Overnight at Joe's Bushcraft Camp -Bough Bed ,Campfire and Carving

A 7 1/2 hour drive to put up with Joe, minimal bedding and cold weather gear, rationed coffee..... gee whiz, was any part of that trip enjoyable??? 😆

Yup Doug we still have 3' of snow in the bush up here in Thunder Bay as well. We may see a bit more Thursday and Friday at least 10-15 cms or more with this bomb cyclone coming from the mid west. We had 28.9mms of rain on Sunday followed by 2cms of snow on Monday, 10c Tuesday night. Have a great week and thanks for sharing.....Fred

7 1/2 hours from near London to Sault St. Marie means you certainly took the shortcut with your passport in hand. Dinner looked great Doug and clearly that wasn’t the bivy from hell. Fort Joe has the potential to be quite the destination. Looking forward to seeing what you get into if you’re one of the “guys” heading up to visit Shawn next weekend. Say hi as you drive through Barrie but I might be in London picking my youngest daughter up from University when you pass through.

Anyway a favour to ask, There's a guy Jerry Rosa ( Rosa String Works you tube channel )he makes repairs mainly on mandolins and guitars. but he is always looking for Deer Antler for the bridge and nut of the instrument. if you come across any and have no use for it could you drop him a line. i'm sure he'd be very grateful. And another challenge making fish lures from wood and seeing them in use when possible.

Hi Dough, I have been watching Joe for quite a while now. I finally decided to wring you up and check out your' videos compared to Joe. I actually watched this one twice. You and Joe are a teem for sure. He has a silly humor and you have a dry humor. Makes for a great amount of humor. I subscribed to you just now. I enjoy the carvings especially. I also do wood carving and drawing. I have done a ton of cowboy boots. They are easy and everyone loves cowboy boots. Every time I did one someone sees it and of course they end up owning it. I like doing what you do sit with a piece of wood and just start cutting away and what ever comes out is it. Keep on hanging with Joe everyone needs a friend like you. At a later date I will concentrate on your' carving vid's it's late now.
