I hope you are all having a beautiful weekend! I also wanted to let you know that on the Laura Geller website, I did take the shade matching quiz and they matched me up with Fair. What's confusing is that it's supposed to have neutral undertones? And the serum blush literally disappeared on my face after an hour lol! I'm happy to read the positive comments and experiences that some of you had with LG products! Remember, we're all different, but beautiful! Much love, Cat xoxo

Hi Cat! I wanted to like LG makeup so badly, but it truly just made my face look dirty! It looked too orange/brown and I also had the color Fair. Fair foundations always work for me, but not LG. I had bought an entire kit off the LG website, and I returned it all! I tried it over and over! When I took selfies with the product on, I looked like I was a child with a dirty face! And I’m 64!

Hi, Cat! I enjoy a lot of Laura Geller's products. I find that her balance and brighten baked foundation runs a shade darker than you would think. I'm the dark end of fair, and I use the porcelain. Actually I use this as a kind of finishing powder over a cream or liquid foundation because it doesn't really give me enough coverage. You might enjoy her lipsticks, eyeshadows or baked highlighters (like French vanilla). She's also known for her Spackle primer. I loved her champagne one for a soft champagne glow.

Thank you for your honest review! I bought a small haul of Laura Gellar products and wanted to love them, but like you, the shades were too orange/muddy and cakey on me. I'll be sticking to Bare Minerals for now. 😔

Hi Cat. Girl! I agree with you on Laura's powder foundation. In my case, fair is too light, the light is too orange. I use the medium sometimes in the summer.

You still are absolutely stunning! 💖 even with the subpar products you were working with. You really pulled it out in the end. I can’t believe how that Laura Geller foundation turned soooo orange! I had that on my list but taking it off asap. I have a problem with foundations oxidizing on me so I’m sure I would be in oompa loompah land if I tried it. The shadow look turned out but wow what a struggle to get there!! How disappointing especially for the price of that palette. Never know with Haus Labs. Hits and misses with them. Their lip oil is my absolute favorite. I have others that I used but the Haus Labs is my go to whenever I go anywhere. The blush is so pretty but what the heck??! Doesn’t matter how pretty if it disappears with just a bit of setting powder 🤦‍♀️ thank you for testing these products and spending your $$ so we don’t have to ❤ I always look forward to and appreciate your honest thoughts and opinions! I have used the Laura Gellar for many years and I love it!! I do medium in the winter, and darker in the summer.

I am sorry that you experienced so much disappointment with your results, however, I didn't think it was a complete disaster as you look beautiful. It might be possible that your underlying skin products could have an interaction with the LG foundation. I do suggest the Porcelain for the Balance and Brighten foundation powder. Yes, you can look a little ghostly at first....just use the Light Bronzer and Brighten as well as the Porcelain/Light Baked setting powder and you should have the great match you are looking for. I have very fair skin with rosacia, broken capillaries, and age spots...colors are corrected and blemishes are neutralized with my face and neck tones matching. I am 60 yrs old with very dry skin so I also use LG moisterizing spackle primer too. I just love the Laura Geller line! All my best to you.

It is so disappointing to purchase something new and then find out it just doesn’t work, so thanks for trying these products. The blush was very pretty. Too bad it doesn’t stay in place. And a definite pass on the Haus Labs shadow. Based on your glowing reviews of Natasha Denona pallettes I am planning to give one a try. Always enjoy your videos Cat!

Laura Geller shade fair is described as a cool pink which mixed with your warm undertone makes orange. Porcelain is neutral, Light is described as warm, and Medium is neutral

I've been a fan of Laura Geller products for quite some time so your thumbnail had me a little worried. 😕 I only use powder foundation in the summer when the weather is very humid. It doesn't crease or get cakey. When using the Baked, Balance & Brighten powder, I usually use a shade deeper than what I'd use for setting makeup. I do a swirling motion on the skin for even coverage with no skipped areas. I've never used the "color-correcting" formula so maybe the shades are different from their regular formula.

The LG foundation had a bit of a learning curve for me. I had to find the right brushes and the proper technique of application for me. In my case it's using either the elf duo complexion brush or the bdellium 968 and gently pressing or tapping light layers on, instead of sweeping or buffing. You are correct about skin prep, what you put on under this stuff can make a huge difference.

