This is how I sauté frozen vegetables. It's just the way I do it, I'm not saying its the only way or the right way, I'm just sharing some tips on how I stay healthy by cooking yummy veggies!
Fresh Vegetables of course are always the best way to go, but thats not always affordable for every meal, or accessible. It's also more nutritious to cook frozen vegetables than to use a fresh vegetable that has sat in your fridge for almost a week.
Stay healthy OutlanderFits!

I never knew how to cook frozen vegetables without making them soggy before. Today I tried your method and my vegetables came out AMAZING. I used a bit of ghee instead of butter (more heat stable) and it was simple and so delicious!

I just made shrimp stir-fry last night. I put the frozen vegetables on high heat, and don't cover because I want some of that crunch. I marinated the shrimp for 30minutes in a ginger/teriyaki sauce beforehand, and then cooked them in a fry pan until pink. Remove, and seperate them. Then I cooked the vegies, and added the shrimp back in. Add a little more sauce to the whole thing, and throw that over rice, or ramen. It was my first time cooking asian, and it turned out great. I'll have to try your way sometime. Happy cooking everyone!

Yep. I did it differently, but still the same. Water, boil off. I used olive oil instead of butter. And I used 1/4 teaspoon of cracked red pepper instead of ground pepper. I also minced my own garlic, because it is cheaper that way(I am stingy with money). I also doubled the portions. Note, for as much as she did in this video, if you choose to use cracked red pepper, use only 1/8 a teaspoon of cracked red pepper.

I can't believe you put the bowl on the burner like that! Lol. I accidently did that once and the plate exploded! Anyway the veggies looked delicious. My hubby bought a huge bag of frozen veggies. I prefer fresh bc I find frozen kinda blah. I'll definitely try this method of cooking them. Thanks!

Thank You! I did it just as you said. They were perfect for us. Dried out the water and fried up Great. The garlic wasn't over powering, just adding good flavor. Didn't need the salt or pepper. Best way I have found for this.

Yum! Thanks for keeping it real! You didn't drench the veggies in anything crazy just added a lil' flavor to make them more appealing and delicious. This is better than eating no veggies at all and avoiding them because they kinda taste gross when they are steamed :P Thanks for the vid!

Thank you for putting frozen veggies back on my grocery list. I got to the point I wasn't eating many veggies anymore due to getting tired of buying fresh every couple days. I loved how these turned out crispy and charred for a great flavor. I think some fried mexican street corn is on the menu tomorrow ;)

Can I use a glass lid instead of the aluminum foil to steam the vegetables?
@vpm7ginnie784
@vpm7ginnie784 2 года назад
I would like to know why you have to cover them if the reason is to evaporate the water should you not keep lid off.
@DJBrianAZ
@DJBrianAZ Год назад
@VPM7 ginnie keeping them covered (glass lid or aluminum foil, both are fine) allows the steam to stay in there to defrost and slightly cook the vegetables before you saute them. She didn't specifically say that in the video but thats what she meant by waiting until the water evaporates before adding the fats(oil spray & butter).

Smart lady. I love your methods. Their ingenious. I love garlic and butter, salt and pepper on veggies. I never thought about the aluminum foil. Question: Could the lid help with the water evaporation? I’m a new cook.

I suggest maybe turn down the heat so you don't burn the butter. I know they're a little pricey but shallots are a great thing to bring some flavor to your dish.
