Lupusregina conjured thirty Redcaps that were estimated to be level 43. She also heavily hinted on the fact that these Redcaps are the lowest-leveled goblins summonable in Nazarick's library. Which means that there are stronger goblins elsewhere in the new world. Enri is going to be too OP (in the new world).

Based on history and the numbers they gave the breakdown of the army would look somewhat like this assuming about 5,000 strong then adding in (original population of the town, the original summoned goblins, and the 3-5 remaining ogres) I am discounting anyone that entered after the original goblin summon. (1 Strategist, 1-4 Forecaster, 5-7 Blacksmith) total here must be 12 17 paladins (told the number) 5 bombardment (told the number) 5-7 assassin (based on size of the army and need) 13 redcaps (told the number) 40-80 drummers (two to four companies of 20) 2250 heavy Infantry (main unit) 1250 archers (main ranged unit) 75-150 medical (based on size of the army) 755-830 beast riders (main cavalry unit) 500 magic support unit (defensive and offensive) 19 lesser goblins (original summon) 3-5 ogres (up to two may have died in the battle) 40-75 humans (original human population of town after original goblin summon) Total: 5,063 - 5,190 Add in another 772 - 847 for the wolves the paladins and beast riders are on if calculating for amount of food needed and/or amount of monsters summoned. The goblin strategist was based on Chinese famous strategist from the Shu Kingdom Zhuge Liang. The Shu Emperor had to visit him 3 times just to get him to work for him. He then together with Pang Tong and Fa Zheng are VITALS to the Shu kingdom. Too bad, Pang Tong and Fa Zheng passed away too soon and Zhuge Liang had to shoulder A LOT of the burden though after Liu Bei's death, he remained the heart of Shu until he passed away. That marked the fall of the Shu Kingdom. Edit: Also, Liu Bei trusted him to the point at his last moment when he talked to Zhuge Liang: "You're ten times more talented than Cao Pi, and capable of both securing the country and accomplishing our great mission. If my son can be assisted, then assist him. If he proves incompetent, then you may take over the throne."
I pay to watch tho.. but i dont complain about the bad CGI as long as the story is portrayed properly so i have the right to be mad if they cut some details
For me there was only 1 unit that were 'bad' in my opinion. Those bombardment squad. That said minor issue and fingers crossed will be fixed for the blu-ray. From memory this was the ep that was delayed 1 day
this army is so cool when it first show up xD i just love the Goblin Strategist (his design is base on this famous chinese strategist named Zhuge Liang) with his little fan to his clothes... so awesome
Heavy Infantry Corps = Heavy infantry (duh) - Bulk of the army, heavy armored assault, steamrolls the front and protects the back squads Paladin-Knight Squad = Mounted heavy cavalry - Protects the flank, cuts through enemy light infantry Beast Rider Corps = Fast scout cavalry - Harasses the enemy, picks off enemy cavalry, hit-and-run skirmishers Longbowman Corps = Ranged attack / siege - They're archers. Not much to say. Is the enemy alive? Yes? Shoot more arrows. Magic Support Corps = Support unit - Buffs allies, debuffs enemies, and ranged attack Magic Bombardment Squad = Heavy magic artillery - Big booms make enemy go bye bye. Goblin Drum Corps = Signal drummers - Drums keep the army in line and signal orders to the ranks, plus I think they might be like bards in D&D? Assassin Squad = Assassins (duh) - Target enemy leadership and sow dissension in the enemy ranks Redcaps = Bodyguards / Specialized units - These guys are special. Each one is stronger than a Death Knight. DKs are at Lvl 35, and these guys sit at around Lvl 42 or so. Real killers. Plus Zhuge Liang of course. I wonder if Ainz will decide to do more research with the goblin horns he has, now. They were considered a common trash item in game, so Ainz has a ton of them saved up.
*spit take* Redcaps are stronger than Death Knights?! And she summoned 13 of them!? Enri needs a spinoff series about herself. Do they ever give exact numbers of each squad? Other than the Redcaps? Also, if you go by the math thus far with it going from 20 to 5000, potentially the next horn she uses after some more leveling could potentially summon a force of 1,250,000 super powerful goblins.
@Thelondonbadger obviously. I just hope they were able to save most of them. They WERE her original summons. Not to mention, imagine how strong those ogres could get if they undergo training with the rest of the goblin army now. Also, yeah i would hope Ainz helps her out with this, because she is in a very similar situation to him except she lacks the resources and experience he does. I heard he DOES contribute to helping feed and supply her troops but I do not know if he gives her any more horns. (I hope he does, but he might not out of fear of her army growing large enough to rival his own.) As for the strength thing, yeah i heard Enri's goblin army has become the 3rd most powerful in their world second only to Nazarick and the Slane Theocracy. Basically, if Enri somehow acquired a world level item she would be able to go toe to toe with at least the number 2 army. (Not Nazarick since they consider themselves his vassals/subjects)
the 3 requirements were most likely the ability to show organisational leadership skill leading up to becoming the village chief , care for the coblins as is obtain a title like respected by goblins as she treated them like any other person living in the village and lastly the courage to stand against a greater foe and put your life on the line to protect your people . ( courage, leadership and self sacrifice ) and with those virtues combines she called ..Captain planet ... err uhmm .. the Goblin Army
Taking in mind the strategist looks like Zhuge Liang I think those virtues make reference to Liu Bei. Enri has all his virtues and also was in desperate need of such army.
Maybe the requirements are 1)use one horn. 2)build repor with your first goblin forces and command each one effectively. 3)expand your army and territory and win one battle with your first goblin forces. Then you get the goblin army of 5000 since ur basicly a goblin commander at that point
Probably be more than that since the first time she summoned what 19? Then 5000 which is like 263 times that many so if it goes up by the same amount she would summon over 1.3 million goblins and conquer the world
Colin Fonken, exact same comment I was going to make, every time he said "corps" instead of "core" it really bugged me even though I know that pronouncing corps as it's spelt is a very common mistake. I liken it to how we pronounce "colonel" as "kernel" it's just one of those words that you have to know from experience how to pronounce because trying to pronounce it phonetically from it's spelling doesn't work.
A thing about the disproportionate arms. It has been revealed that long bowmen had one arm bigger than the other to compensate for the draw weight of the bow.
Further correction, third strongest in the region, the middle kingdoms have golem armies for example that are so strong that ainz has to activate Gargantua to fight them, you can find this info in an interview he did.
No not exactly, Region means like a specific area like a specific land area. A continent means the whole land area of a continent like say all of Africa while region is more like Sahara Desert Section or the middle east section (which the overlord map is based on actually)
That army has to be an average level of 20+. The reeztize nobles forces going to carne village are 4000 elite troopers from Marquis Blumrush. In book 9 Jugemu is level 12 and hes fending off 3 level 10s. The heavy infantry have no trouble at all throwing them off and is steamrolling the troops. The magic casters are using 3rd tier magic. Same level as Arche who was 20-24. Less than Iguava who was level 28. The paladin leader is the 2nd strongest Paladin on the continent. Remedios from books 12-13 is in the domain of heros greater than or equal to 30. The paladin leader is probably close to 30 leading a bunch of 25s. The red caps are level 43 which makes them stronger than death knights. Though people seem to think enris redcaps are weaker then the mercenary red caps used by Lupusregina Beta. The strategist should be on the same level.
Remedios isn't the strongest Paladin in the region. She's either third or lower, after the goblin. So that Goblin Paladin Leader is probably higher than 30. It's in author's thoughts of vol 12. "According to Maruyama, she would be regarded as the third strongest paladin in the region after one of Enri's Goblin subordinates and another individual from the Black Scripture.[4]" Also, the author himself said the redcaps Enri has and the ones Lupusregina summoned are approximately the same level. The people saying Enri's redcaps are significantly weaker are just wrong and reading too much into the part in vol 9 where it describes Lupusregina's redcaps as "evil and twisted looking" under the moonlight. They look different but they're still about the same strength.

