How many fires did you see in the video? Drop a comment and let me know! ALSO... a FULLY working version of the Verde Beach save can be found here - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2859363112 . That pesky parking lot issue is finally resolved after I replaced all of my local assets with the steam workshop version. Thank you all so much for being here with me during the build! The support means more to me than I could ever adequately express with words... you guys are the best!
100 episodes. When did that happen. In fact who are you, never heard of you in my life? You sound like some crazy bloke who has a slight( huge) obsession with landscaping if you ask me! Don't wanna be rude but if you're gonna be this fixated on building up imaginary cities you should just get a job in that kinda field and actually do something that has a real world impact. Something like a planner for cities or whatever they call those people. Don't ask me I'm not really into that sorta thing. Here's to another 100 eh. That's 100 episodes. Obviously the fires ( which have nothing to do with all those tree's & bushes of course) will number in the 55-65,000
Did anyone think of the children concerning these fires lol? As this map seems prone to fires, I was just wondering do you have your smoke detector policy on? When that policy is on, just as the people seem to pull cars in and out of their pockets, they seem to fill the forests with smoke detectors to help prevent forest fires. It costs a bit of money but you should be producing a good amount of money now to cover it. But I guess Verde Beach wouldn't be the same if it wasn't constantly on fire lol.
somewhere between 30 and 50 fires, altho some where maybe double counted cause they apeared in 2 shots, and some where not counted cause it whas 2 in 1 shot and they where counted as 1 (i also counted some of the fire remenents that where learly visible at some points and the black areas in the build timelaps) if you also count all the fires in myrtles revenge its somewhere between 60 and 80
Putting into perspective how much this project took as a viewer, 86 hours, I just imagine how many more hours it takes you. Thank you for your work, it is amazing to have such great entertainment and insight from you. To many more videos, and greater success for you.
Jeez...I remember when this city started. That feels like only yesterday. Over the course of the series, every episode got better, and so did your ability as a creator. Keep up the good work, we can't wait for more Verde Beach!
Maybe something like the Statue of Liberty. The first you see when you arrive at the City. A memorial and a tourist attraction on an artifical island or built on the highest point of the city looking over it.
This series singlehandedly reenergized my love for this game and taught me new ways to think about building my cities. I cannot thank you enough for your work, Phil!
Such an amazing series, this was the first and so far the only vanilla series that actually had me waiting for the next episode. History was made on that one day in december, almost 2 years ago! About this video, I can see why this took 'some' time, haha. I love this recap and the way you tell the history of VB as a story. Great job Phil, way more to come!
I like how you narrated this video, it makes it seem like a real city, with notable people like Maggie, making it sound like the inhabitants were actual real people, it’s amazing how someone can be so creative and make history within a game😄
Phil I'm terrible at English(Speaking) but yeah you're amazing! When I was alone, when my friends were hurting me, and couple months ago, when I had a surgery and was alone in the hospital for a week Your videos made me very happy and notification always makes me exited. I love how you always look happy in your videos and that makes me happy too! Wish u the best!
Thank you so much and I'm glad that I could help! I hope that things are going better for you now and I look forward to continuing to make videos for you!!
This is so wonderful! As someone who's been watching VB from day one, and has watched all 5000+ minutes of it, I'm so glad it's still going on and has gone 100 episodes and hopefully it'll go 100 more 💝
Thank you! And I'm enjoying watching your progress as a creator, too! Awesome growth and I look forward to seeing where you go! The sky is the limit, Diana!!
@@CityPlannerPlays oh wow thats so kind of you to say and it means a lot as your channel was one of the first CS channels i really got into and I still look forward to new videos each week
I’ve fallen in and out of the series, I used to watch since episode 1 and watched every new episode until like episode 20 or so. And then kept going back every 15 episodes and watching one or two episodes to keep track off whats happening. I love this series and this city; and this episode really helped me recap off everything, thank you for an amazing two years and I hope it goes on longer!!
I remember when episode 18 came and I broke at that time my elbow and it is a nostalgic feeling to look back at the episode when I first seen it lying in bed and watching the episode. Thanks for this great series.
