Awesome and gorgeous ! What an amazing landscape, and the ATVs with the tracks, amazing ! Perfect weather, fresh snow, no tracks, love it ! Nice adventure !
I gotta tell you my swivel office chair is nearly worn out, with going through those trees and up and down the hills. Man, what snow ! I don't have tracks on my CanAm Outback 500,,, but this is surely a great advertisement for them, ( track system I mean ) and the CanAM Outback 1000's ability to 'break' trails. Great ride,.thanks so much for taking me along !!! Cheers.
Reg Sparkes LOL We had a great time out riding in the deep snow...there were a few times we weren't sure if we were going to make it but the Can Am was impressive. The tracks turn the ATV's into little tanks and let us go places in the winter we normally could never go. Glad you enjoyed the ride and thanks for watching!
I love watching these old videos. Especially seeing all that snow from the comfort of summer and my air conditioning. If i get cold watching the winter weather, I can just go outside. LoL ----- Watching that part where Cubbee cut through the snow, then the Arctic Cat followed, and CK went last on the grizz. I can't help but notice.. I think that the Grizz hanled it the best. This maybe because Cub cut the trail, and they were riding 2-up. But you cannot doubt the ability of a nice Grizz. Those bikes are TANKS!! The Day Yamaha comes out with a Grizzly sporting a V-Twin engine, My polaris 850 will be lonnnnnnnnnnnng gone!!! I used to have a Grizzly 660 but wanted somethign with a Twin cylinder in it, for more power. But I didn't want to go with a 1K and spend the bank on it. Polaris hooked me UP with an 850 , Plow, Winch the whole 9 for less than what a normal 450 cost because it was when they switched styling between the 16/17 model years. So I got the 16 at HUGE discount.
Still photos at the end made me think back to TV shows on Public TV here in the lower 48... this video is worthy of a broadcast TV show.........great job!!!!
Definitely one of my favorite videos to watch over and over again. Cubbee Falls looks amazing! All the better when you have such an excellent riding crew to enjoy the day with together.
Cubbee Falls is one of our favourite places to visit..usually end up going there once in the summer and once in the winter...the falls aren't huge, but still pretty cool! Thanks for stopping by.
Great video Cubbee the best yet had a little deja vu there a couple of times.Hey you do know every time someone say's Deep and angel get's it's wings well I guess there's a whole lot of them on your behalf LOL. we really enjoyed the ride along there with Team Mudpro made it rather interesting hope they had as much fun as We did watching and as for you mic your voices sounded fine I did hear someone echoing a couple of times but it all sounded great to us. Love the video and hope to see you again real soon keep up the great wheelies I mean great work
any Caliber Thanks very much for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed the ride, and could hear us ok with the sound issues. We're going to have to say DEEP even more now LOL
Without using the 'D' word, that's an extensive amount of snow you've got. It's great that the ATVs can still go just about anywhere, regardless of 'how far the ground is from the top of the snow'. Can Am seems to break trail mighty fine. Warmer days are on their way. Thanks for sharing!
Boeing767Driver Thanks for watching! Our snow has melted quite a bit but still lots of it around...not as D**P as in this video though LOL Here's hoping spring is around the corner.
That looks like so much fun !! Dang, I miss going tracking already !! Yup, some good depth to the snow you're tracking in ... was it DEEP too !?!? HAHAHAHAHA !!! What a great day of tracking !! Man I hate sugar snow ... always going to the bottom & no real traction to be had. Love that section at the 16 minute mark ... YEAH BUDDY !!! I'm thinking CK is lik'in that tracked Grizzly ... she does well on it too !! MudPro Man did good on that long steep hill ... WOO HOO !! Outstanding that you man it to Cubbee Falls ... what a great tracking adventure Guys !! Thanks for shar'in !!
GunnyE9 We had a great day out riding, and didn't get stuck so that is always a bonus! For most of our winter our snow is always like sugar and you're right...no traction at all! The 16 minute mark was a great stretch...clear sailing, no worries of stumps or rocks as we were familiar with the trail. It helped I could stay in the Can Am's and Arctic Cat's tracks...after a few tracking adventures I was starting to get the hang of it. Sometimes I forget I had tracks on LOL Thanks for stopping by and watching Gunny!