Hi Cat, I used to use Laura Geller years ago. Used Bare Minerals and love that. I have been using serum foundations and recently started using Laura Geller again baked and brighten in medium. I like it. Perhaps you should take it back and get a different shade. I have to say you had a hard time with the foundation and eyeshadows but the end result you look fantastic. hey Cat! 🙋🏻‍♀️ but wait, there's more! 😁 first off, I'm on the same boat, I'd never tried LG products up until recently, talking about overhyped products 😬 I got the Balance N Brighten foundation, two baked blushes, a bronzer, her new-ish (?) eyeshadow palette, a lip balm, and a lip gloss. In short: the standouts were definitely the baked blushes 😍 the rest were mediocre at best, the biggest disappointment (just like the Haus Labs one) was the eyeshadow palette, and you know what? I just got one of the 8-pan new eyeshadow palettes from Catrice, it's called The Cozy Earth, very similar color story to the LG's but way better quality, no kidding! for much less 💵 ... anyway, somehow you made everything work, you look beautiful, as always... big hug 💜🤗

Hi Cat….how disappointing the Haus Labs palette was. It’s interesting how the swatches on your hand didn’t reflect as beautifully on your eyes. And that shade was def not brown. The Natasha Denona on the other hand looked gorgeous!! Can’t wait till you try it out. I finally found the Wet N Wild Primer Serum for pores and I love it. Thank you for recommending it. Ooo, that’s a bummer. I tried the baked powder foundation on two different times in my life, and it was a definite No, from me. I, too got fair and it was too dark on me! So I tried porcelain and it just wasn’t great. It also became cakey. However, I do like her highlighter, it’s gorgeous!

I have the B& B foundation and I am still on the fence about it. I have fair and the compact i got is not orange but every container they make is different. Not consistent. It doesnt hide all the redness around my nose but helps slightly. For a no makeup look this works. I bought it from Ebay because the LG website customers reported it is horrible. If the company is horrible to their customers, I dont know if i am on board with buying from them.

Please try the Laura geller foundation in a different shade the undertones are different. I’m like you and I noticed that the light is warm toned and medium was more neutral it looked better on me but I wonder if porcelain would be better! Please do another video!!!!

I had that Balance and Brighten when I was in my 30's. I found mine...not sure why I have it still. It is in "regular". Thanks for turning down the lights sometimes! Since that is supposed to go to your tone, does that mean you are secretly orange?😂 Love the video

Hi Cat! You just said something I never paid attention to nor followed: Basically we change our makeup color stories to fit the seasons like clothes. I guess I’m the rebel! I've tried Laura Gellar foundation and I hate it. The color is wrong and it made my skin look terrible. I know a lot like her products but I'm definitely not a fan with any of the products I've tried.

With the laura geller you should exchange it for porcelain. That one is not orange. I use it mainly to set my makeup at times but it's not my favorite and definately can't use it as foundation cause I'm so dry. Her serum blush though is so good. I picked them up at QVC when they first came out and they are so good. Lately I've been obsessed with any liquid blush and I have to buy them all.

She reformulated her powder foundation. Lots of people complain about the colors. I bought fair and medium. I can kinda wear either shade. I don't like her concealer. It's drying.

I have to say I’m not at all impressed with the eyeshadow palette. Perfect example of finger swatches don’t tell the whole tale. Hope you’re having an awesome Fall Tennessee neighbor 🍂🎃🔥

Why would you be using the Fair shade on your medium olive skin tone? Of course it’s not gonna be right. You need medium.

I too have a medium skintone with an olive undertone, I tried the medium shade and I ended up looking like an Oompa Loompa 😬 it was dark and orange, not a fan

@@neneg.4264 Obviously you need to be color matched 🤣 Seems you can’t pick your own shade. Try the light, that’s more neutral. Cat had Fair which is for Porcelain skin! Lol don’t get that 1.

@@belindafischer2920 I'm guessing you don't have an olive undertone cuz it's difficult to find a good shade match, most foundations pull orange, or peachy, unless they have a TRUE neutral undertone, which is what suits me the best, I did get the shade Light and though is better than the Medium, it stills looks on the peachy side... I also ordered one of her bronzers, which claims not to look orange, but it does, at least on me