Goblin Army from Overlord are awesome... Goblin Army From Goblin Slayer are MONSTERS! .... Goblin army from "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" are the most adorable thing you've ever seen..
The strongest human warriors on the continent are only around level 30. Enri's army of Goblins are between levels 25 to 43. Which means that every single Goblin in that army is on par with the greatest warriors that humanity can offer!
Nice video and breakdown. Some advice, a corps is pronounced like core - Latin -> French...... The archers can be utilized in the rear ranks, but it has been proven to be quite an effective tactic to utilize the archers on the flanks, forcing the enemy forces towards the center; heavy infantry then have some fun. The cavalry would then encircle and clean up. Magic users (artillery) would massacre the troops in the center. Mongols utilized a similar tactic with no magic.
the Anime missed 1 more unit and this unit is vital for all armies the goblin Medic team a small band of alchemysts , healers and doctors to patch up the wounded as quickly and as effecently as possible in the light novel after i cant not remember but Enri's number 2 goblin has everyone run to the heavy infantry goblins and meets with the tactician he calls out to one of his healers to heal them but sadly that healer is out of mana incomes the GMC goblin medical corp as they put badly wounded humans on strechers putting potions of healing into the lighter damaged fighters and bandaging up any wounds that are bleeding badly its thanks to all of the new goblins that Carne Village survives the attack with no loses on Enri's side
There's something that I keep wandering, how do you feed an army like that? There's a point in the books which talks about the ogers and how they eat. Also that Enri has to cook for her whole army before, how's it gonna be handle in the future? Lol
Just a small nitpick, but corps is pronounced "core" and not like "corpse." A Marine Corps officer will be quicker to correct you and won't do it as nice.

