This video will help you choose the right size outdoor lighting for your outdoor space. Shop outdoor lighting at Lamps Plus: www.lampsplus.com/products/ou...
If you have space for only one light, choose one that’s about one-third the height of the door.
If you have room for two lights, choose fixtures that are at least one-fourth the height of the door.
If you have double doors, the fixtures can be a little larger than one-fourth of the door height.

When choosing hanging lights, choose a design that is in proportion to the dimensions of the covered porch or patio.
Make sure your space is tall enough to accommodate a hanging light. If you have a larger space, consider multiple fixtures.
For spaces that can't accommodate hanging lights, ceiling mounted lights are a great solution.

How such a light fixtures be accommodated if at one end we have slider door.so could we put light fixtures at both end equivalent to the distance of slider door rollers?

Hi - well, one idea is that you could opt to place the lights above the slider doors, which might work if the lights have enough of an extension from the wall to hang down out of the way of the doors. If you contact out design team they can consult with you and come up with some other ideas based on your installation needs. Thank you for the question.

Wow. How much distance can be kept between door frame and light?

Hi - it depends on the size of the light's wallplate, and on the placement of your electrical boxes, but you probably want a couple of inches between the light's wallplate and the door frame. This will give you easy access to the light as well as offering a good visual look. Thank you for the question.

I am having trouble finding anything about mounted wall lights that are above the front door. I suppose if it is one it should still be ⅓

Wall lights installed directly above a front door are not quite as common. 1/3 the size of the door, or smaller, is still a good metric, but your options may be constrained by the space between the top of the door and the roof/ceiling.
