Still think your a TV Presenter, the 50s Music made it too, Making another Exciting Vlog once again, and me too loved the ferry 👍and when you needed sleep and you hardly got any, you did look peaceful wile you were asleep , hope you had a good rest when you got home , well done and thanks take care G
Well done G on experiencing that trip not a way I would do it, but it was cheaper than the train. And extra kudos for using their booking system against them to get the seats you wanted!
Great trip the ferry looked amazing but I think it may have been tiring but your enthusiasm shone through good on you for doing it, very enjoyable watching it ✅✅👍👍
Kudos to you for doing that long coach journey G! Despite myself being a well experienced long distance bus traveller, I don’t think I’d be able to do that very long journey myself 😅
When I saw the title, I thought how on earth is a bus gonna drive all the way to Manchester! I forgot about the thought the ferry or the shuttle existed! The ferry looks lovely inside! Definitely a lot of character! Great vlog, G! Still cheaper than the Eurostar between London and Paris.
Earlier today I was looking at the stops on some Flixbus routes including the N603 - and then we get a video on that route from G! Gotta love these small coincidences!
Sir Edward Watkin had a vision for a Railway from Manchester to Paris back in the Victorian era but sadly it didn't happen but at least you can still a journey between the two cities via Coach! Great video G and that ship really did look awesome!
Nice vid. I've made few coach trips from London to Prague, and several car journeys from Buckinghamshire to Kosice, Slovakia back in the day. Exploring the ferry was my favourite part.
Done a night trip with Flixbus once, will avoid it in the future! Not because of Flixbus but because of the half asleep half awake state of mind you described so well in the video. I've done a lot of night train travels in proper bed, couchette and in seat and had bad and good nights sleep in each but never as bad as in the bus!
Brilliant video G, I dunno if I'd ever manage a coach journey that long lol. I do like the views on the A14 between the M1 and Cambridge. The ferry looks nice as well.
Well done G that was some endurance going on there. Was there a driver change or 2 drivers the whole trip? I didn't know Flix ran a service through, just assumed it terminated in London
Thanks for your bravery in tackling this long coach ride. I was surprised at how expensive it was. Flixbus seems to price like airlines. In other words, many months ahead, they charge what they think people will pay but as departure date gets closer they adjust the fare in line with booking patterns (which can change month by month, week by week) and so on.
Usual great vlog G. I totally agree with your comment about trying to sleep on an overnight coach as I've done a number of overnight trips and managed about one hour's sleep!
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 The ferry must have been the Isle of Innismore (means big island in Irish). Great that you had a little taste of the Emerald Isle going between France and England 😂 BTW I lived in England long ago and you passed right by where I used to live at Gravelly Hill (Spaghetti) in Birmingham!
Thanks for the video G, Irish green wwwwaaaahhhhoooo. Bad of them too change your seating plans, but good the same seating back for a pound lol😂.A very long time on a coach, loved the ferry ⛴️ great too see the sun 🌞 coming up at sea. I think my bum would go too sleep as well. How much would it have cost had you not booked it!!😎⛴️🚍🚍🚍🚍🇬🇧💚
Glad you did that so we don't have to 😁 I remember Megabus used to do London to Barcelona, now that would take some stamina. I am however with you, Eurostar or plane for me. Great fun video though.
Well done for making sure you got the seats that you wanted (very cheeky of them trying to move you to the back row) I think I would have slept through most of that journey if I tried it
Yeah that definitely was a lot cheaper than even standard class on the Eurostar + standard class on Avanti to Manchester. Surprised the bus used the ferry rather than just using the tunnel shuttle train, I know coaches can fit on that train.
Fourteen hours? Stamina in spadeloads, G! Even on a coach as fancy and comfortable as that Neoplan, that is quite the journey to undertake! I doubt I could do something like this without ending up as a zombie with a Scottish accent as I cannot sleep on a moving vehicle... 🤣
Saint Dennis 😂 all that Ferry needed too was dancing Leprechauns and Father Ted, could it be any more Irish! Great video yiu and your partner had a fantastic trip to France thanks for sharing !
After watching a few FlixBus videos this past year, Bercy Seine looks depressing and pretty sketchy, so you were lucky not to depart there. Would I do that journey? Nope😅
Hi just wanted to check if travelling from London to Paris, what is the first point of immigration is it in UK or France? . I am traveling in 9pm bus but my visa start from 00.00 3 hrs after I am in the bus ? . Will that be okh
i really enjoyed this one the journey looks like a brilliant journey to make & the coach looks amazing & same for the ferry even tho coach travel isnt my thing but if i was to do a long coach journey it def would be an overnight one for me brilliant vlog as always
11:17 It doesn't look it but I could reccommend one that would get you a good night's sleep, the overnight M11 from Manny up to Glasgow, or even the overnight M20 from London to Edinburgh or Glasgow
I can't imagine doing this when a Eurostar + train or bus is much faster and more comfortable and not that much more expensive. This is like the longest flight that I've taken. Props for sticking it out.
