Technically they raised/molded other people's children in all their time together. Jamie never got to enjoy the full journey from start to finish, walking away from William must've torn his heart out his chest but he wanted him to have a future. When Brianna and Roger go back to the future they should look into where his descendants and ended up and find her family. Fergus, Marseille, Roger, Ian, Josiah and Keziah, etc.

This character (Jamie) really had a pure heart. He gave no thought to Bonnie being black. He just wanted the experience of raising a child with Claire. Despite being brought up in an all white nation and having full knowledge of the station of black people in America which he well knew was below his. Spectacularly unique character DG created.

Ah, I just love these two soo much!😩❤️ Also the banter they have with one another is just hilarious! That comment about Fergus and Marsali couldn't be more true (she's literally pregnant in every season) 😂

Poor Jamie just wanted to be a Daddy. He latched onto Fergus when he was a child, and married Leary because he liked her children. He should have been the father of seven or eight children of his own but had to make due with Uncle to Jenny and Ian's brood. Claire, on the other hand, would not have survived having Bree in the 1700's so it wouldn't have mattered if she went back to her time or not, Jamie would have been left alone and childless. The way it worked out was best.

Why wouldn’t of Claire survived? Was there a problem with the labor? (Haven’t read the books!)

@@EditorEmily30 They don't give specifics to what the problem is, just that the pregnancy is "dangerous" and they tell her specifically that this one (Bree) should be her only pregnancy because future ones may surely kill her.
