@@Bimmer_Bill Bimmer fanboys have to be some of the most retarded people on the internet. Literally RU-vid K series greatest engine and you'll have multiple technical videos by well known sources explaining why it's considered the greatest 4 cyl ever built. Power potential NA, boosted, reliability etc.
Was going back now a couple of times. I thought I was seeing things but yeah it went off sync around the 10 min mark and forward. Great lap and that’s a very nicely set up civic. All the best to the owner
The shifting. The toe-heeling. The flexing of muscles while turning the steering wheel. The screaming 9000rpm+ vtec. THIS VIDEO IS JUST TOO PERFECT MAN!! It is so beautiful that I can watch this for hours😩😩
The poor man's GT3 RS, but in a good way. My first car was an EG, I had it for 9 years, bone stock apart from Bilstein B12 suspension kit. Still the car I had the most fun with, ever. It's a massively underrated car in my eyes, the ricer image doesn't do it justice. Double wishbone suspension front and rear, go-kart like handling, good power to weight ratio, great looks. I really like how you can see the owner is thoroughly enjoying every second of it. Proud of his car, and rightly so. Awesome content.
In South Africa we have EG but only 4door known as the Honda ballade Mercedes was building them in South Africa so they made a special version called the 180e none VTEC B18b3 from the integra. Lovely car and the even more rare was a AMG version
@@amirparvez5415 you most welcome, there are plenty More interesting South African only specials to read about. From The first Unofficial BMW 530MLE to the only BMW 7 series sanctioned by BMW to race 745i( with a M88 engine similar to the M1) to a 333i e30(3.2lt) to the 325is(2.7lt with M3 e30 suspension) to Opel GSi 16v S(held the world record for Most Nm/per liter for N/A till Ferrari 458 took that record) we called this Opel the superboss as it gave BMW hard time on the race track. To the Ford Sierra XR8 and Ford Capri Parana and the Alfa GTv30 these cars where Homologation specials. Side note the first BMW plant outside of Germany was South Africa . There are so many special like to Opel Kadett TS a hot hatch that made 160kw( 214hp) in 1994 6speed manual and limited slip differential..
@Juciy J Curtis my man you just dropped me some sick as history that I never known about . I've been sleeping on the car culture/ history in South Africa ! Ima spend my today looking up more on the things you shared with me. I'll try to find some cool , not popular info about cars her the U.S. you might not know about. Thanks again 🤝
@@amirparvez5415 thanks brother, iv been following Jamie orr as he came to South Africa and Bought a Citi Golf( it's basically a Mk1 golf but in South Africa we made them till 2009) and he fitted a 3.6 v6 Passat motor that he shipped to SA from US. He then shipped the car to Germany for a VW festival then to US drove it in Los Angeles with South African number plates 😂, thanks il be waiting for Someone history to go read about. I actually love reading about cars so I would appreciate it.. enjoy
This dudes footwork fundamentals are so insanely solid. That left foot braking is at those speeds is hard af to not screw up and he's just rocking like it's another Sunday. Heel toe downshifting under high-speed non abs left foot braking like champ lol.
Left foot braking is pretty pointless outside of offroad / rally. If you can't trail brake and control load without using your left foot, your footwork isn't the problem.
@@ttt69420That doesn't make any sense, they don't use left foot braking just for trail braking, left foot breaking helps to modulate the throttle and can gain tenths per lap
@@ttt69420 have you ever heard of weight transfer? Current wrc driver left foot brake even v8 supercar drivers at time. It's because it helps to turn the car into the apex. How do you expect misha to get into a car and in a minute be able to push it to its limit?? He drives so many different cars each day and uses just a line that works for them all, it's also only a track day so there others cars. He's also won the nls 6 hour so he must have good lines ay?
Rear roll centre correction kit would probably be a good idea to reduce the understeer. They lose a load of rear roll stiffness relative to be front when lowered.
alignment, springs and diff would be what i looked at before roll center correction bits. you can always raise the car to get a good roll center. push on entry is most likely front toe :P
@@lobuk516 why is corner entry mainly front toe? Steering response yeah, but not actual car balance. corner entry car balance is more to do with springs rate, roll rate and rear toe. as i said, correcting the roll centre will increase the effective rear roll stiffness without adding physically stiffer springs, which gives you a more compliant car while having the desired balance. People hardly ever correct roll centre when they lower a car then they chase the handling with the stuff you said. Fix the actual problem then tune the balance with the tools you mentioned.
Misha drove that car with all his heart. How he changed his driving characteristics to suit the Vtec and most importantly the car. Dancing the throttle out of a corner isn’t something you see everyday. Nice lap.
I was gonna say he looks like hes possesed in the car hes so focused. I think its the nature of these high rpm beasts they're just so emotional when you push them to the redline it feels like a human connection between you and the car.
As a man with a K20 civic I couldn't stop smiling watching this lap. Just all the NA Vtec noises. Bless. Also, idk what happened at 10:30 but the tachometer became un-synced and was ahead. No worries still a great vid. It was fun anticipating the Vtec when I saw the gauge go up tho.
