Part 1 of our 2023 Overland trip to the French and Spanish Pyrenees.. this was an amazing trip through the mountains and all the small villages and towns in a pair of modified Landrover Discoveries... Music: www.purple-planet.com
I am very glad you enjoyed part one of our pyrenees trip...Part 2 should be out this weekend and it was an amazing trip and we all thoroughly enjoyed every part of it..
Hi there...the trip was absolutely fantastic really cannot wait to go on the next trip...i hope you get to do the pyrenees next year as you will thoroughly enjoy it...
A standard land cruiser will do all the tracks in the pyrenees as the locals tend to run Ford Mavericks which are all unmodified and they have no problems so your land cruiser is definately up to it..
Looks like a great trip guys, I can’t wait to go back to the Pyrenees but I’ve got Morocco to do first in April, will probably plan a Pyrenees trip after that. Looking forward to part 2 👍🏔️🌞
The pyrenees is great...this last trip will be the fourth time we have been..but we are now planning a trip to Morocco ourselves but first we have to go the the Overland show in Germany in May next year..
@@All4Overland We looked at Morocco for next year but with the earthquake think they will want longer to get that sorted, 2025 for us i think.. or maybe Oct 24 we shall see
Great video, lots of familiar places in there, we wild camped close to 13 mins in. Not a great fan of Bardenes went in 2022 spent two days getting dust out of the 110. you are very correct with planning a trip, just GO, Pyrenees is awesome we are already looking at dates for 2024. Top tip use the ferry from Plymouth to Santander only a 20 hour crossing instead of the 33 on the portsmouth bilbao route. Looking forward to part 2. How did you get on with Garmin Overlander ? Will check Wikiloc see if you touched any of the trails we did in May ,23. We spent over 80% of our 2 week trip off road. Roll on next year
HI there...glad you enjoyed the episode...we did not do any wild camping on this trip due to the mosquitos were really bad so retreated back to a campsite everyday but still thoroughly enjoyed the trip we are already planning our next trip...don't know if it will be the pyrenees or Portugal but the santander boat is alot quicker but we did quite enjoy the short crossing to St Malo as it was only 10 hours so might do that again and do the extra driving through France...really like the Garmin overlander but does take a bit of getting used to though as still learning new features on it..would recommend getting one though...
Keep looking at the Garmin Tread but they are some £££... cost of a trip to Spain...lol we normally use the ipad with sim built in with Spanish sim inserted, mid way watching your part 2. Def we trod and drove some of the same trails as we did the roman ruins as well @@All4Overland
I looked at the garmin tread but like you say its very expensive but the garmin overlander does everything that i want it to do...so for me it was the better option..the route we did, at least the first part was the trans pyrenean route which is a well documented route..hope you enjoyed the episdode
Hi..yes the only reason we run the discos we have got is cos we have got them....in the next few months we will be opening trips up to any capable vehicles..so stay tuned to the channel..
Its definately a possibility you saw them in Portugal as they were travelling all over not sure where they were going though...but definately having fun doing it lol..
@@All4Overland thanks mate will take a look we been waiting to see the videos from your trip to get us inspire to go next year lol 😂 Looking out for part 2 and 3 😉
@@NORTHWEST4X4ADVENTURES be careful @raptorsgarageog videos of 2019 inspired us to go in 2022 and then once you have been you are hooked, great wheeling with tonnes of trails and no hassles. went in May 2023 planning May 2024 now ...Wikiloc's will give you inspiration to go when you look at how many trails there are compared to the UK
We just booked a ferry and went with the landy and the Missus and me in may 2022, raves about it so much went again and took a mate as well in may looking now at may 2024…just get it booked rural Spain is empty hardly see a soul, just no fires
Loving the videos, im planning a similar trip with my lad this year, quick question, pretty standard Hilux Surf with a 2" lift Man enough for the trip?
Hi...A surf with a 2" lift will do all the tracks no problem at all...pretty much all the tracks you could do in a standard vehicle as theres only a handful of remote tracks which are challenging...
Theres no issues with fuel stations they are plentiful...if you can't find one you can always use the agricultural filling stations that all the farms use..
