Thank you!! I'm a photographer and tired of women coming into the studio wanting to look absolutely nothing like themselves on a daily. And want 50lbs photoshopped at consultation. Umm no, you see those wrinkles all over, ya, you see mine? We are fortunate enough to have lived long enough to earn them. A privilege some are denied. I'm in my 20s and this is how I apply concealer. The RU-vid technique never worked for me because I don't like the heavy makeup look it gives. Made me look so much older than I am.

I have 3 deep lines under my eyes and I just can't get them to not crease my foundation or concealer I tried everything but no luck any advice ladies? BTW I am barely 33 and I have those ugly lines under my eyes ☹️😭

Don’t even wear makeup is the problem solver. When I do I just use moisturizer , primer and foundation plus eyeshadow but that’s rare only when I go out. Let your skin breathe girl . Just get a lot of anti-aging products 👌🏽

@M I L K Y L A N E this method of concealer application is almost like I don't have any concealer on. One time, I wore concealer alone by tapping with my fingers, asked my friend if she could see it and she swore I wasn't wearing concealer. For me, I use concealer only for the reason that it brightens my eye area and my eyes look bright yet natural in pictures.

I am late in 40’s late now and do not wear makeup except a few light to attend the gala, events. Simple eye liner and mascara ( sometimes) Not much foundation. If needed like Bosch or so. Really rare. I used make up when I was teenager, high school and college. Oh my god. What waste my time and I don’t really need. Why did I copy right with peers? My friends told me some people look so good with make up but remove make up. What happened they looked terrible or not pretty. Good thing I look good without make up as natural. Good things! What s more out there in make ups have chemical toxic!!! Eekkkk Just let u know that you do not need so much cover up. How many put on your eyes. $$$$$$$$ Unnecessary! Be you or bring you . For yourself. Not someone else control how you look I looked back my time. I did wonderful jobs on make up on myself or friends but wasted my time. During third and forth years of college I did less make up Not much really. Except eyeliners I understand some of you may be hooked or must become if today’s society or... take care Remember natural beauty in us 💁‍♀️

Ladies we need to stop worrying so much about growing older. I turn 60 on Sunday and am much more confident than I was in my 20s. I wear makeup occasionally but don’t feel the pressure to look “younger”. I have some wrinkles but so what. The more wrinkles I get, the closer I am to heaven. Be yourself. Be confident.

I've changed my technique as well. I'm 40+ and adjusting. I have wrinkles right under my eyes so the whole baking no longer works. I learned something new with the setting spray so will try this thanks!

Love them too, my mother was the prettiest in her 40s and 50s with laugh wrinkles, i always wanted to look just like her. Sadly society is not so welcoming to mid age when it really needs to be celebrated and embraced, we all do get older each day becoming wiser is the most important stepping stone. I still like the idea of using less make up as she described and I appreciate that she advises that methods are different for different age groups. It is helpful.

Yes most of my coworkers around our age use minimal make up just enough to brighten our face. Concentrate on preparing and caring for your skin and moisturize. SPF year round.

This video is perfect! I hadn't applied make-up in almost 5yrs and am 38yrs now. So I recently started working with Spring Hill Suites Marriott and have been applying make-up again. Hey, we mature women were hip with our beauty products in our day - My skin is quite different now that I'm 60. Foundations don't look the same way they did on my skin 10 - 20 years ago ..

Exactly... My 60 year old skin doesn't like most foundations ( I've tried every high end / drug store foundation & BB) they all look the same on my skin ( foundation ). I happened to hear a RU-vidr talking about sunscreens and some with tint - I noticed that I had a large tube that I was mentioned, so I tried it on my skin ( I'm a huge skeptic on everything ) - I was so surprised that it looks better than anything I've applied to my mature dry skin ( Australian Gold Biotanical sunscreen tinted face 50 spf ( OMG it looks so natural and beautiful )..... Trust me if you have mature dry skin with oily T Zone you'll never put this tint down.....

If you are my age (58) don't powder the under eye. I like to keep it dewy and fresh looking. Will it settle into lines? Sometimes but if I apply it and work it properly I don't have much problem with settling in lines. Love the tip about setting spray on the sponge. Thank you.

I use jojoba chapstick on my face/eye area. I wash with dove after it soaks in. Then use mixed monastat antichafing and Canadian preparation H cream. The USA cream doesn’t have strong firming anymore.