Verde Beach is the ultimate city build, and for me is the best of all your bulids. I absolutely love both the city planning itself and the storytelling you incorporate in it, ever since episode 1 with all that crazy dirt roads. Even though sometimes you struggle with the vanilla restrictions, this city come up amazing and very relatable for me personally
Been with Verde Beach since the first breaking of ground. There's a park in the city named after my dad, and a few streets and other facilities named after some of my suggestions. Verde Beach is my city and I'm so grateful for you and everyone watching for making this city what it is today. Thanks for being here, Phil. Verde for life.
I discovered youre channel after i watched biffa's video about traffic fixes and i watched you build myrtle park in episode 21 and i didnt even realise we are in episode 100 already. Keep it going phil you are a very good story teller and entertain us all thank you phil!
just started watching it and i have to say it, i missed that old intro! such a great one. i remember watching the first ever VB video, watched all the videos too. What a journey. Thank you for the joy you brought Phil
I'd love to see Verde Beach around for another 100 and another 100 episodes! Creating, fixing, improving, and creating, on and on. Just like real life. Grateful that I can witness the history and the “becoming well and full” (couldn't find the right word) of this living city.
Thank you so much for the support and kind words! You've hit it right on the head and that's one of the reasons I don't want to stop now - Verde Beach is exactly where a planner would jump in and be expected to iterate on the city! Cities are constantly changing, evolving, and improving. Nothing is ever "done"!
Phil, you're the first CS channels that I discovered and since that time I got stuck into your way of doing things. Since bluffside, I'm in a process of learning things from you and honestly couldn't be better! You're the best!
I’m 7:25 into this video and I’ve already reached what I’ve seen in the videos prior. I’m so excited to catch up with this series and this is a good show of how far I have to go! Thanks, man!
What I honestly love about your videos, is your attention to details. It also really encourages me to see that even you are often not satisfied with the final result of your planning, or the technical outcome and workability, so that you often break down something and start from scratch. Sometimes I think I'm too stupid to build a beautiful, working city, but your videos tought me that it's okay to make mistakes and reconsider something. Thank you so verry much for your great content 🙏
I just love the realism applied with the storyline here. I’ve somewhat started playing somewhat in the same way, except without the storyline and much more like how a city would naturally grow. Keep it up!
This is, hands down, the BEST Cities Skylines channel on RU-vid. Keep up the great work! Your videos are my most hotly anticipated. I've watched every episode of VB, mostly in 4-6 hour binges lol. Can't wait to see Clearwater County hit it's 100th episode next!!!
It has been a really big journey with you, and you completely turned around my vision of vanilla C:S! At first I thought it was very boring but after watching some of you VB episodes I got really interested in your channel (I actually started from the 50th episode where you built and detailed the Sterling estate which was collosal!) and your videos are always relaxing and eagerly anticipated ❤️❤️
Holy moly. I subscribed to this channel in November 2020, and have watched every video you've posted since. I can't believe how much time that's really added up to. Amazing work, Phil, and a massive thanks for all the things I've learned from you. I may not be a citybuilder irl, but I assure you, my Cims are a lot happier than they were in 2019 lol
ok I just love that this city has a rich history, of planning, current development and future growth, all explained stage by stage as the city literally grows up before our very eyes, thank you City Planner Plays, also I agree with Bob the builder in the comments, we need a monument to celebrate such a great looking city and 100th episode.
I've been a subscriber of this channel before Verde Beach Series started and I've watched and enjoyed every single one of them. Keep up the Great work.
I absolutely love taht yopu don't just built but add stories to this whole thing. Stories that develop with te city and end up being incredibly interesting, even if somewhat vague.
I’ve learned so much stuff over all these episodes and even though I’m aware that the series must eventually come to a closure it makes me sad to think about that. You’re doing an absolutely amazing job entertaining us. Thank you so much for that.
I think I binge-watched the first 47 episodes (aka all that were out then) when I was jobless and have continued to watch every episode since. Love that series.
Being a newer viewier of your channel I definately have not seen most of these episodes. Absolutely loved this video! A very cool way to see what was done in the past!
Huge congrats, Phil! Verde Beach and this channel in general have come such a long way. From Bluffside Crossing to Clearwater County, it’s been such a treat to see how your content has evolved. All the best, and here’s to more!
