Great build video! After jumping into WB I was looking into making a build like this, when I saw that overheat could consume dots to do damage, it sounded like the exact kind of build I like to play - I tested a few things with the limited gear I had and couldn't get anything spectacular, just ok. Seeing this is awesome, tested it out with what I had and it's basically on par with my main build which is much better optimized. Knowing mods interact like this makes me excited to mess around with other builds.
Hey Nick I think a Roaring Umbra is also very good since it comes with armor pierce and status power and I managed to get one with firestorm and added Fortress
Oh I've been waiting for this! I was originally going in the Thermal Bomb buff direction, but all that was really doing for me was making an already instant mob clear...well, *more instant*.
I also wondered the same thing, I use trigger sequence because mathematically to me anyways and I’m no mathematician but it seems to me that it does/would equal more damage and more frequently since you are basically constantly using explosive skills.
@@JDxxxxxx you can animation cancel (not quite what it is but the idea is the same idea) a tiny bit faster with thermal than heatwave imo plus it's an interrupt. Heatwave is not. I've been melee killed by things literally jumping through my wall of flames lol.
Thanks for this bud I saw you using it in your other vid and was excited to see what you came up with. I just got my third piece of heatseeker last night and even in an unoptimized setup its wrecking and clearing faster than anything ived used to far. It's too fun and it's got what I loved about the old reload build - I'm constantly on the move.
Man i love how much AP variety pyro has compared to other AP classes. I'm running an eruption spam lava lich setup and absolutely nuking bosses. Debuff with thermal, overheat and then throw out three atomic bombs and any boss dies.
What mods do you have on your armor? I’m taking it you’re swapping one of the mods off for something else. Im using the build he’s talking about and my survivability is awful. Any tips?
@@brandonwhite9191 i copied this whole thing as best I could (don't have the apoc gear or any of the weapon mods I'm only tier 20) and what I ultmately decided was to not take that one 15% resistance node from the top tree and instead use it on the node that's the revive on death on the bottom tree. I can't shoehorn in the resistance piercing/unstoppable force mods yet so I figured I'd wait on it. Yes, my boss damage suffers a bit in comparison to an optimized set up like this can, but that helped me get my first full trials clear.
right now, I am getting flame leper gear to see if I can make it work on pyromancer since the flame leper set doesn't have any class specific requirements
I think it's bc he's stacking the 30% more damage against enemies below 30% health with the 20% you already get in the og skill tree, for a total of 50% more dmg against enemies below 30% health. Pairing it with the heat seeker bonus stacks even more dmg with thermal bomb chains. That's alot of dmg if a boss/elite is at 29.9% health and you one shot them that's millions of health/dmg
Charred Lance has to be the hardest and rarest legendary gun to drop. Me and my friends having be grinding and farming, leveling up. And none of us have gotten it drop. Dam RNG lol. Its the gun I was most excited for when PCF first revealed it a couple months back, cause of the DeathRay mod which is so cool looking and visually pleasing. It reminds me of my favourite Xmen Cyclops. Dream 3 mod weapon set up for me is either DeathRay, Firestorm and Omen all at once or DeathRay, Firestorm and Fortress/Mages rage as you said Nick. But anyways, great AP Pyro Build as always👍. Hope to try this build out in the near future. Right now I’m doing an Eruption build and having so much fun with it 🔥
But can you one tap a brood mother on Apocalypse Tier 23. It's so satisfying Consistently I'd be happy to share my build if anyone's interested It's purely an anomaly based build. Guns are for decoration
Hey Nick, would you change anything with the set up for this build due to the changes made to pyro pax and class tree? swap coming in hot for trigger sequence, or take some cooldown in the class tree maybe? or maybe even take conduction and arsonist (bottom middle Pax path)?

Hope it's not as bad as u previously stated let us kno if there is hope or not. I really wouldn't wanna invest time and resources into a bad class. 😕 love trickster it's also my main. But the dev love tech and pyro.
So you need a non class specific mod to buff another non class specific mod that buffs your anomoly power depending on if you are currently holding a weapon that has both armor pierce and mage's rage and hopefully a useful third mod. Seems both limiting and convoluted having to juggle weapons like that any time you want to use a skill, not to mention that your gear is currently causing you to miss over 200K anomoly power. There are no useful buff timers in the game so you have to swap to your armor pierce weapon that is possibly only used as a stat stick if you ever want to use an ability. Proc the buff, use all your skills, swap back to an actually useful weapon, count for a few seconds and hopefully guess how much time you have remaining on the buff before swapping back to the armor pierce stat stick with the mages rage mod.
Nick can we please get a scorched zealot build from you ? I got every piece but the helmet so far and haven't bothered to try and tinker with it to find a build, rather leave that to the pro ;)

I have an interesting question would if you use anomoly enhancement with this exact set up that would give you 7,200,000 firepower which would be absolutely insane
Ok, finally managed to get the right pcs and now I have the same build and I'm using it. Also don't have purple gear cause it's so damn difficult to get it. Got the better gun :) And build is chaos. It's destroying in-game, expeditions etc... Need to run that boss on trials, so I'll know for that part. The only thing I'm learning and messing sometimes up is the order of skills. Other than that, it's so great and everything just burning and exploding :) Thank you for the build.

