Hi guys doing a great job and big pat on the back for having a go at it all. Couple of quick tips with HEP2O either use the HEP2O spray when pushing together or quick spit or lick. Otherwise you are pushing in against a dry rubber o-ring and they can fail. Also keep saying to yourself put in an insert, put in an insert, put in an insert. It is easy to get excited and forget. I have and it is a pain. Second one is HEP20 do manifolds mainly for use with Central Heating but where you are thinking about multiple tee joints use a manifold instead reduces number of connections. Use the HEP2O stop taps as they are full bore but only quarter of a turn to turn off great if you have to do any repairs. Also use one of the HEP2O ball valves at first from tank and another after the filter so you can just switch off that length to repair pumps, accumulators filters etc, also put small in line filter before pump. Going back a video or two the socket and 12v outlet in the bulkhead you ran 12v and 240v through the same hole. You shouldn’t do this and the 12v needs to be in conduit if you are running adjacent to 240v ac voltage. Worth buying yourself a copy of the ISO regs for small craft or borrowing a copy. ISO 10133 for DC and 13297 for AC.
@ItsOhJoe
@ItsOhJoe 2 года назад
Thanks Pete, didn’t know about the manifolds that may work better like said less joins! We’ve got a valve straight out of the tank but forgot one after the pump, can fit one in after the accumulator without much hassle! Thanks for the tips!

I think the word you are searching to find for the attachment on your Dads new (to him) piece of kit is spindle moulder, please please if using take extra care , many carpenters/joiners dating back to my apprenticeship (late 50,s early 60,s) had lost finger tips one these most deadly machines in the joinery industry, a hand held router is safer on the hands ! Please take care and a word to you Dad some of the joinery in the vid clip looks fantastic obviously a man craftsman. Congratulation on your work to-date keep it up. I suggest you put the water filter /strainer before the pump to protect the pump impellor....plus less likelyhood to leak at lower pressure
@ItsOhJoe
@ItsOhJoe 2 года назад
So the pump came with its own filter, I would install the other filter in between the pump and water tank but space constraints anywhere closer to the tank make it unfeasible - I’d imagine it harder to prime whenever you run out of water also. Fingers crossed on the leaks though!

Regarding the gaps in your floorboards, what do you think about cork strips. You could buy cork tiles and cut the strips with a Stanley knife to the required gaps as, I’m sure they will differ slightly. Also, they will cushion any swelling of the boards and are easy to clean. Might be a rubbish idea, just thought I’d suggest it.

That’s true on the undercoat. Ref the trim, due to the minimum width of 100mm required to cover the gap you’re sort of limited to skirting and I think putting skirting on the ceiling will always look like skirting on the ceiling, for me anyway! 😂
