Used this two weeks ago and so far no probs. The only grinding i did was a few little spurs on the spoke nipples. 5mins with a dremmel. Iam very pleased.
Yes my rim has the grove. The bike is a F800 GSA and was already fitted with tubeless tyres, When you order the kit its bike specific for your wheel size.
What about when I have a large Excel alu nipples? Which heads protrude about 5 mm off the rim? In the video nipples heads are dubbed - 0:04. Do I have to grind them to put the tape evenly?
Hi, I am from Kolkata, India! I own a Royal Enfield motorcycle with spokes and want to make it a tubeless with this outed but where I could get this kit in India or from other countries through online order? thanks!
Flatus Antiquitous No, you're wrong. I'm a sheet metal worker and when you layout on aluminum, unlike galvanized or stainless steel, you always use a pencil or marker and never a scribe as that could lead to fractures or complete breakage.
@Flatus Antiquitous Ignore me, I've only been an Aircraft Engineer for 40-odd years, I obviously don't know what I'm talking about. dspace.lib.cranfield.ac.uk/handle/1826/7895
This can not work as the first green sealing tape was full of wrinkles. It will start to leak sooner or later leaving you stuck on the side of the road far from home.
There is no bead for the tubeless tire to grip on a tubed rim. So when it goes flat the bead is broken and you go down. Much safer to go with a relaced tubeless rim. Just saying
Could been a lot more informative with a description of what they were doing instead of the annoying music. Why do so many youtube clips have shit music ,is it idleness perhaps .
