Yamaha Grizzly And Kodiak Explore The Wet ATV Trail Into Nasen Lake - June 1 2014

Still lots of rides to catch up on from the summer. This one was from June 1.
We didn't realize the trail into Nasen Lake was going to be this wet. Fortunately we didn't encounter too many problems, except for the bugs!
WHEELIE!!!!!!!!

Nothin' like a cool breeze on a hot day. When I was in Thailand, it was 32*, with 90% humidity, and no wind every day! I would sweat just standing still in the shade! That trail into Nasen Lake was King! Loved it! I'm a thinnin' that first little trail CK found was a trap-line. I watch Mountain Men & the trappers use that same technic (with the logs built up onto the tree) to set traps in. It forces the animal to come toward the bait from only one direction. You probably already knew this, but just thought I'd throw it out there. Awesome bear video at the end! Excellent vid as usual guys! Thanx for sharin'!

quaddingsous OMG...32 with 90% humidity...we would die, no seriously, we would die! The Nasen Lake ride though was hot too, but not that bad. Yes, could have been a trap line...we often see "boxes" in the trees but can't remember if we saw any on this ride. Always cool to see a bear in the wild, and we've seen them in this same spot before. Must be a "bear" hangout LOL thanks very much for watching!

Seems funny to be watch'in this video today, with you guys in T-shirts & it's snow'in & blow'in & the temp being -5.5c outside my window ... the video is kinda mak'in me warm thou ... I might have to run outside in my skivvies to cool down !! HAHAHAHA !! That trail looked awesome ... I'd love to be able to ride a trail like that ... instead of all the rocky terrain I get most times !! That was another nice lake you guys stopped at. Looks so peaceful !! ... THAT BEAR AT THE END WA COOL !! ...What a great day of rid'in and THANKS for shar'in the adventure !!

Yup, -8c and snowing here right now Gunny! Lots of warm weather videos left to make still. It was a pretty good trail, not much action but a good ride! We kinda thought that the bear had cubs too but we couldn't really tell from the video. This bear was in the same spot that we had seen the mother and two cubs up the tree a year earlier. Must be a good spot! lol Glad you like the video and thanks for watching.

Sounds like you didn't have a very great summer and winter never really left. Ours for the most part was cooler and wetter than normal, but we did have a few nice days. It's nice to watch the summer vids when it is snowing/freezing outside! Thanks for watching.

Good ride Cubbee! Sold my grizzly and doing the SXS thing now. Watching this video though, makes me miss the Grizz. Definitely a little more nimble in the bush. Hope you've got a stash of summer videos to get your fans through the cold dark winter that's about to embrace us!

Burrr, Are you serious what weight fluids do you use and is there a warm up period. what kind of heat is used up there. I would turn into a popsicle fast.

liquidktm We keep the same oil in them as summer, 5w 40 synthetic and so far so good. We do let them idle to warm up for a few minutes though. Probably would wait until it warms up to at least -15C...balmy LOL

Great video Cubbee and CK! It was wet for sure! Nice little creek and waterfall there leading into the lake. The bear was cool! Was it eating berries or just passing through? I really like the video clips from CK's Kodiak cam that show the Grizz from the back too. Thanks for the awesome ride!!!

Palomino488 This is a fun ride that has at times quite the challenging terrain. We have seen bears in the exact same spot before, there is a little creek so must be a place they hang out! Kind of like a "bear" hangout LOL thanks for watching.

We did have some squeaking once on the Kodiak and had to take the wheel off to check it out...a teeny tiny rock was stuck/wedged in there! Once we got it out, no more squeak.

The Grizz is a 2011....I know they have done some updates these past few years so would guess the newest model would be the best...with over 8000 km's our Grizz is running just fine!
