I've seen roughly 20 movies/series of all different genres and while I've enjoyed them all tremendously, OUTLANDER (1-5 so far) stands out as the one series I have re-watched a few times. It is so substantive that I've caught so many things I've missed the first go-round. LOVE IT!!

While you wait, you can read the first five books. I've done it. Oh! And now I'm watching The Nevers, which by the way, has some actors and actresses that appear in Outlander, starring with Laura Donnelly (Jenny Fraser Murray) she plays the lead in this show.

@@circe8912 Hi! Well, I read the first five books, twice (well, expect the fifth, I've read it once now, I'll read it again). And I won't read any more books until the sixth season is done, I don't wanna go ahead of the show, 'cause if they change something or don't add a small thing, this way the book is complementary, and if I don't go ahead I don't get disappointed, just like I did with the last movies of the Hunger Games, the ones based on the Mockingjay book, I didn'tlike those movies, I created some expectations and I didn't like the result. So, I recommend watching the shoe first and then reading the books.

By catching wild horses and then eventually those get bred so they have more. To this day many horses still exist in the wild. Tho in real life the wild horses wouldn't be as tame as they are in the show of course

The author Gabaldon said she wasn't sold on Sam at first because : 1. Some of his press photos were odd looking...HUH??... surely she jests because I see nothing odd looking about Sam. He is 100% beefcake...Eye candy. 2. Galbadon said she was thinking of her husband when she modeled Jamie. I hope she meant personality wise because her husband is Eyepatch candy. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I cannot behold anything good-looking about him. I am sure he has a wonderful personality, an inner beauty counts more than outer.

To write the most delicious books in the world DG has got to be feeling every word she puts down on paper what a beautiful woman inside and outside again when DG first met Sam he wasn’t as passionate as Diane was feeling in her heart? I believe Sam caught on quick cuZ she changed her opinion quick ha! Like Jamie told Claire “if a Scot is what he (Gov. Tryon) wants then a Scot is what he will get!!” When Jamie put on his full Scottish attire I melted 😍😍🤪🤪

Diana Gabaldon’s husband is a very tall redhead (before he lost his hair) with blue eyes and a long nose. I’m sure to her he was the “King of Men”, and that’s who she modeled Jamie after. Of course, he’s older now and looks different.

Well, Sam Heughan seems totaly different than his caracter. Seeing this blond man in the streets or through his other work, I don't think I would be as much taken or thinking about him as the perfect Scotish heartthrop. We would also not be on the receiving end of those smoldering looks. His hole body language and mimic is different. I totaly understand the writers first impression, but he nailed that role.

@@marshabass7792 yes and the shyness and vulnerability Jamie sometimes is portraying makes me want to kiss him realy bad, then Claire does it, grabs his hand or whatever and I'm happy. They are realy perfect and support each other most of the time. He is strong, but human, that's what I love the most. All things and qualities we wont know about Sam Heughan and why should we? He sure seems nice though, the way he treats is fans - have heard nothing bad. I think he is also one of the very, very few actors that are looking better a bit disheveled, than groomed.

And his manly voice with that irresistible Scotish accent! His "ocean eyes", with that deep blue, embracing regard of his. But it is his integrity and willingness to give all of himself that make him so unique! The "sex in the stable"scene was a stinker! The coal black horse (Lucas) stands in a stall painted black. The only time I saw him was when his eye twinkled . Bad set design there. But Jamie and Claire were perfect...as usual!

Sam was 35 or so, not 50, and a seasoned actor-so he could (and did) handle the role much better than a 22-year-old actor. Also, he looks younger than his years.

Caitriona speaks Gaelic, but not Scottish Gaelic, the Irish one instead. Those are quite different. Oh! And speaking about Outlander, I recently started watching The Nevers, starting Laura Donnelly, who plays Jenny Fraser Murray in Outlander. And, not just her, so far, I've seen a couple of episodes and I've recognized two more people from Outlander, I don't know the name of the actors or their characters in The Nevers, but I do know their name characters in Outlander, those are: Lord Dunsany (3x04), which I recognized for the vocie, and Margaret Campbell (3x07, 3x12 and 3×13, just for a second, in front of a door. And counting, I'm pretty sure I'll recognize more.

It unfortunately happens to woman who have really have dark hair. And guys with lighter hair. My mom who is Latina started getting grey in her 30’s. My dad who is Jewish lighter brown started getting it in his late 40’s. Same with my husband and I. I have really dark hair. I’m in my 30’s and started getting grey hair. My husband is blonde he is 40 now and has no grey hair at all, or can’t really see it.

I appreciate she doesn’t like them changing her books, but She needs to stick to writing and let the movie pros do their thing. Thank God she didn’t get her way w hating Sam.
