I have passed this building hundreds of times. Even when it was still the library, I used to daydream about owning it. I am so impressed with what they are achieving.

Running the hot water that far will be very inefficient, take a looong time to get hot water through. Why not just put a tankless water heater onto the location?

Because indoor plumbing is a relatively new thing in the scheme of things. Especially on an estate of this age that has been unoccupied for as long as it has.
