Overnight in the Highest Hut of the Alps | CAPANNA MARGHERITA 4556m 

Hi there! I wanted to share a personal connection with the Capanna Regina Margherita. My father was actually part of the team involved in its reconstruction back in 1977. The stories and memories of that endeavor still resonate in our old family home. I wish he could be here today to see this video and witness the incredible passion that the current generation has for the hut. It's truly inspiring to see how people cherishes and enjoys this place. It holds a special place in my heart, knowing my father contributed to its restoration. Thank you for sharing this amazing video!

The shots of landscape people can see today because of drones is honestly pretty amazing.

This building was built in 1889. It was first constructed in the valley below, dissembled, then carried to its final location by mountaineers. A real accomplishment. That climb looks hard enough, without having to haul bits of a building. I should point out it was totally rebuilt in 1977, but still, impressive.

That night shot was absolutely stunning.

Who built that? As a general contractor, I cannot imagine the difficulties in the building that, there. The labor, material delivery, and who paid for it? Damn, what an achievement 😳🔥💯

When I saw the footage at the start I was like "omg where are these beautiful places" and suddenly realized many shots were of Switzerland, where I live and always have lived. I even grew up near the Alps, near Berns highlands. But I hardly ever go to the mountains anymore. I work in an international team at ETH Zurich and I see all the foreigners who come here and instantly spend every minute of free time in the mountains. Growing up here, close to the Alps, I've seen the beauty but also the toll these places can take. I have lost friends and family who have died in the mountains during various activites from mountain climbing, to hiking to skiing. None of them were inexperienced or wreckless in their behaviour - all were so-called "rare freak-accidents", but at some point, I had enough and decided to admire this part of my home just via videos, postcards, and - from far away. I hope you all stay safe up there

The view of the thunderstorms from that high is just absolutely incredible. One of the most breathtaking shots I've ever seen to be honest.

I've been there a couple of times, also sleeping there, and would not recommend going directly to 4500 meters. Most people will get a bad headache and it can be dangerous. You should have at least two nights at lower altitudes first. That said, the drone shots are amazing!

I love these videos. I was lucky enough to stay in a mountain hut in the shadow of the Matterhorn when I was 16. Woke up to see the crystal clear mountains and the glacier below. A life-changing event. These videos bring me back to that moment when I watch. Thank you.

That view at 4:40 at 3am with moonlight and clouds and lightning is something of absolute beauty i would stand there all night and not get tired just wow! One of best views I have ever seen really amazing 👏

Amazing, amazing, amazing footage, words can't express. Please, Bruno, don't die out there. I live at about 20 meters above sea level and have altitude problems starting at about 3,000 meters. It's not a joke. Fast and loose is not a long term plan. And folks watching, you can't just do this on a whim. These very young people were millimeters from death. If you are not born to the mountains as Bruno and his ragazzi are you will not make it.

Spectacular adventure and video Bruno. Nice drone shots. Several aspects of the place that you visited are pretty incredible: 1. The fact that you made it all the way up there safely 2. The fact that somebody before you had a hand in hauling the materials up there to build that fairly large cabin 3. The fact that it is apparently stocked with the essentials like LP gas, etc. 4. The mountain range and the geological formation(s) itself and the thought of the absolutely incredible forces of energy that went into forming such a dramatic landscape The vistas you captured were magnificent. What an adventure...!!

Firstly, beautiful. In every aspect! However, having spent time in Kyrgyzstan above 3600m, I’m amazed at your ability to function above 3000m with little acclimatisation! Bravo! Secondly, I’m doing a few huts in late September, so thank you for showing us the “winter room”. That’s put my mind at rest! Again, Gracie Mille.
