The nightly live Hawaiian music at the Kani Ka Pila Grille is ALWAYS fantastic, and the food and drinks are amazing. I can't say enough about the ocean front room. Book it if you can, it's worth every penny. I sit on that balcony every single night with a glass of wine and just breathe that salty sea air, and let the sound of the waves relax every part of my body.

Does the pool area get cold as it’s shaded by the high rise buildings ?

This would really depend on the daily temps. On warm days, the shade will be a welcome relief. On cooler days, yes, the shaded areas will be more chilly. Please reach out if you'd like more information on this beautiful resort and assist you with your Hawaii vacation plans!