Except when is boss during fight sometimes I'm using in a mess overheat first, then ash, then overheat.... need to practice mechanic better, only at boss I'm messing sometimes that order like he said: bomb, one-shot for firestorm, then ash, then 4 crits for mage's rage, then overheat. then bomb for cooldown...etc. for more damage to the boss. but I'm getting better. Started playing the game 10 days ago :)
Do you think Reload Boost would be more effective than going the Thermal Bomb route? If only because TB can waste precious seconds and you can easily die while stuck in the animation, even if it's relatively short. I ask this because before Worldslayer I was running a variation of the Bomber build, only mine had AB and OH rather than AB and TB. Much more streamlined, imo. THAT BEING SAID, I haven't gotten very far into Worldslayer, so I'm only working with the knowledge I have from before the DLC.
So I was missing Phoenix, got it as a third mod on some acari boots. Things felt a lot better... But forgot I was using a reforge helm still with double fun not heat seek helm. So I was missing the set bonus. Overheat hits 45 mil now. So atleast for now it still works just doesn't chain as much. Hunting for a heat helm now smh
I'm starting to think the set bonus might have some issue and is reducing all dmg by 50% not just the following thermal bomb. No way missing Phoenix down makes that huge of a difference, right?
I'm done with pyro I guess....I just can't get any good gear to drop and I can't handle the last boss even in 20. Guess it's back to my techno , at least he can survive
Yeah just make sure to have the best gear and it works fine... But at level 46 I keep getting owned... Can't get the mods ,armor, etc to even get close to making this. Nice build but this game is very frustrating for me now
I feel you. No instant death on my AP trickster but my AP pyro is having problems leeching health. And for some reason i rubber band badly when playing pyro in the traitor boss fight. I'm level 47 and feel like I've hit a dead end. My trickster keeps pushing through
The acari version of this build is exactly what I've been running since I can remember. I just need a gun with armour piercing so I can make use of the extra ap
I just got back to the game after 8 month. I don't understand a thing about getting more power full. My gear with my Pyro is lvl 47/49na'd I can't even complet à lvl 11 expédition. I tried your build but I don't have these gear or half of the mod. My overheat doesn't do a lot of damage and I die quickly. Shouldn't have buy the extenttion as i am about to leave the game again. I don't understand how to get more power full and the connections between mods ans skill. Everything is so messy and not explained
Hey Nick, which character do you think is most suited to use the new Trigger Twitch gear? That it is highly FP focused but unable to take advantage of any of the Rounds skills has me still trying to figure my way through it. And yes, I know such a build is unlikely to dominate times or anything, but it still sounds like a lot of fun running around all gunslinger style.
I’m trying to think of it too, I think trickster is the overall best choice just for close range damage and closing the distance with hunt the prey, tho devastator could provide similar results but just as much if not more tankiness, all depends on your choice
I dont think my opinion matters much but all the FP builds I've tried are just ok I dont think you can really play FP anymore but if you were gonna try and use it I feel like techno is the best
Hmm I don't quite understand, but can someone tell me how exactly to get mages rage? I don't think I've found a single thing that rolled with mages rage on it, was planning to use it on my devastator.
This looks great but idk if I can part with faser beam😭, there’s just something about sniping a grunt for 20 million it’s so unnecessary but hilarious. I have the city of Florida in my right hand
Both are a ton of fun to use! The reason I love this one a little more is because you're really mobile with it. My faser beam setup I felt too much like a sitting duck sometimes and even tho faser has long range sometimes it couldnt hit and repositioning felt really dicey. This one when there's stuff out of my range I hit overheat, and feel confiden to immediately start closing the gap because it's an interrupt and I still have all three skills available, all three of which double as cc skills.
@@samvakarian yea I agree , played a little after commenting . Sometimes the mobbing and aoe just isn’t there and I find it difficult to stay alive , but maybe that’s just misplay but me. Will try this one when I get the pieces
@@itsbdot it's tricky to play if you're not used to it. I was maining the old vr reload rounds build and this feels REALLY similar in playstyle so I Iove it. I don't find mobbing a problem, it's bosses I struggle with but it's manageable just a pain when not using a fully optimized builds. Idk how used to ash blast/overheat you are (and if you are ignore this lol) but one trick is after you hit ash blast wait like a second before you hit overheat. The ash blast has a weird travel time. Also, unless I'm fighting a boss I don't double dip on the overheat, at least immediately. If I'm mobbing, I'll lead with an overheat, then thermal then ash blast then the 2nd overheat. I sometimes I won't lead with the overheat and hold onto it for a little to use as a cc skill. That takes practice because there's no aet time in my head its all quick judgement calls. If you're gonna do that don't sit on it too long it's important to keep the skills in rotation and you always want to be able to end on an overheat, and most importantly, after an ash blast. But in those rare moments where the pax cooldown isn't proccing just use it.
@@samvakarian yea just got some borderline pieces and switched over... it’s not even close . Mobbing is insane on this . And overall survival is a lot better
I watched 3 time your vidéo and still i don't understand how to use ash and overheat, I don't do damage with them at all😂 feel I am too hold for gaming. I mean thé skill description doesn't mention anything yiu are explaining... Basically it just said overheat does x damage and ash just stun. I really don't get it
Thanks, Nick. But, that is not the best Pyromancer. There is a build that is actually glitched, and that is using the Pax tree for Explosions, use the Lava Lich armor. If you max out Eruption the right way, you do 3 to 4 million damage every 5 to 6 seconds. Since I figured out that build, I have not been beat in total damage in the end game.
@@forsakenseraphim I say "glitched" because to me, it's over powered. If you correctly mod out "Feed the Flames", "Overheat", and "Eruption", you are doing 5-9 million in damage to a boss every 6 seconds. I out-damage Tricksters who are several levels ahead of me in Ascention points and armor ratings - that should not be the case.
The game just came out and you already have everything and level 71. I don't see how that is even possible unless you grind 24hrs a day or the developers handing you all the gear off the bat so you can make videos about it.
@@NickTew Even if u played the game 1 week early, how is it possible you reached level 71 that quickly with all this gear? Are you grinding 15hrs a day or something?
