The table knew the simic player had a cyc rift yet the other guy praetors grasped for something that was neither a twincast nor a counterspell was definitely a... decision. Definitely felt like everyone was doing their best to hand the game to the simic player

Idk how they couldn't get a counterspell of some kind between the 2 of them when they clearly needed to collude at that point.

Only thing I could think of was he had a landfall creature he wanted to make sure happened but, clearly that wasn't the case, idk felt bad for having the classical disgusting turn 1 or just forgot.
