I found this video several months ago and it has been my go-to method ever since! My hair is straight and flat, and this method makes it have so much volume and curls. I've tried so many other methods, like braids (that left my hair in zigzags rather than curls), mini buns (that stayed wet all night), and rollers (that were so uncomfortable to sleep in and fell out while I was asleep). Your method is the only one that really works for me. I wear a silk scarf over it so it won't come out while I sleep, since I move a lot while sleeping lol. I've been doing this method so often that it takes me less than 5 minutes to do it. Thank you so much for this video!!!

If you don't want to do the buns, you can do rope braids at the bottom if your hair is long enough.That's what I do since I can't sleep with buns in

The first time I did it, it turned out pretty well. It wasn't too curly, more like loose waves. I didn't twist it too hard, if that makes sense, and I didn't keep it in for very long either. The second time, I think I put it on overnight and I made the twists pretty hard so they came out overly curly, too high on my head. I looked like a clown. So I'd do it again but definitely wouldn't twist it hard or too high on my head because it looks unnatural LOL. Maybe try it on a day where you aren't going to school/work just in case.

ADVICE: I really wanna cut my hair short , but I don’t wanna look like Dora , I have thick hair and I don’t know what to do with it I fail at Dutch braids and stuff of that sort and I wanna keep It long but It’s a really big hassle.

I cut mine short a year or two ago, up to the top of my jaw initially then kept it at mid/bottom of my jaw. I've now decided I miss it long so I'm growing it out but I was scared of it just being a poofy triangle initially, turns out it's not that difficult but just wearing it down with minimal effort is more difficult when it's short. Braids that are close to your head (i.e. not the ones where you start braiding lower down with long hair) are easier when your hair is shorter, even if you only braid a little either side and pin it back you've got a quick cute hairstyle. Half up half down buns or ponytails are lifesavers to avoid Dora. Space buns or lower down buns like in this video also work fairly easily. You'll probably have to change up your hair routine to accommodate it so there's an adjustment period. Sleeping with a pineapple doesn't work so well when it's short so be aware of that if you hair's curly. Watch a tonne of short hairstyle videos, you'll find some easy ones that stick. I cut mine because looking after long hair was a pain. It took time to adjust but I loved having it short, I'm only growing it out now because I'm bored but I'd definitely recommend trying out a shorter hairstyle, just be prepared to learn some new skills :)

Cut it too mid back with some layers I have thick hair too and I did it in an a line bob and it worked for me so maybe that?

Life saver and a hair saver! I got my hair cut short because I lived how cute and pretty short hair looks when it’s curled! But I was kinda scared because I didn’t want to damage my hair. This video helped me so much! Thank you!