Hi! Intresting journey over all. Plane train bus and a ferry! All in one journey. I have to say the choice of music in today’s video, and the 20s vibe was a bit too perky in contrast to the sleepiness I’m sure you felt throughout your bus trip 😂 There is a certain feeling attached to night travel. Back in the day I drove night buses and there is a special feeling of not being 100% steady when it’s dark and you’re tired and moving. When you finally got home and sat down stationary at home I bet you still felt like you were moving still. At least I used to feel that way after a night shift. For some reason it was never like that driving buses in the daytime. 🤔. Anyway. Long post this time. I hope the trip was a good one overall with the Olympic football and everything. I guess it would have been cheaper to fly home 😂 until next time, cheers from Sweden 🇸🇪
Great video i never know there was a coach from paris to gods own city😂 that route from France to Manchester i've done loads of times as a kid with my mum and dad iether ferry or back in the day on a hovercraft ,i doubt i'd use that bus though as i'd need To make the 500kms+ journey up To Paris first so i'd be better off flying from lyon or Grenoble or Marseille straight to Manchester 😂😂 roughly live an hour from the airports except marseille 2h😂
Amazing where you can go with Flixbus these days! I may consider going all the way to Switzerland (either Zurich or Basel) with them, either via Paris or Brussels. Got an idea of an epic Flixbus challenge: how far across Europe can you get from Manchester? You should try something like Manchester - Paris - Zurich - (make sure this bit is in the daytime cos Swiss Alps) - Milan - somewhere in Southern Italy. Possibly try going eastwards to Bucharest or Istanbul?
@@GLovesTrains Birmingham has five universities: Aston University, Birmingham City University(BCU), Newman University, University of Birmingham(this is the most famous), and University College Birmingham(UCB)(this is the one the coach stops by. Plus not forgetting the Arden university also has a campus in Birmingham which is next door to the the UCB building
Very interesting video, I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to do such a long coach journey! Out of interest, what were the loadings like? My theory on why the prices dropped after you booked is that they were struggling to sell seats so dropped the prices to get enough people on it to make it worth operating?
Nice blog g but I'm not being mean but I do not like bus/coach that's why I much prefer trains and I also do get seasick to g but great video though 👍 catch up on the next video
Service is operated by Whippets who are based here so I’d imagine that bears some relevance. It’s also plenty easy enough to come out of west London (North Greenwich) straight onto the M11/A14 for a straight shot along the M6 to Birmingham. Probably more time effective than heading any further into central looking for the M1 or M40.
Sad to see the Paris Olympics now over but you got the Paralympic Games. Are Flixbus the best long distance coach company with affordable prices. I might go try it out.
Insteresting journey, not good for sleeping! If I'd known you were coming past Dover I might have popped down to say hello, I live about 25 minutes away. Superb sunrise, not often many of us get to see that in the summer. As for the journey, you slept on the M2 Medway bridge where the motorway runs alongside HS1, the train always wins! My sister in law loves the busses from France but me, never, much prefer trains or driving myself.
A fantastic vlog as always G and loved the music and you passed near my neck of the woods & Flixbus have partnered with a local firm Whippet Bus and you were able to catch up with your sleep⛴
Wow, that was a long trip, seems odd that it was cheaper to book closer to the date but I guess its to fill seats. Have you gone on the eurostar all the way to the Paris I think you might have mentioned in one video that you tried but didn't because of passports. I didn't know you could get a coach that far so that's impressive
Flixbus calls at stratford? I grew up round there although I left the place 20 years ago I still have to go through there from time to time and had no idea.
I’m glad it was you rather than me! But, that ferry looked fantastic didn’t it? I can see why people fly that distance as the train is too pricey and the coach is well… too coachy! 😂
You can take flixbus to Manchester in just under 15 hours because it runs every 6 days a week because presevoly ran from bercy seine coach station in Paris city centre
@@kenlacey2451 What makes Chapman's post an atrocity is not the misspelling, but the lack of punctuation. We are treated to a stream of consciousness that never reaches a full stop. Seeing the word because, I expect an explanation of why the coach trip takes almost 15 hours. Instead of that explanation, what Chapman delivers is an irrelevant listing of the coach station name and operating frequency. His writing style makes me wonder if he spent his schooldays in a corner flinging feces at the wall.
Every credit for taking that coach trip "G" I could never do something like that for various reasons e.g. I'd rather drive than be driven and I can never manage sleep in a car or coach but I sometimes can on a train. I suppose that's why I enjoy your videos because you do it for me and save me the bother. 🤔🤣. Can't wait till the next vlog.👍.
Fx34 not in Flixbus green it’s darker green then other ones like it’s sister fx33 both of them are darker green and I know that diver his a nice guy. Definitely not bad coaches but they are getting slowly broken by people. Also have that bus have that bus on my list of Bluetooth devices lol.
Better to do it when she's still young and quickly recovers, imagine you're close to retirement and are still putting yourself through this kind of hell *cough Scott*.
