They are awesome live. I drove almost 8 hours to Chicago to see them about 6 or 7 years ago and it was worth it. It was in a small club so I was able to get right up to the stage for the show. Even got to give Blitz a fist bump. It was badass. Saw them again in Nashville,Tn a few years ago also. It was in a small club also so again I was able to get right up to the stage for the show.
Anthrax is ahead of Metallica in any aspect: drum skills, bass, better vocals, decent solos, and splendid riffs(tracks like Armed & Dangerous, Be All End All, Gung-Ho, Death Rider, Out of Sight Out of Mind, Caught in Mosh, I am the Law prove Anthrax's prowess in riff-work, drumming, vocals etc.)
Alot of people I know are really into Horrorscope and their albums before that. But for my money, Killing Kind was just downright mean and brutal! What a way to kick off an album! THE BATTLE!!
Even more so is the the album I hear Black TOTALLY under the radar.Got it.Got them all. This is the band, AFTER seeing them LIVE, sparked me to go out and get a guitar and get it going....love that DONT GIVE A FUCK UnderGROUND DIY ATTITUDE!!!
i think i said it in another clip but they re underated only if you are into linkin park and nickelback and the alikes overkill is HUGE everyone that loves thrash metal knows em, respects em and likes em a lot
I agree. I had never heard of them when was only into some emo shit and stuff, but now when I've started listening to trash I lots of people who are into Overkill and I know it's popular.
The Killing Kind, perhaps the most underated Overkill album of them all. A grittier production might have helped it i think. Good sound on here though.
