Everyone is talking about monkey fruit but can we just appreciate agave for a second

Gotta love how the same game that has Pomegunate and Flatshroom also contains Monkeyfruit and Ent.

I was wondering what Monkeyfruit would possibly cost for that much power. 300? 400? Maybe even 500 sun? 200. Instead of a lazerbean, I can get that beast.

Of course the plant based on the Monkey King would be the most broken one

Agave honestly seems like a really cool plant. I love the charging mechanic, it's very unique. Monkeyfruit is just broken. Not only can it solo an entire wave of gargantuars on one lane, it can do it before they even get halfway across the lawn. And it costs the same as a repeater. Pretty little plum seems like a good idea, but it doesn't look like its damage is good enough for it to be worth using. Dragonfruit also seems really good. He does a lot of damage for a plant that costs 150 sun and can attack in a 3x3 area. Angel starfruit is pretty much just starfruit with some more stuff added to it, like the rotating and different star types. Its plant food seems absolutely ridiculous though, it looks like it can just shred an entire wave with that plant food.

After seeing Monkeyfruit, I have to say that Arena plants aren't that broken.

Agave is a really cool looking plant, it's a neat different version of the old melee plant design where it can charge. I wonder if someone will ever put that in an international version mod, I really like it.

Pretty Little Plum is the type of plant that sounds broken in theory, but actually do nothing

As a person who has a Level 5 Monkeyfruit I can confirm it is one of the most broken plants in the game. You literally can NOT die in Endless Zones as long as you have at least one in every lane

Monkeyfruit has always been my favourite plant in the Chinese version. Sun Wukong would be proud.

Angel starfruit's plant food attack reminds me of touhou bosses and how they like to spam bullets. Glad we can harness that power.

I've seen this in other places. Anytime Sun Wukong is involved, even tangentially, it's busted. This goes double if the product is being developed by the Chinese. Sun Wukong is the baby face, everyone else is jobbers and heels.

It's also worth mentioning that agave, such as a sentry plant, have extraordinarily sharp leaves, or at least hard and pointy leaves.

Pretty Little Plum sounds like a better Starfruit, having the Star pattern at the enemy allows all 5 Petals to possibly connect, while Starfruit at most 2.

For the pretty little plum slander, I don’t think it’s a bad plant. It’s for sure not the best, but not bad. It’s meant to be a secondary attacker to chip down the weaker zombies and do some area damage. It’s not meant to be your main attacker unlike plants like monkeyfruit. It’s meant to be support.

i believe the reason why Monkeyfruit is so fucking OP is that it is based off the deity Sun Wukong, the monkey king, who, lets just say, is quite powerful. the staff is his most used weapon, and the clones are also used by him as offense, plus distraction purposes

Love the content man, but is it possible that when talking about the other Chinese plants that you could leave a small note after talking about the plants inspiration or stats/almanac entry. Could you bring up what the plant is tied to like what world/event/or something else, that the plant is tied to in Chinese plants vs zombies? It's something small that would go a long way.

Ah hell nah I just realized this might be a series that's gonna take a year and possible 2 months to finish since the original plants "specials"

i love how we go from a plant who can rip apart an entire town of gargantuars in seconds to a plant who absolutely stinks and struggles to kill a basic zombie

i feel like once you get a plant to do their plant food effect when planted with a ~% chance, it just gets most of it's usability from that (unless it's a low chance) kinda like how in some arena or penny's pursuit levels where every non-insta plant gets a first strike effect or maybe thats just me

Although Kiwifruit is OP, but it's really not a good choice to play Penny Pursuit, Memory Lane or even many other events. People usually choose other plants with more terrible power like Sling Pea lvl5 or Snapdragon lv5 and Angel Starfruit or Cactus Lv5. (This is just a some information about strategy)

Monkey fruit is legit the best attacking plant in the game.

Agave: Seems quite similar to other melee plants for me PLP: Those flowers really does turn it from a decent 225 to a bad plant especially with the explosion pattern. Dragonfruit: Basically Pepperpult but better Angel Starfruit: Cute concept that could work as basically a future plant replacement for regular Starfruit That is all, there is no blatantly lying description, Kiwi Fruit because not even the zombies are that stupid, nope, Nuh uh, not at all

Monkeyfruit's sound effect is probably the same sound used for the Torch Monk Zombie's spinning torch, hence why it only plays in Kongfu World (where Torch Monk Zombie normally appears)

Of course the plant based off THE GOAT, THE MONKEY KING is one of the best ones, rivaling and even surpassing the likes of Ent

I was wondering, do the cooldowns and sun cost not get reduced when levelling plants in the Chinese version?

Angel starfruit was one of my favorite plants back when I used to play the Chinese version of this game.

I originally thought that when pretty little plum with aloe crashed the game, I thought that the video needed to load.

Agave is also used to make tequila, hence the old name Guerrequila was used. "Guerre-" I'm guessing is taken from the word Guerrero which in Spanish means Warrior or Fighter, and "-quila" from tequila. I am a bit bummed the original name was scrapped out, maybe since it had the name of an alcoholic drink in its name.

Ent and Monkeyfruit are perfectly balanced

I'm convinced some of the Plant food effects in this version are just touhou references.