I've always used a full face of makeup, but I've never used THAT much concealer. The amount in her "old routine" blew me away. I've always gotten compliments on my appearance (still do). I'm 54 now, & I've really cut back on the time my routine takes. I just have better things to do than fart around with my makeup. I'm just on RU-vid while I wait for my sleep meds to kick in, & came upon this tutorial. It's nice seeing one from someone who's more mature. Compared to me, she's just a baby, cuz I'm over the hill- LOL! This lady is lovely, & I'm sure her tips & tricks are helpful for many, as sometimes aging women don't realize the need to change up their makeup products & application when their skin changes. I understand what you are saying. There seems to be so much need nowadays for people to be flawless, cover up and be perfect, but I think it is the person underneath that matters not their skin, lines, or lack thereof. Someone's face can say so much without words. I do wonder how the women of the 40s and 50s who only had cold cream, powder, eyeliner and lipstick feel about all the different products that are available today!

I dont think the problem is them being visible you cant hide your age, and i myself find them charming. However using concealers traps product inside the wrinkles and those accentuate them. Therefore your face looks like ground in the desert xDDD thats something most women dont like...

Great tips. As I age my skin has been improving in wrinkles age spots & texture. I use my handmade goat milk soaps & natural fat waxes for hydration. I feel like less make up more looks better om.me at 45 than when I used to do a full face make up when I was younger. Love the bright dewy look. Its gorgeous.

But later, I've been influenced by a lot of beauty youtubers and changed my technique to the "classic" huge triangle... And even if I'm quite young it's not flattering at all...

OMG this IS the truth!!! I stopped wearing makeup in my mid to late 20s bc of my job but really started to miss it. Since makeup has evolved so much since then and now we have all these popular makeup stores like Sephora and ULTA I wanted to get back into it(NOW mid 30s) so I turned to the wonderful WWW to see what's most popular and supposed to work well bc I didnt have much anymore and most of it I did have was outdated and had to be thrown away. Anyways around the last time I was still wearing makeup I used bareminerals ONLY as foundation and concealer but wanted to start using the products that looked SO great on the ppl doing tutorials on RU-vid. The thing IS they are fairly young and the ones who aren't have the kinda money to afford botox, fillers etc so makeup STILL looks great on them but of course I didn't take ANY of that into consideration when I spent an ungodly amount of money on skincare/beauty products thinking my makeup would turn out looking amazing like theirs!! Boy was I ever wrong!!!! Caking all that concealer under your eyes followed by baking it on skin 35+ was a total joke! It looked SO BAD I didn't know whether to laugh OR cry!!! 😂 so I can ALWAYS appreciate these types of tips/tricks tutorials for those of us with more mature skin! Thanks!

I just turned 52 and you have helped me SO much to not put buckets of concealer on like the IG baby faced girls do! I have fallen for so many IG ads for makeup and I barely even wore concealer before lol. I have big green eyes and up til now they've been my most complimented feature (well they still look pretty good), but now I have the full set of dark baggage under them because who knew, gravity works over time! lol But if I ever leave my apartment again without a mask on anytime soon, and I have the chance of actually being seen by another human being, I am going to do my concealer this way now! There's makeup corrector for dark circles, red marks etc. They are green or pink and come in small concealer tubes. I think you would use a little of the pink on your dark circles, let it dry and then apply your foundation & powder. Pretty sure you could use either the light pink or the pale green for dark undereye circles. Depending on your skin tone. Sounds crazy but it really works. Ask a beauty advisor at a drugstore that has good selection of products.

that setting spray trick is legit. I've found a moistirizing one or even subbing a mild toner before it's had time to set helps me with consistency and not settling into fine lines as far.

Ditto on the NARS radiant creamy concealer. I’m 53 and it just melts into my skin. My under eyes are brightened but you can’t tell I have any concealer on and it never accentuates any wrinkles and doesn’t ever sit in creases. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

That happened to me around 28 but managed to get rid them and still nothing at almost 41. 🙏Moisturizing is crucial, antioxidants skin food type products (i.e. nourishing serums and masks), exfoliating (not too much) and, above all, a strong spf (i.e. Korean of Japanese, not crappy US products... most of my skincare is Korean because it actually works lol). I’m so glad I came across this video. I just recently started to notice that this was happening when I applied makeup to my face so I stopped wearing the makeup I used too not knowing how to correct the lines on my face from popping out.

I love how you tackled an issue & taught useful techniques without being pretentious or snarky toward young people. None of us started out doing our makeup like pros, so it’s nice to see someone being helpful without being a jerk.

I really, really appreciate your comment, thank you! You get it. It takes years to learn and improve skills in teens and 20's and then tweak techniques as skin changes in 30's+. No shade is meant, just hoping to help women in the same age range as myself!

Wow your tutorials and tips are so helpful. Im 37 and most make up tutorials are for over 50 or younger ladies. Other tutorials are hard to follow but your are so helpful. Thanks a ton. New subscriber for sure!!