The average level of the maids is over 50 I believe narbel gamma is 63 sebas is 100. The dragons that were summoned in season 1 that narbel beat were around level 48 and she 1 shot them. The only maid close to their level is delta who is 46 but also all the pleidas are equipped with some of the best gear from the tomb meaning most of them could probably slaughter the majority of the army single handedly and the floor guardians def could especially shalltear albedo or cocytus and sebas and aureole omega are both 100
I think the beast rider core are like the monguls which specialize in horseback archery, and not only able to specialize in archery they can can wild animals / beast as companions almost like a ranger. History has shown any successful army needed archery mounts for not only for pursuing horseback riders, but can purposely be chased, and kite other riders to exhaustion with rain of arrows; the monguls were successful at this in recorded history as they kited a force for a month. Also the goblin drums are like bards play music and gives buffs. =p

we still didnt see Enri summon Hob Goblins, Goblin Champion, Goblin Arch Wizards and Goblin King....cant wait to see them summon in the middle of final battle
The Goblin Beast Rider Corp appears to be hit and run units. Basically they get close fast and fire arrows, before taking off again. Remind me a house bowmen.

Paladins can use any weapon but a sword or mace would be best ,not counting their magic use , since they can use some divine magic depending of LVL Goblin bards are buffers,debuffers
If I remember well 5000 is a batallion and just barely a division in modern estimates don't quote me on that since it's just too of my head so if someone can clarify I'd appreciate it.
I mean a lot of European countries used drums to communicate with troops in terms of simple movements; I the the ancient Greeks used horns to similar affect. The navy used to use flag movements
5:19 Not neccesarely you can put the archers in the front and the infantery just behind, so in the moment that the enemy charges at you you can switch its position fast, this is a actually a common tactic used in clasic and medieval battles, if you review some historical battles, you can note what I am saying.
animeturn its a trap as the archers are at the front to get distance leverage and kill as many enemies as possible before they close the gap but slow down and move to the centre so the infantry can march to the front to protect them plus squeeze the enemies in between for a kill box. Also Calvary will normally swing out and attack from the rear. Hammer & Anvil tactic. Alexander the Great never lost a battle with this tactic.
Beast riders have heavy bolts not arrows the bolts are much thicker than arrows and are used primarily eith crossbows so the beast riders are most likely a anti armor straffing unit
I mean lets just be honest. polarms are a fine looking weapon, but a real Heavy defensive infantry would use Polarms or pikes. AND IF we being honest, Why would they march in such a long and narrow line... yes it looks pretty, much if it was supose to show the might of the goblin army, a wider shorter line would also look better:D But a fine video:D BUT you need to say less" you might think" less, such "you might think 3rd tier magic is not that good" I dont think, anyone think that is not a lot if they have not seen overlord, it been made VERY clear most casters hit 2nd tier or at most 3 tier. Any person watching this should know, so it is kind of pointless to point something out that no one would think, as only people who care about overlord "lore" would care enough to know about the goblin army unite breakdown:D
Enri is the bone dady's daughter. from the day he saved an used a high Tier healing potion. then gifts her 2 summon horns +a alchemist support. witch gives daily EXP boost fore leading an directing. by season 3 enri gets a tital and 5 tier 2 ogers and a wiald tribe of tire 1 goblins and a leading skill of a queen

I think you are giving the humans too much credit. In the light novel the soldier are not well trained and the kingdom only lasted as long as it did was because of their numbers

the horn that summoned them was a throw away item i wonder if ainz has more if im not mistaken he is said to be a collector. like when i play a online game i get like a hundred stack of what ever and store it incase the value increases.

The main goblin unite of shield-wielding axemen is cool and obviously menacing, yet come on. Such large weapons and heavy steal armor is going way overboard. I'm not even going to mention the other unites cause this force against a mere militia army of spears and swordsmen is ridiculous. Yes i know their supposed to be 'elite' soldiers from lord scarface but really, normal humans are useless without magic support in this world. Also, GOBLINS OP PLEASE NERFFFFFF!!!!!!!
My guess is on long campaigns they load their armour on wagons or pack animals and march equipped as light troops. When they encounter battle they gear up in a flurry of controlled chaos and then trudge the quarter mile to establish the front line. Probably take turns being dragged around on carts in full kit so they have a rapid reaction squad to buy time to suit up. If they have some attendants to help they can proably get a large number of troops moving forward in as little as two minutes.
I'm starting to wonder what other Goblins were summoned with that horn, I expect it summoned more than soldiers, assiasins, I wonder if it summoned Goblin merchants and farmers, they say an army marches upon its stomach, so how is Enri going to feed five thousand Goblins on top of the villagers and the five trolls, plus the group of Goblins from the first horn who now serve as her bodyguards of sorts! Still, I totally laughed out loud upon seeing the army, it caught me completely off guard, I wasn't expecting that but it was one of those moments of complete satifaction!
I'm under the same school of thought knowing the current resources of the village feeding and maintaining such an army will be difficult without expanding. I'm not quit sure the village' has available space to house such a army but, from the looks of the anime the village is small enough to walk from one side to the back side under 30 minutes but, i could be wrong. I'm also thinking of making a video about how such a army could be maintained and I'm pretty sure someone watching this video is a light novel reader and could expand on this.
From what I have read it becomes a big issue for Enri as they are forced to expand the village and make the soldiers work the fields and hunt to supply for the village. It adds a ton of responsibility to her plate.