Wow! Looks like you gave those tracks a great workout. I didn't realize you guys still had that much snow here riding in the interlake area of Manitoba snows gone. We were able to drive our quads pretty much anywhere around here on wheels all winter long for a change. Great video Thanks Harv
Harry Witt Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video. By the end of the season we did have quite a bit of snow and the drifts were nasty! Wouldn't have been able to go far with tires this winter.
Great video. Tracks on ATV's and UTV's allow for access to areas not accessible by wheel and tires. Not sure why you didn't use that chain saw a few times to clean up the blow downs over the trails......
Palomino488 Thanks for checking out the video Palomino. We really weren't sure we were going to make it up the hill and between the tight trees, so pretty happy when we did! Glad you enjoyed the ride.
Tracking is lots of fun, especially in the fresh deep snow! It has been so cold here since we got ours installed we've hardly been out. Happy Trails and thanks for stopping by!
Beauty Day !!! You guys have lots of snow too, Moncton NB we have 475cm (15 feet) of snow !!! Your video got me in a good mood to head out on my bike today (no tracks) but we have groomed ATV trails. so expect a video hopefully tonight. Love the sound of the new Can Am ! and that things a Beast ! tell CX I Still love the Grizzly though ! haha Thanks for sharing ! - Maritimer.
Maritimer That is unbelievable....15' of snow...insane!!! Glad you got out for a ride...we felt like you do last winter and thought it would never end...it did..finally! Here's to hoping you get warmer weather and no more snow! The Can Am really performs well with the tracks on, that added power is really nice. I'm getting used to the Grizzly more every time I ride it and looking forward to getting out on it this summer and exploring. Thanks for watching!
haha thanks for the kind words, hopefully winters over soon haha Oh yeah I bet the power difference in the Can Am and Grizzly are huge, I can definitely notice it. Grizzly keeps on trucking though, mine still works great ! thanks for sharing !
Awesome ride Cubbee! Loved it! Your headset/sound system really works good. Sounded awesome! Did I hear you say Canned Ham at 3:24? lol Loved that trail you were on in the first half! I just can't believe how those things sit up on top of that DEEP light snow. Sooo incredible! WOW, tons of squatch tracks - lol Nice slide show at the end. Looked like you guys had an excellent day. Nice! Thanx for sharin'!
quaddingsous Thanks very much for stopping by and checking out the video. The SMH10s have been working great, too bad I knocked the mic out of the way! Yes, Canned Ham did come out of my mouth LOL The tracks were impressive in our sugary snow...and those Squatchy looking tracks added to the adventure LOL It was a great time out riding for sure!
Wow! The snow really looked "cavernous" (another word for deep)! I was very impressed by how well the tracks worked for you. Also, sure seems like pretty good steering on the Can Am. Thanks for yet another great video I could sit in front of the fireplace and watch!
Curt Alphenaar Ah, another word for DEEP..that's good! Thanks! Yes the tacks worked great...we were in some very deep sugary snow and they handled it no problem! The Can Am is very easy to steer, impressive. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
Great ride! Deep snow that is, lots of squash tracks down your way! Here on the east coast N.-B. there is to much salt water for squash to be. Thanks for sharing.
great video, thanks for posting. I'm on my 5th year with my 4s tatous. on a 700 grizzly, absolutely love em. zero issues. cheers from North of sudbury, on.
Another great video. Beautiful location!! ( that was NJ right ?? ha ha ) Hay CK, you starting to like the Grizz ?? Keep having fun & thanks for letting us share it with ya !!
Capt Alex Thanks for checking out the video! Yes, I'm starting to get a bit more comfortable with the Grizzly...it has such a comfy seat LOL Thanks for enjoying our adventures!
+meatybeatybignbouncy We always have a great time out riding, especially playing in the snow. The tracks enable you to explore when the snow is deep. Thanks very much for watching.
hey, had to watch the video again, had to confirm that it is the best ATV video on youtube, yup IT IS!, thanks for all the work and sharing. Rhino Rider
Great video, Id love to get tracks for my grrrriiiizzzzlllaaaayyyy but we don't get enough snow down here in St Thomas to justify that quite yet. Looks like alot of fun though.