I have been waiting for that aerial view time-lapse for over a year 😭💕 It's just as beautiful as I thought it would be. Amazing job with this series Phil
I #love this!! i've been viewing Verde Beach since the beginning, and been a CPP fan every since. to see VB like this in a history video is the coolest thing. 🙌😎💯 🔥🔥🔥
It's been great to see Verde Beach grow over time! It's also been great spending time with you and watching you build this city and create a story along with it. I've gotten well back into Cities Skylines because of these videos and I enjoy every moment of them! Keep up the amazing work and I can't wait to continue to watch VB grow, and create an even larger story for itself!
This video really shows why I love watching your video. You tell a story with your build. Other creators may build nice cities but no one can match the level of story telling and analysis that you provide. Congrats on 100 episodes!
omg the myrtle's revenge part killed me , kgjdfkgjfdkhjdgfkhj i love you phil, one of my favorite youtubers if not my favorite, looking forward to every tuesday and saturday because of you. a great youtuber which honors its community, if its by youtube or discord. that is amazing thank you for doing all of this, been watching you since early 2021, havent missed an epsiode since. looking forward for verde beach, cwc or perhaps a new city :)
Bless you CPP. its been a wild ride and i've enjoyed it in its entirety. From the relaxation that comes from watching methodically lay out your roads to the awkward laugh when you pan across another fire XD. All great entertainment while giving pause to the thought processes behind what goes into an effective development strategy. So glad to be on the journey with you, i've enjoyed it a ton and learnt a lot. Eminent domain is a phrase that will stay with me forever.
your story telling is amazing! and i love how furious Maggie made Karen! haha love this build and love your videos! you are truly an amazing city builder! i spend WAY more time watching your videos then building my own.
You've probably heard this many times before, but I most say it nevertheless: Your channel is the best 'Cities' channel I know! The quality, the time, the knowledge and talent you put in each one of your videos is something really special for one to witness. Hope you never stop doing what you do! It's really great work!
Congrats on such a huge milestone! Verde Beach has definitely come a long way since episode 1, and it’s great to see how far VB has truly come! 🎊Congrats on episode 100! 🎊Definitely took a lot of hard work.
For most, Verde Beach helped through a global pandemic, for me personally, words cannot explain how it has & keeps helping me switch off..& yes please get rid of that ridiculous Los Intestines District. Here's to another 100 & more fires..cheers!!
I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since you began this project! Awesome video, and I can't wait to see what you have planned (haha) for the future!
Mannn. what a wonderfull episode this was.... It feels like i just started watching verde beach yesterday.. where the hell did all that time go :D... So so glad its not the end yet unlike new tealand.... Im attached to city and looking forward to seeing the build around the volcano.. keep up ur amazing work
Would you maybe do an episode exploring how realistic the development of Verde Beach is. And then could you aswell mention how Verde Beach would have developed if it were to be a realistic city development?
This city is not allowed to fin ish until you finally build that nature reserve you promised us all that time ago! In all seriousness, watching this city develop has been a joy, and has taught me a hell of a lot about city planning and civil engineering. It's been a joy to watch, and whilst some of the development may not have been wholly natural, I personally feel the majority of it was, especially how you saw potential in already developed areas. Thank you for this. I look forward to the finale when Mt Myrtle (what else would you call that volcano considering all the issues with fire you've had! :-P) finally explodes and turns this whole place into a modern version of Pompei!
This is really weird to watch as I viewed almost all your content while doing something else. It's very calming background noise. Anyway, feels like a fever dream to hear and see stuff I sorta recognize and also see stuff I had no clue exsisted, while alse experiencing sub conscious emotions associated with activities and moments I had durring specific episodes.
I found this series this summer, so I'm still catching up and watching everything. Amazing built, I've enjoyed it so far. Keep it up! I was wondering, is there an episode where we see how Lee Hawkins reconstructs the whole rail system and farm freight road system or did I somehow missed it? I'm really curious about that.
i made a verde beach like but in the lovely redwoods and total green and utopian is difficult just reached the war memorial but you learned me how to build massive citys
You got me. I thought the city was actually burning down again for the 12th time and didn't really think much about it until you said that it wasn't actually happening.
I'm actually feeling like a proud dad watching our baby grow up like this. My wife would not be impressed to know I've invested 3.5 whole days of my life in this but she doesn't know Myrtle like we do.
