Do Outex make anti-puncture sealant to sit in the tire itself to prevent punctures or if not, do they recommend a particular sealant that works with their tape OK?
Goop, you mean silicone on the inside of the spokes plus tape on top of it? That is a safer method, and you don't see it so who cares what it looks like.
nice system but you can do it yourself if want to source the parts separately 3m 4411 sealing tape plus through hull 3m marine adhesive 5200, and aftermarket small valve stems.
i started looking into this, but to be honest, i ound the kit specific to my wheels on ebay sold by outex themselves, and it costs a lot less, considering that i would have to buy 2 diferent rolls of m sealing tape to accomodate the 2 different wheel withs and they go fo about 80 euros eatch , you are still missing the spoke protection patches and the valves , the kit costs about 130 shipped to my door
A dab of silicone on top of each spoke from local hardware . 24 hours cured = rock solid/waterproof Wonder if centrifical force from spinning wheel cause tape to leak???
seems like the tape was there in case you accidentally misalign the sticky tape. you can pull it back and try again because at least the edges won't be sticking to the rim yet
@@andrewcannon587 yeah, to many creative idea in here, but i not recomended to using this method for bike with 500cc or up engine, because big power from engine maybe can make too high pressure n temperature in tyres and i not sure this modified can working good with 500cc or up engine, maybe better you pay more bro, but you can save your life...hahaha..
@@budisetiawan5677 Yah, you guys are creative, i love watching indonesian badminton pro players (taukfik, setiwan, kido, ginting) , their play are more creative. Just from that video i saw the guy using a cut hose as rim protector, cool idea. :D
Mano é só colocar a fita dupla face da 3M 2 vezes e uma fita silver tape, mais uma câmara de ar de Biz vasilina e cortar a rebarba e vacina de pneu, na minha Ténéré ficou top.
Tube tires on new motorcycles shouldn’t even exist today, any more then having front drum brakes. When was the last time, a new car came equipped with tire tubes?
This looks like a bad idea to me! You get a leak down the road and then you have to wonder if it's your tire valve, tire or the sealing tape! Doesn't seem like a good long term solution to me but.....
over fussy do as use mountain bikers do - a suitable width of gorilla tape and chuck in some tyre sealant which will help seal punctures as you are going along then when you come to renew your worn out tyres count the thorn etc that could have ruined your days out
