoot children in the world who need help.

Angelina performs barefoot to remind her of all the less fortunate children in the world. She has helped raise millions for charities. Youngest published author in Norway at age 9. Angelina was traveling with her mother and Grandmother in the Middle East when she was six. They came upon a young poor girl weighing people for money in the streets. She was barefoot, her feet were scarred and it was cold. Angelina felt compelled to talk to the girl. She struck up a conversation with the girl. Angelina ended up taking the shoes off her feet and gave them to the girl. Angelina wrote a book about the encounter when she was 9. She signed with Republic Records in 2020. Angelina now lives in LA. Her Uncle Michael is her manager. Her Grandmother Mery is her mentor. Her mother is Sara and her little sister is Juliette.

Angelina won Norwegian Talents (NGT), when she was 8 years old. Before she participated in AGT at 13 yo, she performed and sang on lots of scenes around our world! Most of these were for charity. She has appeared in front of 40,000 in Soul! When Quincy Jones celebrated his 85th birthday, he asked Angelina to open the concert with "Fly me to the moon"! Etc. .. However, she performed very little in the United States. Participating in AGT was a way to market her in the United States.

Sir, yes 13 years of age seem not much, but when you started singing at age 18 months, went to the music academy from age 4, won NGT at age almost 8 and helped Norah Jones out at the age of 11 with a fundraiser in Seoul, Korea where a audience of 40,000+ cheered you, a mere few thousand at AGT isn´t that much. Heavier were her losses, during AGT her maternal grandpa died. A year before, her paternal grandpa died, her good friend Amici kill himself and just before that another friend did the same. Angelina enters a happy zone when she performs and doesn’t ever seem to suffer from nerves. She goes in a capella and it is amazing. I can’t remember a video where she is not enjoying herself. I agree as soon as she starts, she sucks everybody in and captivates them and blows jury and audience away with her performance. This cover of her is simply exceptional, for the ability she had to reread without distorting it, such an iconic song and for the depth of her interpretation, at only 13 years old! This is a splendid example of Angelina's work. Often with Angelina one is so fascinated by her voice, by "her great breath control" and by her splendid technique, that one does not fully appreciate her amazing intelligence and musical sense through which she absorbs and transforms, in her interpretations, the great songs that she loves so much. It's as if you were a glass craftsman, who takes an object, heats it and remodels it, keeping the material intact, but giving it a new shape and a new color. We all worry about the vultures in the music industry, but her family has her well protected & her record label & producers are all on board with protecting her. I think that's one of the reasons she picked Republic Records after turning down so many other labels that had been trying to sign her since she was 8 yo. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.

Not only did she write this song at 14 years old, but it was in memory of her Grandfather who had just died. it will just melt your heart. There's a reason she barefoot when she was six she gave the shoes she had on to an orphan girl weighing people on the street who didn't have any and vowed not to wear shoes while performing until all children had shoes. Since then she kept her word. She has raised millions of Euros for charity for children's causes. Youngest Author in Norway wrote a book about the experience at 9 yrs old (some of the proceeds go to children's charities) won Norway got talent and gave All the proceeds to charity. Don't worry about the Industry sharks they've been trying to sign her since she won Norway got talent her people even turned down Disney. She has a support group around her mother father grandma and uncle Michael her manager, she signed with Republic records when she was 14 with the understanding that no push until after she graduates from school. (Currently her salary is only 400,000 annually) but those people who check into that stuff say she worth about 9 million not bad for a 16 yes. Money has never entered the equation her grandma is world renowned Artist (child prodigy herself) when you have your entire family behind you and supporting you enough to move to a foreign country the love in that family is a guide for all families.

Why Angelina always performs barefoot♥👣 At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Who would even attempt to rearrange a song that is considered untouchable because of Freddie's 'immaculate conception' arrangement? Here, we have a young girl who gives the song the respect it deserves but presents it in a totally original way that even had Simon stunned, that she composed herself. If you think about it, this was mind boggling to put it mildly.

There really isn’t much to say. I’ve listened to this performance hundreds of times-and it still makes me react both emotionally and physically everytime. I think it’s the best live performance I’ve ever seen. And add to that, Angelina arranged it herself-and she’s 13 years old. People throw around the word genius too much, but she is a musical genius. And you’ll see that as you watch her in many other genres just making you shake your head and wonder how anyone so young can be so incredibly talented.
