Thank you Legend! Sorry I didn’t put what I tried. I basically tried to do exactly what you did, but I kept having a tank or two get caught and pinned down. Then when trying to get them loose others would get stuck as well and it just went downhill from there. Also yes, you are right on the mechanical steed point. I forgot to take them off of those before the end turn.

If you're not playing Legendary difficulty, learn to use active pause during battles, perhaps not as regular solution but to keep up with micro, untill you will learn it.

For me campaign fatigue really is just because of the long turn times. the more we progress into the late game the slower the turn times. Coupled the fact that every turns you'll fight a micro intensive battle that's losing it will make you lose lots of progress but winning it feels not really worth or rewarding, it makes you just turn off your brain as you click on "end turn"

Not as bad as the fatigue on these disaster battles where the solution yet again on VH battle difficulty is to exploit the AI scripting into pointless chases.

For me campaign fatigue is a matter of inconsistent pressure on player, at the beginning you jumping from fire to fire, everyone declares war on you, but more powerful you get, less threatening AI becomes

Rome 1 remastered is very good on this, turn on automanage on 80% of your settlements if they are safe.

Mmm I don't experience that, the more the campaign advances the less battes I play, most are on AR I do play high tier city assaults cause the AR screws the player, and try to play vs LL for the fun Past turn 40 some if you have to play a battle it's because you made a mistake on the campaign map (not counting crisis)

i like darkest dungeon its a fun game i like to play on the side, but most success boils down to luck, where as this game is more about skill and strategy. also dark dungeon also about strategy but u know what i mean :)

Yeah he's pretty freaking amazing at this game, he can take trash units and defeat two full stacks🤔 someone so dedicated and knows all the ins and outs, while CA doesn't take advantage of his fan base nor do they collaborate with him. I understand he's just a somebody who plays the game but however he deserves to be in the mix on developing faction mechanics I bet he'd be great at it lol

@@charlesg5085 the only thing I don't like some times is when he's really cheesing the game I mean I enjoy it however I find myself trying to role play I guess. Like having artillery infantry etc, he will just take a stack of Archers and use them for 80 turns lol..Its cool that he can work but I like the balanced army

I would say he uses so many different strategies that have been able to improve my game dramatically by taking those strategies and using them with whatever army composition makes me enjoy the game the most. Without him, I would have stopped playing years ago.

Campaign fatigue really gets to you as the campaign goes on for long. Play 100 turns really makes you tired, especially when you've conquered a good chunk of the map. And when you're tired and powerful, you get overconfident, and when you get overconfident you get sloppy and forget or not notice potentially important things that would be beneficial to know. And like the Darkest Dungeon quote for the video title says, overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

Some of your units falling back while others are shooting is a standard manoeuvre technique used by militaries called 'fire and movement' or 'pepper-potting'. In-fact whilst in contact it is not advisable to manoeuvre without mutual fire support.

The more I play ordertide the more i realize how important it is to take out the enemy fast movers. The AI really loves its cavs, chariots, and dogs. That and it will break its neck to try to flank you

I tend to get campaign fatigue by around turn 60, thats usually when i start getting bored with "end game" battles, sieges and just how bad the Ai is sometimes. I hope that CA improves the Ai for future titles, its been a common problem in basically every total war game but i get the feeling that the total war setting just exacerbates it. Thats why thrones of decay was so refreshing for me, maybe the devs know as well but the campaign mechanics for all 3 LL can be completed fairly early at around turn 60 or even earlier with Malakai and Tamurkhan taking the longest

One thing I've noticed is that if you keep the tanks moving, they're virtually unkillable. Don't get them bored down. If caught in melee, always charge them to another unit. If unable to escape, get another tank to fire/charge at the ones trapping the tank to enable it to escape. I've seen a single Reikland tank defeat Grimgor(L31) in a duel,too. .

Somehow the current patch brought back the good old "chase but never hit" bug , even if you are 20 speed faster you just hump the unit you chase forever, been that way on release , fixed and now its back.

While I really love legend as a creator, recently warhammer total war has really been less and less interesting. Would love him to cover more games like Frostpunk for example. Part 2 is going to release later this month and probably be in hype. I think it would fit quite well since he already played anno on this channel

Just got Warhammer 3, started a northern Cathay campaign and am being held up by constant attacks on the great bastion. It's a serious pain killing all those Chaos factions cause my units don't replenish in the wastes and they have a ton of armies spawning randomly (I mean I'm busy destroying the chaos dwarves, the Norscans and the Vilitch or whatever his name is, the horde faction really wasn't necessary). For some reason every single battle is a loss in autoresolve and I get mostly pyrrhic victories even though I only lose a handful men in a battle. I'm having a great time.

You're not supposed to expand through the chaos wastes(thematically correct and the climate is red). There is a building that reduces upkeep cost so you can keep your armies stationed there. Spamming ranged units makes AR easier considering you can upgrade the garrison of the bastion anyway. After turn 50 max, Vilitch and Zhatan should be completely gone and then all you have to deal with is the random chaos incursion.

If you’re gonna play Empire Armored Division, you gotta play it like an actual armored division. You need steam tanks, land ships for the mid line, and mobile artillery like mortar wagons.

I actually think legend overkited this, he basically won the battle by min 10 the damage was done, could've sent the tanks to blob and win and get full replenish next turn, which leads me to believe the file owner didn't even shoot the volleys guns even once, he just sat there waiting for the orc reinforcements to blob at max range, ie trolling a fake disaster battle. If I recruit a full handgunner army and send them to melee a full savage orc army I'm not having a disaster battle I'm having a smoothbrain moment.

You are so good at this game and disaster battles, I'd like to see an example of one you can't beat. Not a settlement garrison vs. 3 stacks kind of can't, but something you can't to just provide scale. You teach me how to be good, but what is something skill can't overcome in this game?

The problem is that battles that skill can't overcome are usually immensely boring. Battles where I've got nothing but tier 1 infantry with a lvl 1 lord and there's no spells or abilities going up against 2 or more full stacks of higher tier units is just me watching as the game grinds down the army. It's not fun for me and it'll be boring for you because you're not going to learn anything. I don't mind showing defeats but there's gotta be something to take away from the battle that makes the defeat worth taking. Those battles are extremely rare.

def winnable. i won with gelt against clan eshin 4 full stacks against me. fortunately, i had seen legends first steamtank doomstack with the fast speeds, and so i simply kited the 4 armies back and forth, back and forth and eventually army lossed them while losing none of my own.

Hmm, if i had some problems in this battle, i'd just use the winds of magic and ammo, maybe some charges in and then heal, then retreat, then fight again.
