I don't blame others but its not my fault I'm a single mom taking care of my kids without help bc my ex cheated on me and involved my kids in the affair and then HE filed for divorce behind my back. I did not get here bc I did something wrong. I did everything possible right and take care of my children. So your advice is not applicable at all. I have a successful career and a home i earn. But raising 2 kids without help or love is not easy. Period!!

Hey Ashley, I understand where you're coming from and I too was very resentful towards some people . But one day when I took ownership of my life and stop spending time thinking about the faults of others it gave me more head space to think of my own solutions. Hope one day you can see that too.

I'm glad you don't blame yourself you shouldn't. Relationships don't always work out and sometimes you never see that coming! The issue for single mums persists when they ate unsupported by the person they created the child with and you're left burdening all the duties alone. The fact you have a successful career and your home is amazing you haven't let your circumstances determine your direction.

There are people who did everything right and things still goes the wrong way. Not everything is the single mom fault. Not all victim keep on playing the victim card, some will just get back up on their own. I got a former friend who keep on changing the men in her life, and she keep on choosing the same type of guy, short tempered, high ego, alcoholic, etc.... That is her fault. Big difference there.

Sis i have to say you hit this spot on i honestly had to do these steps and i notice changes 😊 dont play victim but take ownership/responsibility of your trouble...like she said you are changing you aka leveling up and tie it in what did you do so it will not happen again...THIS WAS SOOO SPOT ON

My boyfriend and I don’t live together but we love each other very much and he is saving up to move out together and I understand how that sounds but we’ve been together for two years and now we have a newborn and I need some perspective for myself because I’m the one taking care of my baby 24/7 except when he is here or I am there on weekends. It feels like I am a single mom and I never want to blame him for this feeling at all. He is so helpful in all other ways helps us with bills and holds her the entire time we are with him. I just feel so depleted my baby is 8 months old and I really want to lose 40 pounds and I don’t get to have yoga time and self care time I’m the day because when she goes down for naps I’m so depleted that I just want to sit down or lay in bed or on the couch for that time she is sleeping she only even sleeps for 20 minutes to an hour now anyways and when she is awake she talks loud and she screens and now she’s standing and gets scared so she cry’s and even if nothing is wrong she wants to stand up on me and then sit back down and then stand up again and back down it’s so repetitive and I don’t want to feel like I don’t want her I do I really do I am just so depleted..

I listen or follow quite a lot of people, but lately they are mostly business coaches :) For personal development I consume content from Tony Robins, Oprah, Rabbi Daniel Lapin, Pastor Vlad etc

Don't live in regrets, belief that everything happens for a reason. In time you will get to see where all of these are taking you. Keep learning to be a better person each day, love and appreciate yourself and one day you will meet a guy that deserves you.

“How many times you have to be a single mother?” is the same question as “How many times you need to get divorced?”

I am only around 4 minutes from which half of that was "an introduction" and it already doesn't make sense. You are even contradicting yourself by pointing out on something being someone's fault but investigating circumestances and causes in parellel. Be careful with what you are saying online to a particular group of women because you could do more harm than good. I hope your intention was to say "it's also your fault what contributed to where you are now", because, as we know, there must be two people to tango, metaphorically speaking. Two people got married, two people conceived baby, two people argued, two people fight for relationship or two people gave up in their own way. Rarely it's only one.

Great concept, wrong wording. Yes, take responsibility for your part in your mess ups, realize the signs you ignored, learn, and move on. Dont collect red flags, and plan your life.

Im sorry but this is a bit contradicting. How can being punched in the face be your fault ? Especially of the mask comes off later in the marriage or how can it be your fault if you yourself say that it has to do with your upbringing? Nothing was ever my fault when it comes to me becoming a single mother. This is regurgitating other people’s Words and copy pasting it together and trust me i did the work, nut never ever tell me it’s my fault.

When we take ownership that it's our fault for choosing to be with this person, for staying longer than we should, for putting up longer than we need to, we can take responsibility to walk away and never be with that type of person again. Our experience teaches us lessons we can learn and develop ourselves.
