Approx 2004 I had outBack build my TurboBug engine for my SEMA Car. It was the Start that John, Lance, Jermaine, Max and Crew began doing VW Bug Engines.. Great Guys....
This was quite informative, Phillip. I have been gifted a Bradley GT (possibly a GT II - I haven't seen it yet) that I've been told needs a engine. This provides me with potential alternatives to the VW engine I suspect is in it. Thank you for the video!
very good vid...I will look foward to doing business with the company in the near future of my Subaru vw project...I wana keep it simple with a 2.5l ej25 with a rebuild kit to a beefy vw trans...im shure outfront will be the helpful solution on my swap
Wow Dude Looks Just Like Peter Boyle.. i just wanna know if i already have the basic 2 liter, what the cost is for everything else to make drive down the road, you should put kits together at different levels of performance like basic put in and go, and stage two and 3 for top kit, i just want the reliability and to use the A/C here in Vegas, oh and whats to strong for stock 72 irs?
The EJ25 turbo is a lot of power and requires a transmission to handle to power. if you can afford the mod and are willing to do enough cutting to the beetle its great.
Phillip Cooke how much money did you think I need for engine and transmission, cuz I want around 200 hp Or if I use the stock vw transmission wat engine is better and reliable. I’m sorry cuz I’m asking a lot of questions
200hp is the max for a stock VW transmission. I think the best budget friendly combo would be a pro street freeway flyer transmission and ej205T. will easily be 200 to 260hp and run you about $3000 if you do the work yourself or shop around.
Phillip Cooke thanks. For that engine EJ 205 t. What did you think is the best and affordable way to get the engine? Sorry for asking a lot of questions. Cuz vw bug is my favorite car, and those engine I don’t know almost anything.
Easiest would be to find the connectors and go to Outfront and have them do a custom ecu and wireharness but its not cheap. I used the original harness and ecu and had it built at Subistuff for $500.
"dontr eally use part numbers" HUH?? To ME that translates to "Yes OFCOURSE we have part numbers ...DUHH....but we DO NOT want you shopping around" ...right?