Thanks for a well-produced video. It was both entertaining and educational. I was interested to see you being willing to spin the tracks a little to grind your way up the hill. In my limited experience, and on steep terrain, that's asking to get high centered. You obviously have developed a feel for exactly when to back off. It's usually hard to get a video to give a sense of how steep a trail is, but your shots from the trailing machine really make a difference. This is the first of your videos I've seen. Have you produced any Beginners' Guides to tracked ATVs? We need something like that because too many people are reluctant to spend the money on tracks until they have a bit of an understanding what it is all about. I was very fortunate to have a friend lend me a tracked machine - without that experience there's no way I'd have made that big an investment.
Thanks very much for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the video. We have a tracking 'playlist' which shows how much fun we have with the tracks. We often get asked what we think of the tracks but haven't actually made a video speaking specifically about them. Our winters are so long that having tracks lets us use our ATV's all year round. Happy Trails!
Hey. Been watching your videos of you guys on the snow, Where do you live ?? We're trying to move to Idaho ASAP and its killing me inside cause i want to Get there SO BAD !! We have CanAm Outlander ATV, Enduro Motorcycles Range Rover Classics, And we LOVE Trailing Outdoors. Wherever you are, It's BEAUTIFUL. You make the wait to move much harder for me, Because you're doing what I wanna do already !! We plan to do some traveling to different areas to go trailing. Might just run into you guys one day !!. You're videos are all great. Thx for sharing. Have Fun And keep em coming.. Repo Dan..
We live and ride in Northwestern Ontario in Canada. Most of our area is public land so we are fortunate to be able to explore so much area. We have winter usually from late November to late April (some years shorter - some longer!) The snow is fun to play in though. Thanks for checking out our channel, we appreciate it. Good luck with your move and Happy Trails!
Thank you for sharing your adventure with me. Your his and hers audio mix was great. Very well done. What kind of helmet audio system are you using. I need some of that. Also on the Yamaha, I noticed you had different tracks on the rear versus the front. What Brand and model are they. I came to your video because I was researching which types/brand of tracks I wanted to buy, so any info from you would be very helpful to me. I just found your links in the description. I will check them all out. thanks
Hi! We have been using SENA bluetooth helmet communicators now for a number of years and highly recommend them. You can purchase them here We got our SENA 10C - Camera and Communicator here: tinyurl.com/jp64fux We got our SENA SMH10 Bluetooth Helmet Communicator here: tinyurl.com/jkt7cnl We have Commander WS4 tracks on our ATV's and have been really happy with them. They are wider and seem a bit easier to steer than the Tatou's we had originally. Hope this helps and good luck. thanks for watching!
I like the video cubby I hope this was fun I wish we had this much snow so I could get tracks it took a bit to get up the hills I started to lol wean I saw you back and forth your friend and fan mark
+Mark Paez Jr Glad you enjoyed the video. We had a lot of snow by the time this video was taken. Our snow is very "sugary" too as it gets so cold so it doesn't pack at all!
clausclan Thanks very much for checking out the video. The Can Am vtwin does sound really nice! No issues at all with overheating...and I was pushing snow with the front bumper in places.
Awesome video guys looks so fun I watched the whole thing lol. I need to get some tracks now thanks alot :p what size is the can am and where are these trails??
How would you compare using tracks to just using your sleds? Obviously not as fast, but what about capability? How much more gas do you use compared to summer tires with that gear reduction and added weight?
witkr904 Kind of like a utility sled that would be used in deep snow..top speed isn't important, but going through the deep stuff is. The ATV's don't have the acceleration a sled would, but they allow you to go slower in REALLY deep snow! We haven't really gone on any long rides with them..they do use more gas for sure, but so far no issues with even coming close to running out. Longer rides you probably would want to carry extra gas, but so far so good! Hope that helps!
