The world is due for another Outrun. Such a wonderful formula; joyous driving through a beautiful, hyper-idealized version of the world. That's a recipe for the perfect game.

No one like SEGA to create "summer feeling" games. You can see that great atmosphere in most of its arcades...and in Green Hill Zone, lol.

Licencing issues in games is one of my pet hates (the reason Outrun and Sega Rally Online Arcade were pulled). So many great games that would be perfect for GOG or Steam that can't be released due to licencing (CMR 1-2005, NFS 1-Porsche Unlimited, Geoff Crammond GP and so on). Car games are one of the worst for it along with sports games. Game developers, car manufacturers (or other licence holders) and their lawyers need to get together and sort something out because there are a ton of games that you can't buy new (or at least at a price that is anywhere near reasonable) nor digitally. I realise there are "unofficial" means to get games, but I'd much rather legitimately own them (though in particular cases there is little choice). It is a shame that the industry as a whole has little interest in comprehensively preserving its history by keeping past titles playable. Yes there are classic collections, but these tend to focus on genre defining and extremely famous games. I'm glad places such as GOG exist and that there are communities who strive to keep vintage games available to play. Sorry for the rant.

Love this game. I have OutRun 2 for the original Xbox and now I have OutRun 2006 C2C on my computer. Sadly, OutRun 2006 hasn't the bonus tracks from Scud Race and Daytona USA 2 like the Xbox version :(

The thrill of sitting in an arcade playing this as a kid stopped you hearing the fucking abysmal music that came with it. But still, it's a solid 7/10 game even in 2022.

Sega bet everything to bring the renewed OutRun essence. Unfortunately it became one of those underrated precious games. I personally love this game. And I feel sorry that it did not have the repercussion that it deserved.

Yes I know, I actually own the PS2 version of "Outrun 2006" and I never said it was for the Dreamcast. That's why I said "wish", since it was Sega game and it would have been nice to enjoy this amazing game on Sega's last console.

There is no 60fps Footage because the whole Video is not in 60fps you can see this btw in the Quality Option. (The smaller 60 behind 720p or 1080p)

What's with those birds that come and hover above the car? they must be flying at nearly 200mph in order to keep up. I don't know of any species of bird capable of achieving that.
