Outer Wilds - Full Game Gameplay Walkthrough End of Base Game Cinematic Treat!
We've just finished the base game (about to start the DLC) and I enjoyed the game so much. I took a moment to fly around and enjoy this beautifully crafted world packed full of secrets.
If you have 5 minutes, maybe... Just maybe this will spark the same feelings you had on your first play through too.
It's spoiler free for anybody to enjoy, with some subtle nods to those in the know.

Outer Wilds is a 2019 action-adventure game developed by Mobius Digital and published by Annapurna Interactive. It first released for Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 before releasing for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2022. A Nintendo Switch version is also under development.
Outer Wilds features an unnamed player character exploring a solar system that is stuck in a time loop, going back 22 minutes before its star goes supernova. The player is encouraged to learn why by exploring and uncovering secrets of an extinct race known as the Nomai, who previously colonized the solar system hundreds of thousands of years ago.

Ugh. Yup. That's... About the shape of it, isn't it? Feels weird, watching this with that cinematic camera smoothness, deliberately chosen shots. It feels so familiar, but... Like I'm seeing my own house through somebody else's eyes. I guess I am. Goddamn... It's weird, you know. It's a game that you only "play" once, but you keep finding new ways to relive it, new ways to look at it, and the lessons in it, and what lessons were there that you just never saw before. It is a game that, weirdly, seems to reward near infinite, fractal scrutiny, despite being very deliberately and carefully finite and fairly simple in scope. I could go on... You know I could go on forever. I'll leave it there. Thank you for this lovely little piece.

@@onaeD Thanks man :) I make it a personal mission to try and make the internet a calmer and more interesting place, instead of falling into frustration, bitterness, and first-stage nihilism. And I deeply appreciate all the people who enjoy that :3 The flipside to that is that I'll often not comment, or scrap an already written comment when I realize I'm not adding much. Which is why I don't tend to comment on every video - I save that for when something REALLY gets my gears turning, and the comment practically writes itself before I can stop it. Hmm. Maybe it’s linked to my channel being relatively new and small? I’m so happy you’ve found and are enjoying it though! I did a blind play through, and I went in not respecting the depth of this masterpiece. As I played more… I grew to understand and appreciate what Outer Wilds is. I felt like I had to make this, to show my new found respect 😅

Great fan trailer! Really inspiring and you really captured the awe and majesty of the game. Maybe place a nod to Andrew Prahlow in the description for composing that music? Arguably the game would not be what it is without him.

At 2:11 there’s no way you didn’t hit that. I am a master pilot (maybe even rivaling feldspar) so I know what does and does not hit the ship. The right thruster definitely caught on the ice. I do tricks for fun in this game now that I’ve replayed it over 200 times now.
