Watch as Washington Capitals’ forward Alexander Ovechkin scores his second hat trick of the season, against the Montreal Canadiens. Carey Price has now given up four goals in the first period.
Ever graced the game? Your trippin, when he scores 5 goals in all 5 possible ways in a game you might get away with that! 66But im pretty sure somebody already did that66
Why am I not surprised to see only a penguin fan disagree lmao. It's not only about how much you score, it's about every element that makes a goal scorer plus the time/league you play in needs to be taken into consideration. With all of it accounted for, Ovi is going to go down as the best goal scorer in the game, at the least top 3.
Equinox THIS is exactly what I thought! Hated that he switched to bauer and the sticks didnt seem good for him and now with CCM he is once again on fire. Idk if stick brand matters at all but I find it funny
@@romanborris7919 this is something i recognized, too. Ovi was always considered as a superstar, but since his cup, people talk so much better about him.
@@trejohnson7315 Exactly. He never failed, he always pulled his weight. The rest of the team would always fail, even these last few years. Luckily we got a new coach though.
He was ranked like 25-30 best in the league by sportsnet and picked something like 20th overall on avarage in fantasy hockey. I rank him 3rd best and picked him 1st overall and I think I was right🔥
I don't think anyone is close to scoring as much goals as Ovi can right now. He does it every year since he started, not slowing down, even the supposedly #1 goalies in the league can't shut down Alexander the Great. Especially in this era, where it's harder to score, and harder to be consistent with scoring.
Carey Price: ok my team will block a shot at some point....or just try to get in the lane....oh ok take the pass then.....make it look like you are trying...please... ...Help
One of, if not, his best starts to a season and it ended with him finally raising Lord Stanley's Cup. It was a storybook season. Sorry Vegas, it was meant to be the Capitals' year.
With a start like this Ovie is making it lot easier on himself to get to 50. If he beats his personal best 65 goals at the age of 32 would be epic. A Stanley cup as well then he is definately a top 5 player ever.
Yeah I doubt that anyone has ever done it tbh. Dont have time to google it right now but like I said, I doubt it has ever been done. 7 goals in first 2 games of the season, wow. Just wow.
Equivalent to saying, "everyone knows Curry shoots a 3, just cover him"...Easy to say, but like Curry, Ovechkin makes it work. Like how do you defend that turnaround shot lol?
It blows my mind that some fans haven’t realize that he can outskate, dangle, be more physical than and better vision than just about any defender you put on him. He’s just more man and athlete than anyone stopping him. There is no stopping him. You just hope he’s hungover and has an off night.
I'm a #Habs fan, Regardless, how can Any1 talk negative about #Ovie?? Played an #UnReal game last nite !! No matter what team, u route 4, Personally, u can't #Deny #Talent!! Ovie #Gr8 is #BeyondTalent!! #Congratulations on another steller performance #Ovie 🏆
He played 82 games and got 33 goals last year. How few games will it take to Reach 33 this year? Can he get there before we hang up NeXT years canader?
I did say he lost a edge but will bounce back from 33 goals, He will reach 40 but not 50 anymore. Never mind I guess I'm wrong he will probably be back at the 50 Range. The Rocket Trophy is his again he misses it
How can you possibly not be aware of where he is look at that second goal. They should know to account for him at all times every single second. Never let him get in that spot with no defender even close to him
PatientMental I'm but you can definitely make argument that he is the greastest goal scorer of all time especially in the era he plays in. Also he would have scored more goals than Gretzky in his era.
PatientMental Never saw Lemieux play but he was definitely an amazing goal scorer and is top 3 but imo Ovi is the greatest goal scorer of all time. What he has done in his era is impressive. He would have scored at least 80-100 goals in the 80s/90s
You said it right there Dave with "never saw him play" if you have your opinion would be different. I like Ovi but hes nowhere in the same sentence as Lemieux or Gretzky, stats have nothing to do with it. Id even put Brett Hull ahead of Ovechkin. Hes low top ten at best with Crosby not very far behind
iFinlander I wouldnt be salty about a guy who could give me 50 goals nearly every year. Atleast they get into the playoffs every year. Where were the bruins last year? Looks like you guys could use a 10.5 mill sniper.
I predicted he would get a hat trick in game 2 as well! He followed through. Now, do I predict he gets Three vs a very hungry Tampa With Stamkos yet to score, just drooling to take the spotlight off ovie. My Guess is that Stamkos gets his first goal of the season and Ovie scores a goal as well.