Cubbee, I have a question for you. How do you load vids to this youtube and especially the faster moving vids not be washed out. Mine look Horrible compared to what they look like in editing. I usually use Mpeg 1080p..just blurs out in spots, my newest dirt bike vid this shows up bad, any advice would be awesome. Thanks
liquidktm We notice that our videos will "pixel" too when there is fast motion and lots of detail (leaves/grass). They look awesome before we upload them but with all the compression that happens, they must get degraded somewhat. We record in 1080p 60fps...edit them in 30fps and upload in 30fps..might try some different settings this summer though. I use Final Cut Pro X for the mac to edit.
Thanks Cubbee for the info, I will try out a few settings. Your vids always look great and quality. on youtube, I bet they are crisp right off your Mac.,
+Capt Alex It has been a fairly mild winter and to be honest we haven't been out riding much so no, haven't tried any Gerbing heated gear yet. Do have Thermacell insoles and they have been keeping my feet toasty warm! Thanks for watching.
hey I really enjoy your videos I was wondering how and what equipment you guys yous to make your videos. how do you get your headsets audio to be part of your video. I want to get a set up like yours. thanks in advance and keep the videos coming
Thanks for watching! We are still using GoPro Hero 3 Black cameras and we use SENA bluetooth helmet communicators to talk to each other. SENA makes an audio backpack which attaches to one of the GoPros and it records our conversations..makes editing so much easier. You can check out the links in our video description or www.sena.com Hope that helps!
Bridges...you don't need no stinkin bridges! LOL! I don't know about you but I've had enough of snow...and it's forecasted to snow tomorrow!! Get your ice climbing gear out and try cubbee falls!
Rob Farrow LOL We're supposed to get 10 cm tomorrow and so not looking forward to it! Bring on summer. Hey...would could ice climb Cubbee falls couldn't we..only 10 feet tall though...we're such rookies LOL thanks for watching.
+Capt Alex Thanks! I guess depends on where you purchase them, but here is a link to the Kimpex catalogue that gives you an idea...catalogues.kimpex.com/atv/2016/en-ca/#165/z
We have only had tracks on ATV's with power steering so not sure...sometimes in really deep snow they can be hard to steer with power steering so I would guess they could be hard to turn without power steering. Any viewers out there have tracks and no power steering?
+Prominecraft7 i did but they dont have the profit the the grizzly anyway i bought it anyways and now i was wondering how can i change the mph to km/h ?
+Cam Trathen We use ours in one button mode so the battery usually lasts us a whole ride (5-6 hours) but we only turn it on to record. We also carry spare batteries with us.
We use SENA Bluetooth helmet communicators and love them! Easy to use, great battery life and really good sound quality. There is a link to our "gear" in the video description or you can check them out at www.sena.com
Matthew B No, bears are hibernating in the winter so don't have to worry about them. In the summer we do carry bear spray. Have come across the odd bear in the summer, and so far they are running fast away from us!
***** well cubbeezx ... you wont believed this .. the bear are out and I can prove it to you and it happen not to far from my town .. it in new Sudbury .. it post on facebook about 1 week ago .. I know it kind of weird the bear are out but its true
+bern trailboss grizzley dont hibernate in yellowstone park anymore due to wolf kills.. eat all winter. id totally have a gun we have mountain lion near us in colorado you can see their tracks. big too like 200 lb plus.
Kyle Luedee you should be able to get a good used atv for that amount Kyle. Well maintained is good along with 4x4 if you plan on any mud or snow. We've only ever had Honda/Yamaha in the past so can only speak about them and they've always been very reliable. Buy the biggest you can afford. Hope that helps.
OFFROAD2019 Grassman, Drifter and Ricky Bobby don't have tracks so they don't go riding in the winter. Team Mud Pro came with us in the fall and he also happens to have tracks!
a sled is much better in powder and especially on hills but on flat ground and snow that has either been wind blown or gone through a thaw and freeze cycle so it is hard on top the wheeler is a lot of fun we used too have the same problem back in the 70’s with our Honda atc 90 three wheeler on crusty snow or hard packed drifts it worked great at least the three wheeler was light enough if it broke through or high centered you could lift it and move it
