Give people a common purpose, pride in what they do, no matter what it is. National service is mostly considered an enlistment in the military but it should also involve civic works. We tried to half heartedly fund a program for this, but it’s all but forgotten. We need to re-invigorate programs to improve our cities and towns. Give people opportunity and job skills. Maybe even teach them how to manage money. All the best things that we removed from a high school education. Where now all they teach is to consume with debt.

With numerous border guards tied up in processing paperwork to allow illegal migrant men, women, and children to enter the country from 150 different nations around the globe, there are not enough resources to patrol the 1,954 mile southern border. All resources are going to assist in the humanitarian crisis, with little resources left to contain the fentanyl, criminals, and terrorists who are crossing. Thousands of global criminals and terrorists are roaming around this country, and our government has no idea of the threat level they possess. Many American states have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to fund their National Guard and state security departments to try to stem this critical problem, with little help from the Federal Government. The only help President Joe Biden provided was to spend the first two days in the oval office reviewing and revoking any measures that the former President put in place to prevent chaos along the Southern border. And now he is silently selling all building material needed to complete the security wall along the southern border. A security wall is a defensive action to force all migrants to enter in selected locations, so the border patrol agents can have better control over who enters this country. Criminals , smugglers, and terrorists do not like to show documentation, have pictures taken of themselves or give any biometric data to the American government. The Mexican cartel does not like to spend the resources to devise ways to cross a high fence. It is much easier for the Mexican cartel to help the terrorists, criminals, and drug smugglers to find the right place to walk across the open border at their time of choosing and location, especially when you have 1,954 border miles to evaluate. For the Mexican cartel it is a very profitable multi-billion dollar enterprise. For American states, cities ( such as NYC), and communities it is a multi-billion dollar drain on resources to house, feed, educate, and provide emergency medical care to immigrants. It is also a multi-billion dollar medical and mental issue for Americans on hard core drugs (like fentanyl), as many will die and many will suffer a wasted lifetime. It is tough to be a political leader in a city when your President has a [ no action - no comment - don't care ] immigration policy. And he wants to continue with these policies for the next four years?