I am now at an age where I can afford a new GT3 RS and other nice sports cars, but this is still one of my favorite cars that Misha has tested. I've always loved JDM 90s cars with K series swaps, JDM chassis bracing, Bride seats and carbon fiber body pieces. The feeling of a 90s car is something new sports cars cannot give us.
@@kuroneko-_5570 Oh yeah they never break I think a integra could be a very fun track car Not super fast but really fun Or if you have the money a NSX first generation.
@@RK1FX maybe in a naturally aspirated car but no not all time best 4 cylinder lol. Ducati V4 making 280+ hp from 1,000 cc. Turbo 1.5 liter bmw 4 from the mid 80’s in F1 made 1,400 hp in qualifying trim.
@@Bimmer_Bill Will that 1.5 turbo with over 1000 hp last for 200.000 km? There are examples of K20 Hondas with over 200.000 km running full rpm on the ring and they don't break. Your example F1 BMW car required an overhaul after each race and it ran with very toxic high octane fuel. Can you daily it? How much does it cost? Do you now get the point?
I start to cry. Best Civic ever made. I had the same Vtec with about 140HP in 2003. The power is amazing, because of the light waight and you could fix nearly everything by yourself.
Amazing car + amazing driver !!! I love old hot hatches with power. A old K20 Civic is always nice. I drive a tuned (cylinder head, bigger valves, camshaft,.....) and a little bit weight reduced JCW MINI R53. My car produces 257 hp at 7800 rpm and 258 newtonmeters at 6000 rpm :)
Just amazing engines these k-series engines. When I’m done with the Impreza I want to build a bmw e30 with a k24 in it. Almost nothing better than a 4 banger with an airbox on it.
VW rabbit 1.7 liter. Stock bottom end is same they used in their diesel. Huge cam, triple valve springs, and headers. Kiehin flat sides and 12k rpm all day long at around 250hp in a 900lb car with driver. Did endos under heavy breaking!😊
EG Civic enthusiast here. You can fix the wacky-tach by heating up the solder points on the back of the instrument cluster with a soldering iron. It's caused by micro-fractures in the aging solder points.
I had one of those when I was 22yo and the previous model at 20yo. I had the 131hp double cam engine and I still remember the pleasure of going through the revs with this car...
He started off tested the car and capacities, Then drove the F out it! Nice driving. Great video. Love all motor, VTec sounds amazing 🔥Funny all the Honda haters on the comments. They hate Hard.
The owner's joyful smile speaks of how much he loves his car, great guy and a very cool EG. The fun and driving pleasure this thing brings is hard to match. I would say though, having owned an EG I'd really think about putting a roll cage on it. It's a tin can and at these speeds if anything goes wrong the chassis doesnt stand a chance
Man, this car is a really attractive one! So great. The design, the behavior, engine, revs, sound... Only one thing, its power in the rear tyres could be perfection, but... 😂😂
so glad to see more videos pop up in my recommended feed. love these owners letting misha drive them so hard. great driver. loved the rpms. seriously amazing lap.
@@SoccerClassics It was 9 min lap with the construction work and bit of traffic. If he fixes the understeer let's say it does 8 min flat, that's on par with Audi R8 V8 or Porsche 911 GT3 996 gen
misha actualy this gen got a type R,with 1.6L VTEC 158HP,just fun to see you can push 100% from a car without worry had a problem in the middle of track
@@DuBstep115 I must say again! 9000 rpm! K20 engine is one of the best engines ever made! He could easily do more couple of laps without overheating! For example at Golf mk7 gti the redline is 6500 rpm
@@florijankuruc4327 and ? it was designed to redline at 6500 rpm. Whats your point ? The MK7 gti at 6500 rpm outputs more power than this at 9000 rpm. Hopefully you get the reference.
His face is gonna be killing him from all that smiling. Haha. This was a fun lap to watch. I want to see another lap when he fixes the under steer. What a smile haha.
12:44 "it can cool down itself" "finally" ... 118°C , the owner was really in pain 😂😅 "don't use the kerbs the engine sit very low", proceed to ride the edge in carousell and minicarousel 😂
10:31 Just to point out the synchronisation issue with the dial camera. As I commented when you started doing the split-screen tach & speedometer overlay, I really like the effect. Watching where you are going and how the tachometer needle moves is hypnotic with a car like this.
the happiest man ever that u took hes horses for a run....i realy like the car, sound, guy....u can see hes thrills every second of a lap...a real comerade...lol
Left foot breaking !!!! Love it. I personally always keep my left foot on the clutch and use the right one for gas and brake. Tried braking with the left, couldnt control it 😂
There is a reason a lot of car manufacturers stick these K20/K24 engines in their cars! because they are so good and reliable and can extract a lot of power from them! Love the high revving NA sound👌🏼
Normally these Civics like EG or EK are not understeering, if there is not something out of balance on the suspension or aliment. Maybe front tire pressure to high also. With a K series he should go minimum 10 or 20mm wider with the tire size in front. This car and motor combination can be really fast on track.
Learning there's no ABS on the first corner just means that the tires are square shaped now instead of round. Not a problem! Fun lap to watch and great sound over 8k. Thanks for sharing comrades.
