Outlaw Figure 8 racing is the most exciting form of motorsports, and has fewer crashes than NASCAR. We traveled from Long Island, NY and attended the World Final the past 2 years, and 2 years in a row there were no collisions at the 'X' and over 100 laps of green flag racing to finish the race. We sat to your immediate right both Friday and Saturday nights. Excellent coverage of an outstanding event. Fun to watch again with in-car cameras, other camera angles and listen to your interesting play-by-play call.. Good job! BTW it's my understanding the start/finish line is at the flagman's stand and is marked by cones. Hope to see you there again next year. Thanks for posting!
The point of all racing is to get to the finish line first, and Figure 8 racing is no different. But Figure 8 racing is the only form of motorsports whose track criss-crosses itself, providing added action and excitement. If you don't like Figure 8 you're entitled to your opinion, but why waste your time coming here and posting negative remarks? You're not going to change anyone's mind who likes Figure 8 - certainly not mine. Put your time to better use and GET A LIFE.
I love watching these cars race, but I've gotta be honest. I could NEVER force myself to make a car that looks as nice and expensive as these, just to run a race where the whole object is to purposely put yourself into a situation where you total the car twice per lap...
Ive been around speedway and racing all my life, but unless these things are making passionate love in the middle, Id sooner go outside and watch my grass grow. They have a v8 thats barely flat out anywhere for more than 2-3 seconds. They have an aero kit on them that would make a plane fly, but doesnt get fast enough to have a decent sneeze. Ok, back to my grass.
