I own a landscaping business & pull an enclosed trailer all the time with my 2010 Tundra. I also have a 6x12 dump trailer that weighs over 10,000 loaded at times. I have the same air bags as you too. I have never been more satisfied with a truck or a mod as I am with the Tundra & bag setup! Best trucks on the road hands down.
No not in NFLD but on Vancouver Island on other warmer side of Canada with plus 12 degrees. I wish I was in Newfoundland the most desirable place to be.
sealtite87 Yeah it’s weird to think the Tundra is a 4.30 rear end and the other guys use 3.15,3.331,3.55 and consider there max tow 3.73. She def gets up and goes!
The bed on my '17 Tundra Crewmax is 5' wide rail to rail, 5'3" long inside, 43"tall to top of roof.. that calcs out to about 92 cubic feet. But that's if it was square and not a sloping pile. Not to mention it's not stacked or accounting for wheel wells. A cord is 128 cubic feet... taking lunch and thought I'd calc it out lol. Stacked, I'd say you have half a cord, 1600#-2000#. I hope you're not selling loads like that as cords or you could get yourself in a lot of trouble... but I'll definitely be shopping for that air bag system.
How does the air affect ride in the 250? Factory suspension seems to be doing its job well on mine even with a half loaded dump or one of the enclosed trailers? Does it just smooth it out?
Joshua Russell Oh yeah the ride is heat. If your only towing 5-7000lbs then the airbags aren’t really required but they do make it feel better. When your towing heavy weight it is honestly day and night man! Very confident inspiring!! Like I said if you have them you can’t go back!
I tow a 8500 pound 32 foot travel trailer with my 2014 and probably sit about 10 thousand when loaded plus a 400 pound r1 in the bed my trucks rated 10200 according to my door weight and I need to get this it squats my truck a good amount towed from west virginia back to my home in California it did it fine no power issue got me home no problems
@Allyn Howell i didn't want to be mean cause the video is informative about the bags, in fact i ordered them, but here in Oregon he'd get ridiculed out of town for calling that over a cord and over 3,000 #. I think you're closer at guessing a third cord.
I have a 2014 with airbags, and no compressor mounted, I have to fill them manually, does anyone know the psi I should be looking for? I just don’t want to fill them too much and blow them out. Any advice is appreciated lol
Great video, thanks for sharing. I just bought a 2014 Limited Crew Max. I'm in the market for some air bags. I'm very impressed with your truck, thats a lot of weight you had on there. How is the ride on a smooth road when the truck is unloaded and bags at 5psi? Great truck you have there!
You can throw more white than that that's nothing compared it my dad has a 2003 Toyota Tundra I will pull up to 5,000 pounds in the bed like nothing is sad but like I don't have nothing in there
My 4.6 f150 with 327000 miles does perfectly fine without airbags, we’ll I did install helper springs. I do use that as one of my landscaping trucks. I had more fire wood than you and it did not weigh more than 1900 pounds. I usually load a 3200 of ricks or 2.5 yards of soil. The weight on that varies from 909 a yard to 1700 pounds a yard. I use my Toyota as a personal but I can’t wait to see it as a daily work truck.
@@workplaytv right! My bad. Most of the Tacomas I see have the short beds. Some wood in a 6.5 foot bed overloads a truck.. that's sad, but I understand that's not what the truck was designed to do. Those airbags do wonders though. I use them to supplement sagging springs since they are so much easier to install compared to breaking loose 25 years worth of MN rust to replace the springs.
Try looking at your owner’s manual. As “un-manly” as it is to do, you will notice that the tundra is rated at 1985/1980 pounds payload. 🤔 Hmmm? That’s how short of a one ton? Toyota playing games with NTSB and all the rip-off insurance companies👍👍
