My 350Z: Full bolt ons at last! K&N Drop-In Intake Motordyne 5/16 Plenum Spacer, MREV2 Stillen Headers, Hi-Flow Cats, Exhaust Uprev Tune Note: There's lots of "smoke" because it was bloody cold. There's nothing wrong.
It's a version of Clint Mansell's "Lux Aeterna" (originally from Requiem For a Dream), rearranged for the Lord of The Rings: Two Towers trailer - the song is often called "Requiem For a Tower".
Thanks! I actually only did the installation of the intake, spacer, and MREV2. While I could have done the rest, technically, I left it to the guys with more experience and fancier tools. The hardest part -the headers - were flawlessly installed by Failsafe Performance in Tulsa. As far as dyno, I just got the headers the other day and haven't been able to find out yet. Before this, it put down about 271whp. I'm hoping this puts me above 280. Either way, the car definitely feels more powerful.
Thanks :D Yeah, rasp was the one thing in this setup that I wasn't terribly thrilled about. I've discovered it's a large function of the exhaust itself, and your best bet at avoiding it is to find other people who have the same exhaust with the mods you're considering and see how it sounds. It's surprisingly reliable. I did a quick search, and I think you'd still keep that badass sound... man that HKS sound is just mean.
lol badass video! i liked it all bro but the reason why im afraid of headers and hfc is that slight rasp. i have the hks exhaust on mine but even though i know i'll gain good power out of test pipes or headers im scared i'll loose the badass sound my car has right now. it sounds super deep right now
If you have the money, you could go the route of Motordyne ART pipes. They're basically test pipes that sound even better than HFCs or test pipes, give better performance than both, and really don't give much rasp. The only catch is that they're $660 right now. If you're interested, you should check out a couple of my more recent videos (I just got them :D)
