Wow I watched over the rainbow when it aired then later became a fan of Sierra and now I'm re watching probably the first time I herd her sing wich I forgot I had seen before, she such an amazing singer and person a true roll modle! X
the fact that this video has less than 100,000 views in 6 years while singers like Britney Spears and Katy Perry will have millions of views within hours of upload is a crime against humanity and someone should be punished.........
Maria Llamanator I went to a concert of her's this January and I got to meet her quickly and take a picture so don't lose hope!!! And I can say that she is even more magical in person.
I got to see Sierra live when she was in Phantom, and my gosh. She has one of the most amazing voices that I have ever heard in a live performance by far.
Damn I remember watching this when it first aired, completely forgot Sierra was on the show!! I went to see the winner in the final production but the stage broke down and they sent us home, I then went to see it again with runner up, both were amazing!!
Regarding the Britney Spears and Katy Perry comment. The difference between Sierra, and Spears and Perry, is that Spears and Perry are pop singers with a lot of background dancers, lights, special effects and a million dollar of sound enhancing. Sierra is has a Broadway musical voice trained in opera singing. I have see video clips of her clowning around during an informal interview where she can jump in to any song she has sung at any point and sing acapella. She can also sing pop if need be where as Spears and Perry can't sing Broadway opera.
the transitions head chest are flawless. That is what makes this rendition so superb. Jenkins is nice but its pure head and vibrato, this is vocal colors depending on emotion, bravo!
I am very pleased that Sierra has once again claimed "their" song, because in recent performances Katherine Jenkins had taken possession of it and does not belong. No one can match Sierra singing "Love Never Dies." ^^
Thanks. There are lots of vids of her singing this, but this is by far the best...And whoever decided, even Webber, to not make the LND by Sierra and Ramin, did everyone a big disservice.
She's only doing a limited engagement with The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway because she has anotehr show lined up after her run ends. It called Prince of Broadway and it will premiere later this year.
@PrettyEowyn I agree. for me its Sierra that can sing this, and noone else really. Tho Anna O'byrne isnt so bad with it either, but I do not like Katherine singing it.
When you train in Musical Theatre they go on about making your breathing quiet but Sierra uses it in her voice and it sounds beautiful. So some times training doesn't help I guess...
@GravityIsUnderated In that case I want to look that gorgeous when I'm a train wreck. Haha. Sorry, but I don't see it. I think she looks beautiful during the visit in the rehersal and the performance. In fact she's proably one of the most attractive women I've ever seen. But she's not just a pretty face. She has a massive talent and deserves the postion she's in.
Even though I did not like "The Little Mermaid" musical Sierra was very talented in the role of Ariel. She sings this song well, but the problem is the song is not memorable compared to the title song in the original "Phantom."
Check out some of Katherine Jenkins renditions of this song and you too, may agree that she uses way too much vibrato which takes away the beauty of the song. I do love Katherine Jenkins' voice, but I'm not crazy about the way she performs this. Sierra Boggess and Anna O'byrne (from the Australian production) sings it beautifully too in the DVD version. All are mega talented. For me, I prefer Sierra and then Anna O'byrne for this beautiful song.
This is absolutely beautiful. I like Katherine Jenkins too, but even though her voice is beautiful, notice that she (Katherine Jenkins) uses heavy vibrato in almost every word of the song. Seems like overkill to me. Sierra's rendition is absolutely beautiful.
