At 63 years old Blitz is still one of the very best singers in metal. He gargles with gravel yet is able to blend melody and ferocity in a way so few others have ever been able to do. The song is killer and the band sounds great. Another ripper from a band that refuses to get old.

I'm 54 and have been listening to this band since high school. Through all the line-up changes over the years, Blitz has kept this ship upright and NEVER compromised to the many changing musical landscapes.

I'm glad that Overkill, Megadeth, Exodus, Testament, Kreator, AND even Metallica are still putting out music. They're all 80's Thrash legends and there's something to like from all their newest albums imo.

goddamn bobby is 64 years old, let that sink in while the band has never gone on hiatus or disbanded. these guys are extremely confident in their music and very good friends with each other to have been with each other since 1980's and onwards!

Overkill has one of the most memorable bass lines in thrash i can ever remember. Don't get me wrong everything in this band is fantastic, but the bass guitar is a killer! 🤘

Gather around kiddies. Long, long ago in a time called the 80s, there was this music called "thrash" . Time went on and some bands got famous and some of them got old and complacent. And some became the crazy old guy down the street. Thrash never dies, long live the geezers!

All these old-school thrash/metal bands putting out new stuff over the past few years are really nailing the hell out of it, showing the new/modern bands how HEAVY metal is *supposed* to be done. Overkill, Exhorder, Testament, Metal Church (RIP Mike Howe), etc. Seriously, EVERY time one of these bands from back in the day comes out with some new stuff, you can guarantee, it's gonna be solid fk'n gold! \,,/(- -)\,,/

That breakdown in the middle with the weird killer solo...That's what made the song stand out for me. Overkill is always innovating while staying true to thrash. But of course all we're gonna hear about for the next year is the new Metallica album, even though they could never release a song this good now.

Same here almost 54 , Overkill is still by far one of my favorites . Still throwing it out of the years. Love it. My Mother says to this day. Do you still listen to that music, and I say yes I do.

I think Testament and Overkill hold the flag of thrash high nowadays. The same spirit and atmosphere back from 80's. Good vocals, lyrics and music. Underrated for sure. Only the "big-4" take credits.

Holy crap. They sound as good as ever! With production as killer as ever too: there's that distinctive bass we've come to know & love in Overkill songs (& be able to HEAR in this style of metal). Another savage speedmetal song from masters of the craft.

Been jamming to Overkill since Taking Over. Blitz has been awesome everyone I met him or watched them play. DD bass shredding has always been intense. I see a million views. I hope overkill gets radio play and recognized for the “Years of Decay” they have put into there music. Spread the word or get scorched!

This song is crushing… this album is crushing. It came out the same day as Metallica’s new album. The first two things I noticed between the two were the guitar tones and the drumming. Though Metallica tried to speed it up and go back somewhat to their thrash roots, the guitar tone is flat and each song is way too long. They don’t know how to end it. Overkill has a much better guitar tone and time changes to keep you engaged. And the drums? Well Bittner just blows away Ulrich. This album is way better than the new Metallica in my opinion. Waaaay better to my ears. Gets me pumped. Metallica starts off good in some songs and then just keeps going and going with the same riffs. And Bobby belting it out at 63 like he is? Wow.

The Big Six of Thrash Metal is Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Exodus, Testament and Overkill. Enough said!
