Asking if there's a favorite is hard. They develop the characters. And explaining their personalities and motives would almost be spoilers. The bearded butler, the young tomboy elf, and bone daddy are my favorite. And yes, watch Overlord.
If you like darker fantasy you may enjoy this. To not spoil much while comparing. The MC is suddenly in a fantasy world similar to a game he played and is now his game character. Main character is the skeleton. He is powerful like many isekai anime MCs. But this anime has a unique amusing aspect. Main has 2 different voices. One when thinking and one when speaking. Being a skeleton, his jaw does not often move, so it's a nice touch to help us understand and enjoy the character more.
Explaining Overlord [Without Spoilers] This is a dark fantasy show and is kind of similar to SAO but not exactly . It is year 2126 and a MMO-RPG game Yggdrasil which was really popular for so many years has finally come to the time where it is ending . All its servers are shutting down and everything . People are leaving the game behind and move on in life as one man in still behind and is feeling nostalgic of how much his guild had putten effort in the game and how he was the guilds leader and many of the guild members have even spended real money on the game . Walking through the massive guild's hallways and the throne room the character takes the NPC's with him and then sits on the throne seat and closes his eyes as the final seconds of the server are ticking . But...He opens his eyes and realizes the server is still here and he is still in the game as his game character but suddenly...everything is feeling a bit wayyyy to realistic... As I mentioned the story is more of a dark fantasy . This story also have moments that may feel a bit disturbing [Because its PRETTY messed up] . This is the type of story which is "What if the main protagonist was the main antagonist himself?" . This show is based on a light novel just like SAO and many others . Light Novels are always tend to get an animation with story getting cut short . Sometimes information which could\couldn't be relevant is skipped when light novels are animated . Despite all that , the anime is still pretty good . The show has many , many , MANY races in it too . All kinds of fantasy creatures and races are in it .
@@BenBenReacts to be more precise about the "genre" Overlord is a dark fantasy, comedic drama. Characters are introduced and most of the conflict is about how to deal with the strange situation that such a powerfull "enemy" has suddenly been dropped into the world, while said "enemy" feels pretty overwhelmed at his new position. IF you love world building, you will lvoe overlord.
The basic premise of the story is about a guy in a VR game getting isekai'd along with his guild base into a fantasy world. It's mainly focused on management, kingdom building, politics and how the world responds to the mc and vice versa. That's not to say there aren't great fights. I've seen people say it's similar to SAO but honestly aside from the VR, they're very different. Two things I like about Overlord over SAO: 1. The mc is pragmatic and cautious but he's not a natural genius. 2. We see this somewhat realistic ripple effect from the mc's actions and the way things effect each other is just *chef's kiss*
Thinking of something similar is surprisingly hard, but I would maybe say G.A.T.E. Although premises are quite different I can see quite a few overlapping themes on how most characters are some shade of gray instead of clear black and white
This anime similar to Log Horizon than SAO....but the different is not the MC get isekaied, but the Tomb of Nazarick and all inside it get isekaied, and the MC want world domination not bring peace to the new world😂
I believe you never see anime like this because this anime is where the mc is actually the vallain of this world, perhaps there few similarities with other anime but not really show what this is about. And i guess you never se van Helsing anime either
You might be able to find it on RU-vid, but did you know that, with you at Syrup Village and having finished it, you've now missed the first two One Piece movies?;)
Well, the first two are hard but not impossible to find. First one just has Luffy, Zoro, and Nami. And second one has Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp. @@BenBenReacts
