They take that ringtone and make a symphony out of it! Six notes, and it becomes a rock opera…. As you were sayin, it’s a masterclass in how to write music, and then in how to play it. Loved the way you listened to it, it gave me chills again, -and I’ve heard this ringtone version so many times before. How they go from smooth to just rippin your head off in a matter of seconds. Also how you point out their own unique sound. So true. Heard them talk about this a few times-. There are a few vids on the tube about all three of them playing their solo parts, short but mindblowing in themselves. Links below. Then there are a few where they talk about the making of it. I always enjoy this cut. For some reason it frequently flies under my radar and then when I do hear it again my mind is just turned to extremely happy mush! This is such a fiery little number.

I don't know if you've heard them already, but since you enjoyed this one so much, I think you'll enjoy the DL covers of "Wake Me Up" and "Forever Young" which live in a similar sound universe in terms of instrumentation and treatment.

You know what's so crazy about this one is that I remember my dad's phone having this ringtone back in 2016-2017, and finding it super annoying. For some reason I never even took the time to listen to it, it was just automatically heard as "generic samsung tone" in my brain. Then years later, when I discovered Dirty Loops, I also found this, and was shocked by how incredible it is and sounds. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Just goes to show how much power there is in actually WANTING to listen to a piece of music, and not just hearing it without actually listening
Ahh friend, you know I´ve seen this one! But it is so good!! Could not stay away.... If you like the soft piano-melody, it reminds me of Dave Grusin in collab with the guitarist Lee Ritenour. I would highly recommend you checking these guys out, if you want feelgood music when cooking or just simply hanging out with friends. 🙂 Gotta go back and listen myself!!
Great reaction to an awesome song. I subscribed to your channel when you started Dirty Loops Monday and never miss your reactions to them. The following year, Samsung asked Jacob collier to do the same song. Although in my opinion, nobody can beat Dirty Loops.
