OVEN-FRIED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
9 Chicken Drumsticks, about 3 LBS
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons powdered garlic
2 teaspoons smokey paprika
2 teaspoons dried parsley or 1 teaspoon of fresh parsley
2 teaspoons dried thyme or 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme
2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
2 teaspoons salt, optional
1. Add butter to a 13" X 9" baking dish. Melt in preheated 425 degrees F. oven, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from oven.
2. Sprinkle each chicken drumstick with a little salt and pepper.
3. In a gallon size plastic bag add the flour, powdered garlic, paprika, parsley, thyme, black pepper, and salt, optional. Shake until all ingredients are well combined. Add chicken drumsticks. Toss until well coated.
4. Arrange drumsticks on top of melted butter.
5. Bake for 30 minutes turning once after 15 minutes or until thermometer reaches 170 degrees F when inserted into the thickest part of chicken leg.
6. Remove from oven and cool for 15 minutes before serving.
TIPS: Store chicken in an airtight contain in the refrigerator up to 2 days.
